@professorastrocat - I said I'd set up a graduates group I'm tentatively on here though coz if the test at 11 is bad news I'll be back on a bus! Everything so far seems ok as the test this morning says 3 + weeks got the midwife appt tomorrow xx

Weird question... I've got ewcm. Has anyone else had this when pregnant? I'm 6 and half weeks x

BooMamaBear · 11/03/2020 14:42

I get nausea from 3pm onwards it was in the morning for 2 hours until week 6 then switched to this! Today I dropped my DD of at pre-school and went back to bed!! My boobs are so sore!! Xx

Hello all! I was on Feb bus with you and totally shocked just got a BFP (after switching off a bit from TTC/MN in March, and forgetting my CD because work has been so busy...)

It's lovely to be back in contact with ex-Feb bus people - I know I'm late to the party but can I join? Your advice so far has been really helpful, I've done the self-referral form for my first appointment online as a result!

How are you all doing?

BooMamaBear · 11/03/2020 19:36

Of course you can join @Wise0wl -congratulations and welcome -how far along are you now? Xx

Eee how exciting @Wise0wl !! Lovely to have you here and congratulations! Getting lots of bfps around here now ❤️

Wise0wl · 11/03/2020 19:54

Hello @BooMamaBear and @professorastrocat 🥳

I think based on my calculations 4.5 weeks? So totally unexpected. I keep looking at my test!

I’m glad to see the POAS addiction hasn’t stopped here, I’m going to use by CB digital in the morning as that may give me an indication of dates!

How far along are you both now?

Anon87 · 11/03/2020 19:57

Congrats @Wise0wl Lovely to see names I recognise. Welcome to the party 🎉

Anon87 · 11/03/2020 20:58

Anyone feel like they're just living a bit of a lie?

I'm pregnant, I know that, there's enough double lines that tell me I am. I obviously don't expect a bump at 5 weeks, I'm super sleepy and can get a bit sickly if I don't eat and drink enough. Thankful I'm not suffering but it's just a bit of a weird feeling isn't it?

The secrecy, the nothing to show for 3 months blah de blah.

Wise0wl · 11/03/2020 21:08

Hello again @Anon87 and thank you!

I keep forgetting and reminding myself. Can I ask you ladies how you avoid drinking in social situations? DH took delivery of 18 bottles of wine today (!!!) and I’ve got loads of birthdays and a wedding coming up before 3 months!

BooMamaBear · 11/03/2020 21:31

I am 9 weeks tomorrow @Wise0wl -I usually get a sparkling water with ice and lemon so it looks like a G&T or becks blue is a good one it looks like real lager and OJ who knows if it's got vodka in it!
I am having more CM but it's not EW?!

Good tips @BooMamaBear !

I have a lot of CM it was EW a few days ago but now I just feel a bit.. damp?! I now keep checking every few hours to see AF isn’t here even though I’ve got a positive test!!

BooMamaBear · 11/03/2020 22:18

@Wise0wl -I still check everytime I go to the loo to make sure it's not brown or red!! Is this you're first @Wise0wl? Xx

Morning ladies! I took another test today, still positive! Much stronger line than Monday morning. Can I just ask when did you all call your GP/midwife? I'm thinking of doing it today (4+2) because I have a week off coming up in a couple of weeks and thinking if I end up with my appointment then it will be ideal! How does it work? Is it always at a certain time? Sorry for all the questions, I'm completely clueless on this!

Also is anyone having an early scan? We're thinking about having one at 9 weeks, just because we have a weekend away at 10 weeks with family and won't be able to hide not drinking over a weekend. But would want to make sure things are ok before telling them.

professorastrocat · 12/03/2020 08:38

Hi @Lola871 good news! I rang the GP at 4 weeks to get myself booked in. They told me they don't do first appointments until between 9 and 11 weeks. I have mine when I'm 9+6 (I'm 8+2 today) so it's been a long wait. It's different everywhere - some places you go direct online and book through the maternity system rather than the GP. I'm hoping I get my scan quickly after my appointment.

We're letting family know at 10 weeks too, though we won't be having any early scans. I understand why you'd want to for reassurance.

