Happy due date to me! I really hope today is the day.

It should be my gran's 90th birthday today but unfortunately she passed 18 years ago.
I'd love to give my mum a reason to smile again today.

I had my sweep at 9:30am. Not the most comfortable minute of my life, but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. Been having more frequent abdominal and lower back cramping since, and have been doing lots of slow walking around the house as well as venturing out for lunch with my mum. I hope this is the start of it!

Any more updates for those waiting?

I am getting a sweep tomorrow (41+4) but hoping I don't give birth until the Saturday so baby can have same birthday as FIL.
That's if the sweep works ... At this point it feels like the baby is going to be dragged out.

I think I am definitely in early labour @SidSparrow - am getting waves of discomfort & didn’t sleep particularly well as I had to get up a couple of times to pace up and down. Good chunks of sleep in between though. Going to have a restful day (although the kitchen floor needs to be steam mopped...)

How are you getting on @Engard?

Back in for a review scan, false labour last night so feeling even more disheartened! Will he ever come out??

Suddenly gone from contractions once an hour to once every 15 minutes. I really hope this is it!

Congratulations to those who have had their babies.
I've two sweeps now in the last three days and nothing. I'm having niggles and my stomach and back are hurting then they fade away!! I've got another booked for tomorrow so I'm keeping everything crossed apart from y legs

I will just give any tips about going into labour that I really feel worked for me - not eating much food and just small portions as it slows body down - digestion etc I normally eat loads! Being in dark as much as possible - naturally helps encourage labour, mentally wanting it to happen - relaxing not being scared as mental state so important really effects body physically, resting but also keeping active walking around swaying hips etc, good luck ladies :)

Contractions started at 1pm, had a bath, then hospital, baby arrived just after 8pm. Fairly quick and straightforward. Home now waiting on pizza whilst baby feeds. All in all, not bad at all!

Thanks for the tips @bonnie87 - that sounds about all what I did. The bath snd candles speeded things up alright!

@OccasionalNachos not great! Still no baby. Have been diagnosed with interuterine growth restriction for the 2nd time! Baby stopped growing 4 weeks ago 🥺
I'm having sweeps every 48 hours and being induced on Wednesday.

@Engard Oh no, don't worry, Wednesday will be here soon enough. Hopefully it won't go until then and a sweep will do the trick. Best wishes to you X

Baby boy arrived at 9am it’s been a long 36 hours though, barely slept on Wednesday night so I have been on the go for a long time. We’re both doing well though.

Ahh congratulations @OccasionalNachos!! I started having very strong period type pains overnight, so fingers crossed can I be next?!

38+4 here and absolutely longing for my little one to arrive now 😫 feeling so so fed up!

My beautiful girl arrived at 5pm. Lovely labour only ok n full labour for 2 hours and pushed twice . So in love. Good luck everyone
