@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

Hey everyone! Feeling grot today as have a bad cold now too. Weirdly can't tell if my sickness may be a lot less as feel crap with the cold. Is it normal if the sickness has lessened? Feeling a bit nervous about the fact that there's no way of checking everything's ok until whenever we get the scan- it's such a long wait.

How's everyone doing with all this virus stuff? Anyone working from home yet? There's so many people who just can't work from home!

showmethegin · 13/03/2020 18:18

@professorastrocat Me too! I've got a horrendous cold. Can't breathe through my nose so had about 3 hours sleep last night. Aching all over and have just started feeling really sick too, feeling very sorry for myself and just had a little cry, possibly hormones!!

Anon87 · 13/03/2020 18:41

@professorastrocat Not a chance of working from home for me. Retail management and retail just doesn't stop. Cash is the dirtiest thing in there so we've got a few hand sanitizers around and are encouraging customers to have a squirt too. Every little helps and all that.

Anon87 · 13/03/2020 18:42

@showmethegin Hope you're feeling better soon x

Lola871 · 13/03/2020 19:40

@professorastrocat I can work from home for one of my jobs but not the other which is in a hospital so no chance of it there!

@showmethegin if you're aching all over you might have a temp so make sure you take paracetamol to keep it down if that's the case! Hope you feel better soon.

Anon87 · 14/03/2020 07:14

I love how there's barely any activity on here after 8pm because we're all wiped out and ready for bed 😂

Bumblebee413 · 14/03/2020 07:52

Hi everyone,

Hope it's ok to join- I saw some familiar names and got excited! I am VERY surprised to be here, and admittedly quite behind most of you at 4+2- I hope that's ok? I'm mainly surprised because we decided to TTC for a week in January, then realised that we had crazy amounts going on and although it was our 'plan', maybe we needed to be kind to ourselves and just wait a few months as my DH is 2 weeks into a new job, we're both doing uni courses whilst working full time and we move house and town on Wednesday.

So, after the bfn in February, we stopped. Only it doesn't appear to have been the most effective stopping, to my absolute shock. I'm so puzzled and I can't quite work out how or when this happened. The usual way I suspect...! On the plus side, not trying eliminated the stress and now it's more like... oh, ok, well actually ignoring the house move, this is pretty good timing.

I think my dates are right? I have sore boobs and occasional bouts of.... pure rage Blush so I am a very pleasant person at present. Either way.... hi everyone!!

X

BooMamaBear · 14/03/2020 08:13

Welcome @Bumblebee413 and congratulations!
At 8pm my nausea is usually a bit better I'm normally eating my dinner at this time due to finally feeling hungry then I go off to bed!! Xxx

Congrats @Bumblebee413 !! Exciting times. We'd had a conversation about being a bit less stressy about ttc but then had conceived so didn't need to worry about a change of approach!

Wise0wl · 14/03/2020 10:29

Hello and congratulations @Bumblebee413!! I’m a bit behind the others two, at 5 weeks - also switched off a bit after Feb and focused on other things so it was a bit of a surprise for me too!

Lola871 · 14/03/2020 16:27

Congrats @Bumblebee413!

I was actually asleep in an armchair at 8pm last night @Anon87 🤣

Also had my first real bout of nausea last night, we were out eating dinner and it just hit me mid meal and I couldn't eat anymore, which was a real shame because it was delicious! OH happily cleared it up, he might put more weight on than me at this rate!! Only 4+5 so dreading how much it could kick in over the next couple of weeks! Hoping it's more related to the fact that I've been ill this week than the pregnancy.

Also has any one else noticed so many people mention pregnancy or babies? And obviously you can't say anything! I never noticed it before.

