@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

@Wise0wl @Professorastrocat I hope it eases off for you (and us all) but I'll throw in that my cousin is 28 weeks with her first and still can barely keep anything down. She's fuming!! Picky eater anyway but could have alwayived happily ever after on mash and gravy but at the moment, nadda.

professorastrocat · 28/03/2020 10:41

Yeah I'm nearly 6 weeks of it being constant. Praying it goes away!! 🙏

Needallthesleep · 28/03/2020 12:57

Same same on the sickness. I’m 10+3 today, and it’s starting to ease. It’s so so tough! Especially because very specific foods help my sickness, and I can’t get my hands on them at the moment. I’m really struggling.

professorastrocat · 28/03/2020 13:40

Pasta for me @Needallthesleep ! 😂

Needallthesleep · 28/03/2020 14:37

Ahaha @professorastrocat. I’m vegetarian but desperate for burgers. And cheese on soft white bread. And Nando’s sauce. Ahhhhhhh!

At least you can get your hands on pasta?!

professorastrocat · 28/03/2020 14:43

Not recently thanks to all the panic buyers! I promise I didn't buy all the shops out of pasta in the last 6 weeks! Was the same last time (though without the nausea) I'm surprised my son didn't come out looking like fusilli.

I suppose you can have the cheese and bread...?

BooMamaBear · 28/03/2020 17:14

Sorry girls just been getting more stressed as my CVS gets closer so not been on for a while -I'm not too bad thanks for asking @professorastrocat - I'm 11+2 today and am just trying not to think about my scan and test on Tuesday -I'm gonna have to go on my own as DH will need to look after DD he's going to drop me off and pick me up it's crap tho coz it really hurts when the needle goes through the abdominal wall so I prefer to have DH with me and I always feel really sick after!
@Needallthesleep -it's 50/50 same a gender probability but while gender is decided by the sperm the chance of the baby being affected is decided by the egg -if it has my dads chromosome 19 is affected if it has my mums it's not! It doesn't depend on the gender of the baby it's just coincidence that my DD was fine and my two little boys since weren't!
My scan is Tuesday at 10am the consultant did say she though my placenta may be posterior which does affect CVS as it makes it more difficult so I'm just hoping they can still do it I want to get it over with!
Speaking about placement my last 3 pregnancies have always been anterior with my DD they said it's better for CVS but you probably feel kicks later as the placenta blocks them earlier on! Xx

Totally understandable to feel that way @BooMamaBear now it's finally here. Sorry your DH can't be with you x

Talcott2007 · 29/03/2020 11:53

Well the worst symptom from my last pregnancy has well and truly kicked in now! Super sensitive extreme sense of smell! Oh god everything smells so horrific!! I am struggling to do anything! Can't set foot in the kitchen if the fridge do is open. I can't stand the smell of DH or even poor DD! (I'm such a bad mother!) They eat something with garlic in last night it literally coming out of their pores!

Lola871 · 29/03/2020 19:56

Hey everyone, good luck for Tuesday @BooMamaBear!

I'm 6+4 now, it's going very slowly! Have nausea on and off lost days, kind of feels like motion sickness, it's enough to make me not really want to do anything but not enough that I feel really I'll if that makes sense? I bought some nausea bands to try so going to see how I get on with those!

Also getting a lot of period type pains, and in between the symptoms I'm knackered! It's all fun and games isn't it! I've managed to walk every day although I haven't been in the gym for over a week, must try to get in there tomorrow (I have a home gym luckily!)

professorastrocat · 30/03/2020 17:40

I definitely had period type pains around 6 weeks @Lola871 ! I'm quite jealous of your home gym! I think I need to find myself some pregnancy keep fit vids,
Realistically I don't think I'll manage anything harder...

I felt it this morning getting up and losing the hour from yesterday - I just now feel really tired and siiiiiick. I think my partner is bored of me mentioning feeling sick now, but hey he doesn't have to go through it!

