Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

@frankincense88 I'm staying here too so you won't be all on your own! I don't use Facebook much at all so I'd much rather stay on here.

Frankincense88 · 14/03/2020 17:19

@AdventureAhead that's good to know 😘

firstpregnancy20 · 14/03/2020 17:24

I am also going to stay here.. I haven't told people yet..and I don't trust FB if some random notifications come up.
Anyways is anyone having nausea all the time.. my diet in pregnancy has actually declined.. I don't feel like eating anything

roarfeckingroar · 14/03/2020 17:48

@Frankincense88 @AdventureAhead @firstpregnancy20 brilliant - I really don't like Facebook and would way rather stay here.

roarfeckingroar · 14/03/2020 17:49

@sunbreak you need to sign in on a computer of tablet I think; can't see it on the app.

@firstpregnancy20 mine has subsided fortunately but just eat what you can when you can.

DressingGown87 · 14/03/2020 18:00

I’m staying here too!

I’ve been on a walk today, and braved the supermarket! Genuinely need to pee all the time, and I have one roll of toilet left! Rations!

MamaNaz20 · 14/03/2020 19:14

I had a private scan today ladies just to see if all is well in case in need to tell my boss earlier than planned
I am (or should be 7W+1) but I was only measuring 6W - instead of being reassured I am now a bit nervous
Although on the positive side there was a beautiful heartbeat and the sonography was not concerned at all, because the size of the sac matched the size of the baby ... they just thought it's my estimation of conception that's wrong, but I don't think it is, I have followed my cycles closely for 5 cycles and can't be that wrong ...

I remember somebody else was measuring small at some point, but can't remember who?

I am going to try not to get too nervous until the next scan - I have another private one booked for week 10 which is Early April ... but I am off to google to search nevertheless

MamaNaz20 · 14/03/2020 19:54

OK now I read enough things on google to get really concerned. Quite a few threads from people who measured small and lost their baby consequently... I don't think I can wait another four weeks to get the second private scan :(

ellenpartridge · 14/03/2020 20:35

Mamanaz I hope all is OK!

Sunbreak and anyone else if you do want to do come to the FB group just PM me your email address

1990shopefulftm · 14/03/2020 20:37

@MamaNaz20 perhaps you conceived a couple of days after ovulating and the scan was a little out. The chance of something going wrong is supposed to be lower once you ve heard the heartbeat so there's hope.

Applesandlemons · 14/03/2020 21:17

I’m not going anywhere! Don’t feel it’s all real enough to join a Facebook group yet so just prefer to keep things on here.

Been a bit quiet recently as I’m still suffering with really bad “morning” sickness and off work. Eating and drinking is so difficult. Remembering to be grateful as I just want all to go well, but I’d be lying if I said I was having an easy time :(

Hope you’re all having a good weekend.

DressingGown87 · 14/03/2020 21:20

@MamaNaz20 it might have been me?
I know my date of conception, as I wasn’t TTC and it was just that once with that guy!
My first scan was measuring small, but my last scan on Wednesday it was only -2 days. They said at this point, it’s so hard to get the dates right, and that’s why dating scans are generally at 12 weeks. Hopefully my scan this week, it’s caught up. I hope your not worrying too much, the dates might be out slightly, and hopefully it will catch up. Could you move your scan to 9 weeks? Xx

Piglet11 · 15/03/2020 08:04

@MamaNaz20 I had a scan at 6+4 after ivf so I knew the date exactly and both babies were measuring at 6 weeks. He specifically said to me not to look at the measurements as they are to small to get a proper measurement so early. Hence why they usually only scan you at 12 weeks.

Is anyone else feeling like they have been kicked in the vagina/ feel pressure down there? I’m probs finding it worse as there’s 2 in there but still unsure if it’s normal? It’s my first pregnancy and I’m a size 6.

DressingGown87 · 15/03/2020 09:25

@Piglet11 has it sunk in now there is two? I get sharp pains sometimes down there which go, and sometimes tightening feelings.

Flora20 · 15/03/2020 09:32

I'm so rubbish at keeping up to date on here. 9 weeks tomorrow, still another 2 and a half weeks until my midwife appointment and I'm getting fed up of constant exhaustion! It was nothing like this with my first... I don't recommend having a toddler while pregnant!

