@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

@Anon87 I keep telling myself there is nothing I can do apart from being healthy and happy.

@professorastrocat how many weeks are you? Xxxx

Anon87 · 15/03/2020 13:19

@Hhdxx Exactly!! Yesterday was the worst I've "suffered" and was also the most stressful day I've had. Lesson learnt. We all need to just take it day by day and actually listen to our bodies rather than CSI every niggle. Easier said than done obviously 😄

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 13:38

I'm definitely on a day by day coping strategy. But not coping particularly well today. Def have sickness back along with the cold so feeling double crappy. Actually being sick now too, likely because of the cold. I'm 8+5 @Hhdxx

Parents have just rearranged their holiday because of this virus to October aswell (around dd 😂) can't wait to tell them so they can worry about not being around then 🤦‍♀️

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 18:14

Has anyone taken paracetamol? I'm trying not to take anything but feeling so rubbish (sinus headache)

Hhdxx · 15/03/2020 18:36

@Anon87 definitely! I'm already in bed! How lazy!!!!
@professorastrocat I took paracetamol the other day as I had such a bad head ache
@sparkler07 how are you doing? I'm pretty sure you're 7 weeks like me xxc

BooMamaBear · 15/03/2020 20:03

I'm really hoping this sickness stops soon at least I don't feel as rough as yesterday!!i think you're ok to take just plain paracetamol but not lemsips coz they have other stuff in too! Xxx

Lola871 · 15/03/2020 20:21

Yes I did too, paracetamol is fine as long as it's not one with added codeine or caffeine. And you should take them for the shortest time possible.

BooMamaBear · 16/03/2020 07:20

Morning all how we all feeling? Xx

OP posts:
Talcott2007 · 16/03/2020 09:44

Been feeling really rough the last few days, just constant nausea and tiredness - whereas before eating something made me feel a little better, now it just makes me feel worse! I was on A/L last week so was able to be all weak and feeble and just lay around the house while DD was in nursery but now I'm back to work! I can barely keep my eyes open.

Very tempted to tell my Manager even though I'm only coming up to 7w Particularity as they are doing a big health survey questionnaire via HR to identify any high risk individuals Re COVID-19 in the organisation. (I work in Q&C for a large charity so personally office based for 99% of my work but the organisation itself works with a very diverse range of people so the public areas of the buildings are very public IYSWIM)

I mean I know that they don't currently think that being pregnant increases risk factors or anything but I don't know the combination of feel so weak with everything else I just want someone to know.

Has anyone else already told work?

Anon87 · 16/03/2020 10:58

Quick question: Pinky CM, 6 weeks today. No actual blood. Sure I've seen it's fine and even sex can trigger that?

Talcott2007 · 16/03/2020 11:34

Hi @Anon87 - can be totally normal i wouldn't worry at the moment, I would have thought still early enough to be implantation 'bleeding' - i sure I read that it could happen any time up to around 8 weeks. I also have friends who properly bled on an off through their whole pregnancies and have all have happy healthy babies.

professorastrocat · 16/03/2020 11:51

I so feel for you @Talcott2007 hope you're getting looked after and surviving at work!

BooMamaBear · 16/03/2020 12:37

Im9 week and 4 days today has anyone else had light brown cm? I always have a bit more cm when I'm pregnant but I've just been to the loo and there's none when I wipe but there was some light brown cm in my pants not dark like a period and only a bit but should I be worried? Xx

OP posts:
Lola871 · 16/03/2020 13:41

I've heard that spotting is completely normal on these forums so hopefully not a problem!

Hhdxx · 16/03/2020 15:29

@BooMamaBear I had it week 5 and it stopped. My cousin is a midwife and said it is normal and quite common. Just to be on the safe side though, check with your doctors. Xxxx

BooMamaBear · 16/03/2020 15:46

Ta @Hhdxx -I don't seem to have had any more since so far but yes I'll call them if I get any more!! Xx

Hhdxx · 16/03/2020 17:14

Have you seen the news? Pregnant people to be particularly careful

@BooMamaBear fingers crossed it's stopped xx

Needallthesleep · 16/03/2020 17:20

Guys, 4 months of social isolation for pregnant women!!! Ahhhhh!

professorastrocat · 16/03/2020 17:40

I took it as being particularly careful to follow the recommendations, is it really to isolate for 4 months??

Hhdxx · 16/03/2020 17:49

I have no idea. I've rang 111 and they've said to ring back in a few hours as their advice is changing xxx

Needallthesleep · 16/03/2020 19:06

I think it’s to avoid social contact for 4 months. But I don’t think that advice is based on evidence at all.

Hhdxx · 16/03/2020 19:50

I work in a school what am I suppose to do??

Lola871 · 16/03/2020 22:05

My understanding is that it isn't based on evidence but because there is so little evidence at the moment they are being overly cautious. Pregnant women are strongly advised to practice social distancing for a period of 12 weeks starting this weekend. Your work should support you on this in terms of working from home where possible. The gov.uk website has the full guidance on it which is useful to read.

Hhdxx · 16/03/2020 22:17

I'm not going into work tomorrow. I've spoken to my boss. My boss basically said to wait till there's more advice. What's everyone else doing?

Wise0wl · 16/03/2020 22:27

My whole company is WFH, but I found this table on the gov.uk website useful.

If I can help it I don’t want to tell work before 12 weeks or so, and given I’m only 5 + 2 I’ve got a long way to go!

Hope you’re all doing ok. Hang in there!