Wise0wl · 12/03/2020 08:50

Yep @BooMamaBear my first - and I get quite a lot of spotting (was having that explored before I found out I was PG) and still have a tiny bit - but brown (not red).

I self referred in London to a midwife, do I need to call my GP too?

Lola871 · 12/03/2020 09:02

Thanks @professorastrocat, useful to know! I'm definitely worried about telling people, and then having to tell them if something goes wrong, I'm naturally quite private and wouldn't want them to know, particularly as it's my in-laws. Definitely something to think about.

Needallthesleep · 12/03/2020 10:58

Hi all, how are you feeling? Assuming everyone is in the same place where the wait for the 12 week scan is dragging!! Anyone on forced working from home yet?

@Lola871 I had an early scan at 7 weeks which was lovely. Except it made me bleed loads which obviously panicked me and I ended up in a&e! I’m sure my situation was a one off though!

Question to the group: if I only eat salt and vinegar crisps until my morning sickness ends in a couple of weeks, is that disastrous for the baby? I can’t keep down vitamins and feel sick the whole time.

Talcott2007 · 12/03/2020 11:46

Morning sickness has been all day sickness yeaterday and so far today - I'm constantly nibbling digestive biscuits and crackers which is keeping it manageable. I think it's a case of whatever gets you through it @needallthesleep! 6+1 today and symptoms have definetly ramped up again. I have a private early scan book in for when I should be 8+3.
In my area you self refer direct to Maternity services - I had a rant last week out their systems. I eventually called up directly and they confirmed that I was in the system but couldn't explain what I hadn't had that confirmation autoemail thingy that it had worked. All they said was that my appointment would come through in due course.... still waiting on that which is sending me a bit crazy!

BooMamaBear · 12/03/2020 16:22

I'm 9 weeks today the placenta doesn't form til around 10 weeks so I think the food sac feeds the baby til then so I don't think the crisps will affect baby too much not too sure tho! I'm not managing to eat much fruit or veg coz I can only eat small amounts of food so often I only manage to have a jacket spud and cheese for dinner or something and I try and have higher calorie food for breakfast so don't feel faint been having croissants and jam! Xx

Found myself peeing on an opk stick today. Two lines appeared. I didn't feel better for it 🤷🏻‍♀️ Don't know what I was searching for lol just feel a bit lost without heavy symptoms and no appointment for 5 week

Lola871 · 12/03/2020 20:35

@Anon87 it's a weird bit to be at isn't it. I'm getting period like cramps which I've read is normal - they're fairly mild and infrequent. Midwife is ringing me back tomorrow with an appointment for around 7 weeks which isn't too long to wait at least!

One of my best friends is pregnant and she was saying today how she doesn't have any pregnant friends, so hard not to tell her!

Anon87 · 12/03/2020 20:45

@Lola871 See she'll be made up when you tell her! How big is the gap between bumps going to be?

I just feel really strange, the odd twinge when I start to relax on a night but in the day just constant sore boobs and a little sicky if I don't snack in time.

First app at docs the midwife didn't even test me, I just told her I was pregnant. I could have dental and prescriptions free from fibbing 😆

I'll be 10+4 when I have my next app at hospital. Proper limbo part.

Hhdxx · 12/03/2020 20:48

@Lola871 I had period like cramps up to two days ago. I'm nearly 7 weeks pregnant. Hopefully that makes you feel better xxx

@Anon87 I did this too 😂😂😂 I had two lines and still all ok xxxx

Lola871 · 12/03/2020 20:54

@Hhdxx it does thank you! It's just weird having symptoms that you have always associated with AF, feels so similar!

@Anon87 it'll be 3 months difference so will be a great overlap of mat leave!

Sorry for posting so much guys, it's hard to keep it all in when we can't tell anyone yet! Really appreciate all you ladies answering my questions. Thank you!

BooMamaBear · 12/03/2020 21:03

@Lola871 -we're all heat to listen don't worry about posting!!
I had cramps early on but now at 9 weeks my boobs are really sore and nausea is bad! My boobs weren't too sore just a bit tender until about week 8!!
The midwife was telling me they never test to check you're actually pregnant!
2.5 weeks til my next scan i would be excited except for that fact I've got CVS at the same tine! I always feel rubbish afterwards and not just because I'm nervous for results!! Xx
