Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@ablisha honestly I'm the same. I had a day of feeling completely normal yesterday and now I'm petrified something's happened. I don't know how to shake the anxiety. If I had more symptoms I probably wouldn't feel so bad but I just don't really have much of anything x

bytheThames · 26/02/2020 10:57

@sunbreak, it’s my first time also - so I am also googling everything!
I just booked a normal appointment with the GP - but likely to cancel that as I think we can self refer in my area.
I have filled in an online self referral for my local maternity unit & apart from a automatic email I haven’t got anything back.

Getting anxious and don’t really know if I should chase or they’ll contact me in their own time. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - the whole thing is confusing!
doesn’t help that I am planner and the unknown is making me anxious.

Hi all,
Not sure if I've posted in this thread before but if I have, hello again, and if I haven't ... hi 👋
I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and due on 24 October according to NHS website. This is our first baby and I am very excited. I'm 36 and we've been trying for a while.
I'm feeling very nervous and really wish I could fast forward a few weeks to my first appointment but I know I just need to be patient! Seeing midwife on 17 March x

roarfeckingroar · 26/02/2020 16:55

Sorry to be pathetic but please could someone reassure me that this isn't going to be the absolute end of my life and freedom and I won't fail miserably? Having a huge wobble today.

myttcjourney · 26/02/2020 17:01

Hi everyone,

I'm due 26th October going by NHS calculator

So 5 weeks 5 days

My main symptoms is sore boobs! Never known anything like it. I roll over in bed and it's like I've been punched 😂. Please tell me it's not just me!!!

I will be having an early scan or 2 😂 xx

tulip2020 · 26/02/2020 17:27

@roarfeckingroar honestly I had a massive wobble for a whole week after I found out, and we'd been trying for 6 months and I was desperate for a baby so can't imagine what it felt like as a surprise! When I freak out I just think to myself literally every person on the planet has parents so if they all managed to do it so can we haha 💪

Frankincense88 · 26/02/2020 17:32

@myttcjourney me too! Mine are like bloody boulders! I usually get it before I'm due on but it's just gradually got worse but isn't so bad today. Also more veiny which I've read is something that can happen too!

Not feeling exhausted today and no cramps. Tiny bit of nausea but barely anything and it hasn't stopped me eating today 😂

Still doing tests every day to make sure it's still in there - don't think I'll be able to relax until 20+ weeks 😩

1990shopefulftm · 26/02/2020 17:36

@bytheThames I self referred the website said to ring if you don't hear within 2 weeks, hoping they ll ring before then though.

@tulip2020 thank you Thanksyou're such an angel. I only really found out a few days ago and although I'm happy it's still very scary.

Congratulations, you must be over the moon if you've been trying for a while?

DressingGown87 · 26/02/2020 17:55

@roarfeckingroar don’t worry we all have these wobbles! I’ve been so emotional, about it all, maybe because I’m on my own 🙈 and it’s a huge shock! I have 4 holidays booked and need to cancel them, but waiting until my scan.

@Frankincense88 glad I’m not the only one who keeps testing!

@myttcjourney I’m 5+5 too Smile

roarfeckingroar · 26/02/2020 18:07

@DressingGown87 I am going to Italy in March (where I have a strong suspicion a proposal may be in the cards - not baby related) and then India and Sri Lanka in early July. Absolutely adamant we are still going!

roarfeckingroar · 26/02/2020 18:08

@DressingGown87 by on your own do you mean single? Bloody well done for being so strong. We are here Smile

Peach7744 · 26/02/2020 18:09

Hello! Can I join, I am due 31st October, I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in November so feeling very anxious but so so hopeful and excited too ❤️❤️

DressingGown87 · 26/02/2020 18:29

@roarfeckingroar I’m due to get a flight to Thailand on my due date 🙈 plus Thailand travelling, Croatia traveling and New York. Plus I have a few festivals booked for this year, abroad and in the UK. As I’m “high risk” I’m going to have to have weekly injections, bloods and regular scans, so the GP said I won’t be able to travel. But I’m going to check with my consultant and midwife at my scan on Monday.

Aww hopefully you can have a ring on your finger! Exciting times, would love to visit them places!

And yes, it’s been a huge decision, as he doesn’t want anything to do with me or the baby. But given my history of mc and low fertility. I’ve come to the conclusion what’s meant to be, is to be. 🤞🏽

@Peach7744 congratulations 🥳 fingers crossed for your rainbow baby.

ablisha · 26/02/2020 18:50

@DressingGown87 you sound an amazing lady! We are all here so you're not fully alone Smile

ablisha · 26/02/2020 18:51

I meant to add I just got this through the post! Hence the random photo on the last message

myttcjourney · 26/02/2020 18:53

@Frankincense88 it's just the worst pain! Mine are also really vainy too. Feel like a hot mess and it's only going to get worse 🤣

Does anyone know how late ovulation affects what you see on a scan. I know everything is done on a 28 day cycle and day 14 ovulation. So if you ovulate late, when can you expect the same thing on a scan

If you ovulate day 18 does that mean your 4 days behind? xxx

Frankincense88 · 26/02/2020 18:59

@myttcjourney not sure but would be interested to know as I ovulated day 17!

myttcjourney · 26/02/2020 19:04

@Frankincense88 I am having another early scan at the EPU tomorrow so I will ask them

I've been googling and have no idea what they will see. I think maybe just a gestational sack, because I assume I'll be measuring behind

All so confusing!!!

tulip2020 · 26/02/2020 19:49

@roarfeckingroar oh yes so so happy when I found out, then I had about 3 days feeling really weird and panicking that now I'm pregnant and then I'll be a mum and there's no going back haha. I think it must be natural as you process things! Ooh I hope you're right about a proposal, what an amazing year it will be for you if so!!

@DressingGown87 you sound like an incredibly brave and strong lady! This baby will be so lucky to have you!

Also confession... I bought some maternity jeans on Asos this morning 😂 just seemed pointless buying normal ones that won't fit in a few months but now I feel a bit crazy haha!

Flora20 · 26/02/2020 19:52

Weirdly I've not got sore boobs this time round, which I'm so grateful for as I'm still feeding my 2 year old and that would be 😧

Decided I'm going to ring the midwife and get an appointment booked after work tomorrow, I know I won't get one for another 3 weeks or something but I want to tell someone else, even if it's just the receptionist 😂

DressingGown87 · 26/02/2020 20:13

@ablisha @tulip2020 thank you both! It’s a rollercoaster, but I’ve fastened my seat belt 🙈 I’m sure there will lots of up days, and down, especially with my hormones an anxiety!

@tulip2020 I haven’t bought anything, but returned some unworn (still with tags) clothes, as I thought there was no point of keeping them! Doubt my size 8 jeans will fit for much longer, probably due to the amount of biscuits I’ve consumed!

@myttcjourney Good luck with your scan tomorrow!

Frankincense88 · 26/02/2020 20:14

I take it all back... cramps are back with a vengeance!! Just spent the last 15 minutes feeling like my insides were going to fall out. Nausea came in a wave but has now died down. 😩

myttcjourney · 26/02/2020 20:30

@DressingGown87 thank you so much

@Frankincense88 do your cramps feel like period cramps? I had them badly for days but now I have different cramps, I think they may be from being constipated 😂

Frankincense88 · 26/02/2020 20:50

@myttcjourney yeah like really intense period cramps. They sort of come in waves and I just have to take deep breaths until they're gone. Usually my period cramps are more of a dull ache and last longer but these are much more intense. No spotting or bleeding and I've read it's just your uterus stretching. I've been doing daily tests just to be certain because every little thing scares me!
