Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

OP posts:

@Jaffas22 yeah just what I needed cause my anxiety was killing me! I'm 7 weeks exactly :) xxx

Minster2012 · 11/03/2020 20:56

Evening

I’ve been keeping quiet & hoping the thread can keep my dreams alive 🤞🏻as had my private abdominal scan yesterday (after mean mum comment) in advance of my antenatal endocrine appointment yesterday, & the private scanner couldn’t see anything but she said it could be as I have lots of internal scar tissue. Outside hospital my head in a spin I judged another car when parking, burst into tears, the guy wouldn’t even give me his details, no damage to them really popped my bumper a bit.

Long story short after 1.5hrs at endocrine (another county hospital to my IVF but where my oncology stuff is based) they got me an EPU appointment for today. So 3 hours later I drove the long 1.5 hours back home in limbo.

Today at EPU scan hoping to show 7+3 showed small gestation sac, no yolk/fetal pole or heartbeat but also an ovarian cyst & cant rule out ectopic but certainly not 7+3 they would say very early which shouldn’t be for IVF

Took beta HCG so will get result tomorrow morning hopefully & likely repeat Friday (cue scramble to get DS into nursery Friday) to see if growing or more likely scenario of stopped growing & the stabbing pains I occasionally felt but put down to cramping was apparently not right & the meds likely holding back a miscarriage

Oh and I need to actually talk to my ACTUAL clinic 🤦🏼‍♀️
So the tiniest sliver of hope but not much I’m afraid will know a bit more tomorrow

Jaffas22 · 11/03/2020 20:57

@Danielle95lab aw wow! Our dates are the same! I have early scan Sunday I hope I have the same outcome as you ☺️

Jaffas22 · 11/03/2020 21:01

@Minster2012 thoughts are with you! Really hope tomorrow brings you some good news!

Danielle95lab · 11/03/2020 21:03

@Jaffas22 Yey due date buddies 💕 aw I'm sure you will, I feared the worst and when she couldn't see anything on the normal ultrasound I died inside. But then with the internal the baby was as clear as day. Really magical moment, enjoy every minute of it 🥰

@Minster2012 Omg that sounds awful, I can't even imagine what you're going through. I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. There's still hope though so I have everything crossed for you!!! Don't give up hope just yet xxxx

Gupster · 11/03/2020 21:26

Hi ladies, I am 7 weeks tomorrow with my first, I have my first midwife appointment next Thursday 19th and a reassurance early scan booked for next Sunday 22nd, been so anxious as symptoms keep coming and going and today nothing. I'm hoping the early scan will settle my nerves. Wishing you all lots of luck x

KitKatKit · 11/03/2020 21:27

@Minster2012 That sounds awful, I'm so sorry that's the day you've had. Crossing fingers for good news for you. Xx

DressingGown87 · 11/03/2020 21:33

I’ve just got back from my 2nd scan! It’s grown!! And it’s now measuring about right, and there is a good heartbeat. All looking fine! Although slightly resembles a puppy! Can breath again, next scan Wednesday morning.

@1990shopefulftm I’ve not had sickness really, midwife said it’s normal the lack of symptoms. But not to count my chickens.

@Danielle95lab glad your scan went well

Hope everyone is feeling ok!

sunbreak · 12/03/2020 10:50

@Minster2012 fingers crossed it's not as bad as it looks at the moment! Hope everything turns out ok for you at the end

Frankincense88 · 12/03/2020 11:29

@Minster2012 got everything crossed for you today! Xxx

DressingGown87 · 12/03/2020 11:39

@minister2012 I’m so sorry, completely bypassed this page of the thread when I posted last night!

Hope your ok, thinking of you today and have everything crossed!

@roarfeckingroar good luck today x

roarfeckingroar · 12/03/2020 13:41

Wonderful news @Danielle95lab !!

Fingers crossed and thoughts with you @Minster2012

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 12/03/2020 18:26

Got my first midwife appointment on Tuesday and then early private scan Wednesday so an exciting but terrifying week
Last 3 days I've felt so sick and today had odd cramps like I'm going to have an upset stomach with a massive urge to go but gone and nothing also a smidge of backache just hoping that it's all normal
Is anyone else over analysing everything and utterly terrified of miscarrying?

ablisha · 12/03/2020 19:07

Hope you're ok @Minster2012

I've been keeping quiet as anxiety has fully taken over and have been put back on 20mg of fluoxetine

Hope everyone's ok

Danielle95lab · 12/03/2020 19:08

@Eatsleepbakerepeat don't worry I saw my baby's heartbeat yesterday and then had a few cramps today and still panicked 😂 I think it's normal to over analyse. You've got an exciting week next week, enjoy it!xxx

DressingGown87 · 12/03/2020 19:59

@Danielle95lab and @ablisha I’m the same! Nervous wreck. Anxious and panicking, midwife said to just keep trying to relax.

