@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

Still feeling pretty Ok here! Have had trouble sleeping - crazy vivid dreams. Just feeling kind of restless and almost bursting with anticipation about telling DH when he get home tomorrow! Eeeekk! I know I should be enjoying the peace of an empty house but I'm counting down the minutes!

Hhdxx · 29/02/2020 21:02

Heya! I feel good just a bit tired and a bit sicky. My boobs are really sore and veiny haha xxxx no spotting since Thursday night so hopefully all is good xxx

Needallthesleep · 29/02/2020 21:42

Thanks for asking. I’m still in the middle of this awful cold. I’ve decided there is actually nothing worse than being pregnant in your first trimester with a toddler and a bad cold.

Talcott2007 · 01/03/2020 02:45

Well this I new....I feel so sick! Like properly it's woken me up and I cant get back to sleep - nauseous. Bizarre. Who'd have thought middle of night sickness would be a thing! I hope this is a one off.

professorastrocat · 01/03/2020 08:53

I'm very tired and very nauseous. It's horrible, I'm not actually being sick but nearly have a few times. Been this bad just over a week now so resigned myself to feeling like this and praying it's just for first trimester. I'm very thankful I don't have a cold too @Needallthesleep !
Feel so sorry for people who get HG.

BooMamaBear · 01/03/2020 09:38

Oh dear girls hope you all start feeling better soon - @Talcott2007 -so your DH is back today now?
I'm still getting nausea it was in the afternoon but today it's this morning! My boobs were sore last night they're not too bad when I've got a bra on!! I still get vivid dreams but they're about everyday things so I'm never sure whether they actually happened or are a dream!! Xx

Have a lovely announcement day @Talcott2007 !

Talcott2007 · 01/03/2020 17:18

So DH got back with DD a couple of hours ago. The announcement went well. Conveniently DD asked to go off and play in her room almost straight away (we aren't planning on saying anything to her until after the anomaly scan at 20w) it was kind of funny - he was unpacking the car, passing me stuff and I was passing back things that normally live in the boot of the car and I as he was finishing up I just sort of said "wait there's one more thing" and handed him the test and he just sort of took it and started walking back to the car with it and then there was this sort of pause when he realised what is given him a and what then like "Woah! You realise that this means you can't drink any of the Rosé or like 80% of the cheese I just brought you back from France. But don't worry I'll have it for you!" - Geee Thanks DH! What a team player!

Anon87 · 01/03/2020 17:46

@Talcott2007 This sounds lovely and I'm gutted for your cheese sacrifice 😆

I'm 12dpo now and thought I'd jump the gun and switch my FEM app from TTC to "I'm Pregnant". It's so strange!

Tomorrow is bang on 4 weeks and my first day off for a while so will be ringing the docs to start the ball rolling. Symptoms are still all about the boobs. It's the middle part what is usually flat from breastfeeding back in the day are swollen and throbbing. Taking a bra off without switching to a supportive top staright away or standing in the shower is just out of the question. Had me in tears the other night.

Tiredness is starting to kick in a lot too, like I can feel it behind my eyes.

Hhdxx · 01/03/2020 18:39

Hey everyone! I don't feel very sick today, only just over 5 weeks pregnant. I haven't done any more pregnancy tests as I've spent so much on them the last two weeks 😂😂 I decided to use one of my cheap opk tests, I know they're meant for ovulation but I thought I'd read something on it before. It's the strongest one I've ever seen, the one line that is always there was soooo faint and the other one was really dark!!! Has anyone done this or is it just me 😂😂😂 hope you're all well xxxxxxxx

Needallthesleep · 01/03/2020 19:35

Ahh @Talcott2007 glad you had a lovely announcement. But also gutted for you on the wine and cheese front! I’ve just had the in laws round, we haven’t told them yet so am faking the drinking.