Anon87 · 14/03/2020 19:51

Horrible day today. Been silently anxious about less symptoms and cramps to be smacked with and overflow of all emotions and horrible awkward pain to my hip which decided to move to my back. Cried making next month's rota and even more when staff ask me if I'm ok.
Eased off now I'm home, stress free, just tugs right at the front where old C-scar is.
I'm a mess 😂

BooMamaBear · 14/03/2020 20:42

I feel so sick feel like I can't move or even sit up I need this to stop at 19 weeks as it has done before that will be Thursday great if it stops before! Happy that I'm Pregnant I just hope this baby is healthy so it's worth it! This is my 4th first trimester and so far the best one was the only one where I had a healthy baby I had no nausea I'm hoping this is not a bad sign!! Xx

BooMamaBear · 14/03/2020 20:53

How's everyone else? Xx

Bumblebee413 · 14/03/2020 22:34

Fingers crossed @BooMamaBear, that level of nausea sounds so tough. Obvious also for all of your tests too. Hopefully the nausea isn't a reflection on the baby x

I'm away with my family for the week for my Mum's 60th and it feels very surreal trying to get my head round the fact that I'm pregnant and nobody knows. But then I just start feeling like such a fraud- 4+3 is so super early. The websites keep telling me that most people don't even know they're pregnant yet. I'm also kind of trying to hold back a little because I do know that miscarriages are a possibility too. This is such a strange new world we've found ourselves in!

Hhdxx · 15/03/2020 08:01

Good morning. I'm feeling quite sick this morning. Just over 7 weeks. For some reason I've gone crampy. Did anyone else get this at 7weeks? Also I put a message about ewcm the other day. I had this again. Anyone else had it? Xxxx

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 08:02

Sounded a tough day yesterday @Anon87 hope a good nights kip helped. How far are you ?

@Bumblebee413 did you mean by 10 weeks? I hope it lets up soon for you, it's horrible isn't it. I've felt a little less sick this week but unsure whether it's just mixed in with feeling rubbish with this cold but of course I've worried about it!

I don't think any of us should worry that symptoms or no symptoms means anything. 💪 All pregnancies are different. It's hard when you've lots of people online to compare your experience to. Much easier said than done of course, and I can't talk really.

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 08:08

Sorry I meant @BooMamaBear for the second bit of my post below....

@Bumblebee413 you're not a fraud! It's early days but pregnant is pregnant and you should be kind to yourself. It is weird with everyone else not knowing though, like it's some dirty secret when really it's at this time we need as much support as ever. And the hormones don't help!!

@Hhdxx not sure about ewcm... I have lots of cm it's varies from sticky clumpy to just wet to quite white. But not like ovulation cm if that's what you mean? It's still probably normal though!

Hhdxx · 15/03/2020 08:18

@professorastrocat it varies. It comes out in lumps, only had a few and they're yellowy clear coloured. So weird and yes like ovulation because that's what I can get sometimes. So worried still. Got an early scan next week at 8 weeks but some one said they'd advise getting one later because miscarriage is still high at 8 weeks. Is this true? Xx

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 08:34

@Hhdxx well in that case it's similar to what I've had. I think do what feels right for you personally, if a scan at 8 weeks would be reassuring for you, just do it!

Hhdxx · 15/03/2020 09:12

@professorastrocat I just don't believe it till I see it as it's taken us 16 months. Xxx

Anon87 · 15/03/2020 10:25

@professorastrocat Only 6 weeks tomorrow. I was hoping my emotions would make the horrible one who won't accept a refund rather than a blubbering mess at the back because someone said my hair looked decent 😂

@Hhdxx I don't think the risk is HIGH, a page was posted somewhere on here that gives straight or reassurance about where you're at and miscarriage. Mine the other day said "when you wake up tomorrow your chances of miscarriage will have dropped from 21.5% to 17%. I liked that.

BooMamaBear · 15/03/2020 10:48

@professorastrocat -I did mean 10 week not 19 I assume you were asking me? Xx

professorastrocat · 15/03/2020 11:30

@Anon87 amazing what's setting me off at the moment, too!! So many adverts... 😬

@BooMamaBear I did mean you yes 🤦‍♀️ I had to clarify...slip of the finger (or brain). Shame you can't edit these posts.
