@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

Well I just got back from my private early scan and everything is looking great. It was just me as DH stayed home with DD (obviously her weekend activity is cancelled so no one to have her) Clear view of the sac, yoke and baby with a lovely strong heartbeat. Sonographer said everything looks a really healthy size and shape. Feel so relieved!

@Talcott2007 lovely news, how many weeks are you? Always a relief to have a good scan.

Hhdxx · 21/03/2020 15:29

@Talcott2007 congratulations! I've just had my early scan too! I thought I was nearly 8 weeks but the lady thought I was 7 weeks 2 days. You can see the yolk sac on the left and the blob next to it is the baby Xxxx

Talcott2007 · 21/03/2020 15:33

Well my LMP has me at 7+2 but size wise currently measuring 6+5 - the sonographer said that was perfectly within range and often babies can 'catch up days' by the time of the 12w scan

Hhdxx · 21/03/2020 18:38

@Talcott2007 the same as me! She said it's difficult to be so accurate as it's so small. How big was yours? Mine was 1.1cm 😍😍 my LMP has me at 8 weeks 2 days so don't worry! Means I'm a whole week behind apparently? Xxx

Talcott2007 · 21/03/2020 19:43

CRL 8.0mm - GS 25.7mm - FHR 159bpm
Implanted nice and high on the left side so I should expect to feel more movement when the time comes on the right to start with (they couldn't quite tell yet if it is an anterior or posterior placement)

BooMamaBear · 22/03/2020 04:54

Sorry for the radio silence @showmethegin -if your still reading this I'm so sorry take care of yourself honey and I hope we'll see you soon!

I really hope this one is my rainbow!! If it's not I'm not sure I could go thru this again I just don't think my mind or body could take it If this one is poorly too! Xx

@BooMamaBear positive thoughts for you my dear x 🤞

professorastrocat · 22/03/2020 08:55

@BooMamaBear I was thinking of you yesterday and when your scan is. We've all got everything crossed ❤️

professorastrocat · 22/03/2020 15:13

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow - is there anything I may have forgotten for this ? Nothing I need to take?

Talcott2007 · 22/03/2020 19:50

From what I remember you don't need to specifically take anything to the booking in appointment. They ask a while load of questions about your medical and family history so my be worth jotting down a few notes of anything from for DP's side that you might not know of the top of your head or the name of any medication you take. You may want to take your appointment letter depending on where the appointment is - I have a booking in bloods next week at the hospital but have been told unless I bring my letter they won't let me in the building due to covid-19. My actual booking in appointment is not for AGES! 14th April I will be about 11w!

calimommy · 22/03/2020 19:58

@Talcott2007 they might just do your 12 week scan at that point, since it will be so close. 🤞

professorastrocat · 22/03/2020 20:26

Thanks @Talcott2007 just checking. I hope it goes ahead and I don't get turned away when I get there (I have checked already but you know). It's just with midwife at GP. The only thing I remember from my first child is them asking where I want the baby and saying I haven't a clue yet!

Talcott2007 · 22/03/2020 21:41

@calimommy - no such luck unfortunately I've have a seperate appointment through for my scan on 28th April - 13w (which is within the range for the nucal fold measurements to be taken)
To be honest my biggest concern is seeing a consultant before 12w - I will need a prescription for a blood thinning medication to start taking before then as I have a condition which causes increased miscarriage risk in 2nd trimester. I have spoken to the community midwife who is doing my booking in appointment who has assured me everything will be sorted in time but feeling slightly twitchy about it all!

calimommy · 22/03/2020 22:26

@Talcott2007 that's absolutely understandable. I'm sure everything will be fine for you (on repeat x100) 😜🤞

BooMamaBear · 23/03/2020 07:56

Thanks for your positive thought guys @professorastrocat -you will need to give a urine sample do if get there a bit early make sure you need a wee and you can ask for a sample bottle at reception then go to the loo!! Xx

BooMamaBear · 23/03/2020 08:00

@Talcott2007 -do they know you'll be 11 weeks coz unless your High risk (like me) you're supposed to be booked in between weeks 8-10 I think that could be so the hospital have your results before your scan though, which I suppose if your scan is 13 weeks you still have time! Xx