Needallthesleep · 01/03/2020 19:42

Is anyone else worried about getting through work with the tiredness/sickness? I’m really worrying about it

Hhdxx · 01/03/2020 19:55

Also, my boobs were so sore the last few days but now they're not that sore. Still a little bit but not much. Should I be worrying? Xxx

Hhdxx · 01/03/2020 19:57

@Talcott2007 congrats! I've just gone to have my favourite French cheese... Comte! But it's raw milk and I can't have it. I feel your pain haha xxx

BooMamaBear · 01/03/2020 20:07

@Talcott2007 -love the way you did it!
I miss blue cheese, rare steak Prosecco and red wine!!
My boobs hurt loads the first time but then i breastfed for 6 months and they got less sensitive so they're not too bad and weren't the last twice either! They're tender xx

Anon87 · 02/03/2020 07:29

DP decided to "try" the gin he bought me for Christmas last night. Fuming 😆

Hhdxx · 02/03/2020 08:22

@Anon87 it's so hard isn't it! I really wanted a beer Friday and Sunday but it's so worth it too!!

My boobs are still sore today, they don't feel as bad as the other day though. Shouldn't they be getting worse? Xxx

Anon87 · 02/03/2020 08:29

@Hhdxx I've not "fancied" a drink yet but I'm pretty certain I'll pick up some non alcoholic Kopparbergs at some point.

My boobs have good and bad days, the chesty bit is always sore and tender but the actual boob seems to be easing off if that makes any sense haha

professorastrocat · 02/03/2020 10:03

Morning all 😊
Love the announcement @Talcott2007 and the fact that for a few seconds he was like yup pregnancy test goes back in the boot 🤣

@Hhdxx I don't think that less sore boobs is anything to worry about, mine aren't as sore though they are more swollen. The only time they hurt a bit is when I first wake up.

Nausea on the other hand can just bugger off now, feeling fed up. And definitely worried about getting through the next few weeks at work @Needallthesleep - are you feeling sick too? I just keep thinking only 5 more weeks then hopefully things will change into the second trimester. I also have been feeling a bit down (more negative thoughts than normal a bit like pmt) and a quick search on Mumsnet has reassured me how normal this is (didn't have this or nausea with my first - I went through a very stressful time with ill health in the family when I found out I was pregnant first time and I think the adrenaline from that cancelled out any early symptoms!)
Just going a day at a time (trying to).

Hhdxx · 02/03/2020 10:36

@Anon87 mine are the exact same! Haha they feel a bit bruised xxx

Hhdxx · 02/03/2020 10:38

@professorastrocat I can't sleep on my chest they hurt 😂😂😂 oopsy. They just don't feel as swollen anymore but I suppose time will tell. Can't believe I'm over 5 weeks pregnant 😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️ this is all so exciting 😁😁

BooMamaBear · 02/03/2020 10:57

I'm pretty stocked up got fake sparkling wine and alcohol free pear cider (kopparberg) problem is I can't drink much of either coz they're quite sweet! So I'm also drinking still and sparkling water and pineapple juice with lemonade -apart from decaf tea, still water and juice everything else is fizzy which is why I crave red wine (fake ones taste like Vimto!)!
Got into bed last night and said to DH that my right boob is fine - then this morning DD comes into our room to what TV then decided to go to the loo putting all her weight on her elbow which is right on my right boob owww it hurt so much my eyes watered!! Xx

Needallthesleep · 02/03/2020 11:18

@professorastrocat yes, spent an hour this morning sat on the floor of the toilets trying not to be sick. I’m really worried about it, my workplace is the kind where you need to be switched on the whole time, I’ve only been there 8 months so still trying to prove myself, and in a senior position where I can’t hide. My last pregnancy the morning sickness only lasted to nine weeks, so I’m really really hoping this is the same.

How are you getting through it? Nice to know someone else in the world is struggling through as well!

Hhdxx · 02/03/2020 12:22

@BooMamaBear sparkling wine sounds good! Where did you get that from? I've been drinking a lot of water and decaf coke. I was a diet coke addict!

@Needallthesleep sorry to hear your feeling sick! How many weeks are you? Xxxx I just get little waves of it at the moment, nothing too bad rhankfully. Will probably get worse though as I'm just over 5 weeks xxx

BooMamaBear · 02/03/2020 12:35

I think the worst of my sickness has passed thankfully as I not felt too bad last few days!!
Sparkling wine is from Sainsbury's £2.75 a bottle!! It taste a bit like fizzy apple juice but I like it and it looks like the real thing!! Xx