Hhdxx · 30/03/2020 18:45

@@BooMamaBear good luck for tomorrow, I will be thinking about you xx

@professorastrocat I've been doing Zumba on YouTube 😂 my husband thinks I'm mad haha xx

Wise0wl · 30/03/2020 19:40

Just jumping on to wish you loads of luck tomorrow @BooMamaBear!

BooMamaBear · 30/03/2020 21:39

Thinking of you today @BooMamaBear. How long do the results take to come?

I had a huge cry yesterday at everything. I feel sick still, absolutely exhausted, still expected to work full time but also have the toddler to look after. My DH is nice but clearly doesn’t get how awful I feel and thinks I’m being lazy. Ahhhhj.

BooMamaBear · 31/03/2020 07:50

Thanks - if they're not delayed trisomy and gender results usually take 3 days and MD result which is the highest risk one takes 5 days ish!
Hope you start feeling better soon @Needallthesleep xx

Thinking of you today @BooMamaBear ❤️

I'm sorry you felt crap yesterday @Needallthesleep I have my really tired days then I feel really rubbish all round. I think my oh always wants to be able to fix things and he can't do anything about me feeling ill etc so sometimes it comes across as he doesn't have sympathy.

I'm sure he can't think you're lazy 🙁 even if you didn't throw pregnancy into the mix that's a huge amount on your plate. I hope having a good cry helped, sometimes it does! We deserve to stop and think of ourselves and what we need. Xxxx

Talcott2007 · 31/03/2020 09:31

Another one checking in to wish you all the best for your tests today. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Hhdxx · 31/03/2020 10:04

Random question...
When do you start getting a bump? I'm sure my belly looks more swollen? I've lost a few pounds as I haven't been able to eat as much as I usually do.

Wondered what everyone else's experiences were 😁 xxxx

professorastrocat · 31/03/2020 10:28

With my first I was very slim and people started saying they noticed at about 14/15 weeks which was just before I told most people anyway. It was still pretty subtle though. This time I already look like the side of a house (11 weeks today) as I had excess belly fat anyway so it's all just collecting with the water retention and bloat!

BooMamaBear · 31/03/2020 11:34

Cvs done my tummy hurts so much and I feel sick - my placenta is posterior! NT measurement is 1.3mm so totally normal and bean was wriggling all over the place!! I get the results early next week I'm really hoping this one is my rainbow and is ok! Xx

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 31/03/2020 11:38

@BooMamaBear so glad you got to see your wriggly bean - I have everything crossed for you for the results next week!

@Hhdxx I wasn’t my slimmest beforehand and definitely feel podgier, but the biggest giveaway is my boobs which are gigantic already. I need to buy some new bras online before we come out of lockdown!

How is everyone coping being stuck inside?

calimommy · 31/03/2020 15:30

@Hhdxx you won't get a proper bump until 20+ weeks tbh. As in one that people who don't know you will see it as say "oh you're expecting" or "when are you due?". Before that only you notice it tbh and it could also be mistaken for a large dinner haha. Its a balls tbh because I love the bump but once the bump gets big it's also hard work. Second trimester is my favourite because I'm not as sick and my energy comes back and I get a tidy bump. This will (hopefully) be my 4th baby, so I'll 'show' earlier but it's not really the uterus it's the muscles which have softened and stretched. My tummy pooches out atm but it's bloat and also not getting to the gym everyday like before 😭

Hhdxx · 31/03/2020 15:52

@BooMamaBear hope your tummy feels a little bit better and fingers crossed for your results 🤞🤞

@professorastrocat @Wise0wl @calimommy thanks for your feedback. I just wondered as this is our first. I'm quite slim and haven't lost a bit of weight so far due to not being able to eat all my dinners 😳 looking forward to getting a bump. Got she's to wait then haha xx

professorastrocat · 31/03/2020 16:31

Everything crossed @BooMamaBear !!