@eatsleepbakerepeat I think the first trimester is so nerve racking. I’ve had a lot of cramps, twinges, feeling like I’m coming on, but been told it’s all normal.

Eatsleepbakerepeat · 12/03/2020 20:03

@Danielle95lab @DressingGown87 thank you I think I just need to calm down!! The nausea has been unreal tho and retching hoping that passes soon!!!
I guess when I think today has almost felt like really mild versions of what I get before i get my period hopefully all normal

Minster2012 · 12/03/2020 22:16

Thank you ladies, so my beta HCG result today was 1420 which is very low (about 6 weeks should be c1500 & I should be 7+3 yesterday when taken) as it was IVF so yes it confirms pregnancy but it’s likely either ectopic or was higher & declining so we don’t know til we do the repeat tomorrow at same time (which was late, 4pm bloods so won’t know result till sat) to know more.

There’s the slightest chance it could for some reason (but I don’t know why & they wouldn’t answer til we have a second result) it could be a visible pregnancy but just grown slower & smaller & still be ok but it’s only the smallest chance. As the scan & testing done not in my IVF hospital (but in my hospital where I have other conditions treated but is 1.5hours drive away) I spoke to my clinic & explained this other hospital are happy for my IVF clinic to take over...but my IVF clinic weren’t. They gave me a lecture saying I should have turned down the EPU scan I was offered whilst the sonographer was literally on the phone to the sister then & there (when I had childcare for toddler) & called them & hoped they could have got me in over the next few days 🤔(when I didn’t have childcare for toddler) & now they can’t do anything & it was all “I can’t comment as it wasn’t here”

Very frustrating & limbo again til sat 🤞🏻🤞🏻

BS9790 · 13/03/2020 07:16

I'm back for another scan on Sunday.
Stupidly jumped down some small steps at work, cracked my head on the ceiling and went flying down steps. Ligament damage to foot and knee, and a sore lumpy head. But terrified I've caused some damage to pregnancy, I've fallen with huge force from a height, and landed on my front. Can't have a scan til Sunday so it's just a waiting game!

roarfeckingroar · 13/03/2020 09:13

I have my scan this afternoon then meeting another potential doula. Exciting Smile.

roarfeckingroar · 13/03/2020 09:14

@Minster2012 gosh that sounds so stressful, I'm sorry you're going through it. Fingers crossed.

@BS9790 that is quite funny though, the sort of clumsy sh*t I would do. Hopefully you'll be absolutely fine with a story to tell.

WestyNottingham · 13/03/2020 09:47

Hello! I'm popping over to the pregnancy pages from the October 2020 baby club to say hello. Our thread has gone really quiet because all the chatter is over on Facebook. It's a secret and private group, so your real life friends won't see that you've joined it, or see anything you post or comment there. I realised that most of us were due in the first half of the month and there must be more people out there somewhere by now! If you're interested in joining us, message me, @Treaclepie19, @Supper16, @charlottees89 or @Wintergal (or all of us!!) and one of us will add you.
I had a facebook baby group for my August 2017 son and it's still really active - hope you guys can join us!

ellenpartridge · 13/03/2020 09:51

Hi all, I am rubbish at keeping up on Mumsnet especially as the thread is getting so long but hope everyone is doing well!

I just wanted to ask if anyone is interested in an October 2020 babies Facebook group? One has been set up by posters on the other October thread. I am in there although lying a bit low until my 13 week scan. If anyone would like to join please PM me and I will sort out an invitation.

It would be nice to have more late October mums in there as I'm currently bringing up the rear with a 30 October due date among lots of early October dates!

I was (still am!) in a Mumsnet FB group with my daughter and it was a fab support.

ellenpartridge · 13/03/2020 09:52

I obviously mean 12 week not 13 week... Fat fingers already?! 😂

roarfeckingroar · 13/03/2020 10:02

@WestyNottingham that would be nice, thanks. Can you PM on the app?