Anyone feeling concerned about the coronavirus situation? Not so much the virus itself as the impact on maternity services... I'm assuming scans etc won't be too badly affected but midwife clinics could be a no go...

Piglet11 · 15/03/2020 09:36

@DressingGown87 absolutely not. I’m not telling anyone except parents as I’m so concerned that something could go wrong. I would love it If I could just click my fingers and be 7 months from now. It’s so hard to know what’s normal and what’s not and the discomfort of my cervix is concerning me at the moment.

DressingGown87 · 15/03/2020 09:47

@piglet11 try and speak your midwife, hopefully they can give you some reassurance. But I think the general guidelines are “unless pain is accompanied with fresh blood, don’t panic” easier said than done! If you find the magic click, let me know!

@Flora20 don’t worry, I bet you are! I’m just so bored, with the lack of things to do, so quite the opposite. Is this your booking appointment and scan?

I’m trying not to worry about it. I think midwifes will stay in their own zone, as they can’t stop people giving birth. Mine is all the hospital, but a separate building. So I’m trying to avoid walking through the main building, to get to my appointments. My friend who is due to give birth in 2 weeks, said it’s no visitors apart from DP and they have said only go in when in full labour, as they want people in and out quickly.

1990shopefulftm · 15/03/2020 10:06

I was going to tell work this week but my private scan is Saturday so I decided to leave it a bit longer, I know they're going to be surprised and when I need to pop out for my booking appointment there's not much they can do anyway.
I've had no signs there's anything wrong really but I just thought I don't want to say I m pregnant and then a couple of days later have to go through telling everyone what's wrong.

@DressingGown87 DH is completely against a home birth but he's said if coronavirus is still going on and my midwife okays it then maybe he can get over it. we're that close to the hospital an ambulance transfer would be less than 5 minutes.

With the separate entrances, I m sure the midwives are able to take every precaution they can.

1990shopefulftm · 15/03/2020 10:10

@Flora20 I'm 7 weeks and have been tired since I found out really and it's my 1st baby and I work in an office and even just pottering about the house after work makes me tired. I've been sat on the sofa studying and doing surveys a lot because i m not up to much else.

OP posts:
firstpregnancy20 · 15/03/2020 10:19

@flora20 I am also first time pregnant and super tired all the time ..don't feel like getting up...and bad nausea all the time...
Also it's better that our due date is later .. hopefully coronavirus thing will get settled soon.

firstpregnancy20 · 15/03/2020 10:23

@Applesandmoms I am feeling the same and went to work 2 times in last 2 weeks ..and all my work is getting delayed.. i am also worried that I am not providing enough nutrition to my baby but even the sight of food makes me sick..
And it is just the starting..

DressingGown87 · 15/03/2020 10:24

@1990shopefulftm I know our hospital has separate entrances. So I’m hoping they just corner that bit off. If I park near the main entrance, I use to walk through, but now walk round. Glad I’m not the only one sat on the sofa! I’m only 5 minutes away too, and live across from 5 hospital staff. They always came in handy when the step kids, cut or hurt themselves, saved me a few trips to a&e.

I think with work, just see how it goes. Everything is changing day to day, hopefully you can hold off until your private scan. Ive told work, because I didn’t want to have to be visiting schools, or sites where there are little facilities for hand washing etc.

1990shopefulftm · 15/03/2020 10:39

@DressingGown87 Apart from the people coughing at work worrying me a little since I ve had no morning sickness and apart from being tired all the time I feel fine doing my job and theres lots of sinks everywhere telling them won't make a difference really.

They can easily put some cones down to direct people a certain way round the hospital. I know my gp triages people well so hopefully when I go to my midwife appointments waiting in the reception for a few minutes isn't a big worry.

Thank you so much ladies for reassurance.

My nausea is going down and I feel less hungry now- my signs aren't as strong as last week- so that doesn't feel right :( I keep thinking whatever happens it happens - can't do anything about it anyhow ...

Hope you are all well :)

1990shopefulftm · 15/03/2020 11:25

@MamaNaz20 From the reasonably reliable health sources I've found online, there's no scientific evidence to say lack of nausea increases your chance of miscarriage so I wouldn't panic about not having so much of it.
