My favourite midwife is on call, so if baby could just pick tonight to be the night that would be great Grin

Anybody else in the later stages of pregnancy and ready to give birth now?!

I've had such bad diahorrea today and am crying at everything. Proper sobbing at sully things. I think it's bwvauae I'm so fed up ha! Good luck everyone x

shutupsteph · 25/01/2020 14:22

I don't want to jinx anything so I'm not saying the words but I woke up with somewhat regular pains in my back and front of bump that were coming every 6ish minutes for just over 1 minute, then they slowed down completely, now I'm lying in bed and they're coming very frequently, mostly in my back which is odd as I feel like I can still feel baby's bum at the front of my bump? The pains are perfectly manageable but coming every few minutes now I'm in bed 🤷🏼‍♀️ lets hope this turns into the real thing (that I still won't say just in case!)

Fingers crossed for those of you who sound like it might be imminent! I have been crying all day today because DH is off on a jolly and I just don't have the energy for looking after DS1. Please let this baby come soon!

Wishing good progress for everyone waiting. I sympathise Frederick 😔 Finding it so hard to run after 20 month old ds1 in this state! Feels like I’ve been pregnant forever

Any updates?

Been in early labour for 37 hours now. It ramped up massively earlier, contractions every 2 minutes lasting about a minute long so headed to hospital. Baby is a little bit back to back so not making much progress and we're not happy with movements, however I am 3cm dilated (at a push) and my cervix is suuuuuuuper thin so if no more progress my waters will be broken in the morning. Very tired but feeling really positive. Hope everyone else is close to meeting their babies!

emma8t4 · 26/01/2020 23:01

I’m being induced tomorrow at 41+5 I’m already 3cm (2nd baby) so fingers crossed for a straightforward and speedy arrival.

Good luck

tisonlymeagain · 26/01/2020 23:34

I started to be induced on Friday, still here on the ward as labour ward is full so I can't have waters broken. Thinking about just going home now as I'm exhausted.

LucaFritz · 27/01/2020 03:16

Hang in there @tisonlymeagain the exhaustion is unexplainable isn't it 😪 have they offered you anything so you can sleep ? By the time my waters were gone they gave me the epidural so i could sleep and it was heaven

loubieloo4 · 27/01/2020 04:33

Sex with lots of nipple stimulation! Or a pump 😂

FrederickSinclair · 27/01/2020 08:08

Good luck Steph! Luca is your lovely baby here?!

I have lost my plug this weekend. Last time I went into labour a few days later so here's hoping... Still having a lot of period type pains but not sure if that is just baby's head moving around as he's very low now

40+4 today, and I'm just so, so tired... I was supposed to go to the cinema in an effort to get out of the house, but I've just not managed it. A few very mild period type cramps, but nothing more than that... Fingers crossed for all of you who are progressing faster!

LucaFritz · 28/01/2020 02:53

Yes he's here he arrived on Friday at 4pm Grin he is only 7lbs so absolutely tiny! Im currently sat having skin to skin snuggles to try encourage him to feed but he just wants sleep and kisses 💞 never knew i could love someone so much i don't even miss my sleep 😂

shutupsteph · 28/01/2020 03:56

My baby boy was born at bang on midnight, a teeny 7lbs 11 and I'm absolutely smitten. Currently sat on the post natal ward staring at him wondering what on earth I do with him!!

shutupsteph · 28/01/2020 03:56

Congrats Luca!

LucaFritz · 28/01/2020 04:46

That was me on Saturday as soon as they got me onto post natal i was just sat there wondering what to do not that i could do much as the epidural was still wearing off so i wasn't myself for hours after. DS was 7lbs 3oz so 7lbs 11 seems huge to me Shock He's currently snoozing on my chest because he hates his pram and cot and won't settle unless he's held im hoping he grows out of it in a week or two because im surviving on about 3hrs sleep a night if that 😬

FrederickSinclair · 28/01/2020 05:37

Congratulations both! Enjoy those snuggles, I can't wait to be in the same boat. My boy is predicted to be 7lb ish which seems huge to me as my last baby was 6! Grin

So jealous of all these babies being born congrats everyone. I'm still waiting for so much as a sign little one wants to move :(.

Feel like im going to be pregnant forever :(

LucaFritz · 28/01/2020 06:55

I recommend the epidural for those of you still waiting it was heaven i wouldn't have made it through Labour otherwise and im a huge needlephobe

FrederickSinclair · 28/01/2020 08:11

Same here VDM! Midwife is coming round this morning, hoping she has some promising insight...

I know Im late to the party but I'm due next week. Going in this morning for induction though as I need to come off meds before I deliver so better to do it in a controlled way. Very nervous as I've heard scary things about induction! Congrats to all those who have had their babies 😍

FrederickSinclair · 28/01/2020 08:17

Hope it goes okay for you Blake!

BlakeLifelesss · 28/01/2020 08:19

Thanks, I've already got 3 so I'm hoping my body will know what it's doing and take over once it gets a kick start! On way to hosp now 😬

VDM1420 · 28/01/2020 10:16

@FrederickSinclair I'm at midwife tomorrow but last week she seemed pretty certain that they wouldnt do anything until 40+12. I'm really struggling now never mind in another 2 weeks :/

S082018 · 28/01/2020 10:21

Congratulations to all those who have had their babies ❤️😍

I'm exactly 38 weeks today and desperately hoping baby makes an appearance this week. Stretch and sweep booked in exactly a weeks time!

BlakeLifelesss · 28/01/2020 11:23

I've been monitored for ages and just had pessary put in, bouncing on birth ball feeling a bit silly 😂
