5 weeks Pregnant

Hi all,

I am only 5 weeks pregnant (due 24th of July) with baby number 2! All went well last pregnancy (appart from horrific morning sickness from 6 - 23 weeks)

I have seen a few old threads with Ladies asking this question but would be nice to have some reassurance from other Mums to be on how terrifying the wait to 12 weeks is!

I'm so scared something goes wrong every time I go to the loo I'm checking for blood and any pains in my abdomen i feel I'm convinced something bad is happening 😭 x

Yes I know what you mean, I need to chill out. I think I'm in that mindset that I need to worry about something. I've got my booking in appt on Friday morning and then back to back Christmas things lined up. So hopefully will take my mind off it.

The nausea is horrendous though. Constantly feel 🤢

I’m almost certain I’m out now. I had a bleed this morning - red this time and feel terribly weak and just ‘not right’ now. Lots of cramps in lower back and lower abdomen. Boobs not sore at all today when they’ve been agony.

Phoned the EPU and they said just rest today and monitor it and go for scan as booked tomorrow. So I’m just lying here ignoring the mess my house is in and the million wedding things that still need doing and just generally dreading tomorrow. I don’t know how the fuck I’m going to get past this enough to stick a smile on my face and attempt to enjoy my wedding day, the timing is just so fucking cruel.

Sorry guys, I guess we’ll know for sure tomorrow but I feel I already know.

Well call me a drama llama! Just home from scan which was at 9, measuring about 7 weeks 3 days from what they could see and they could see a heartbeat.

No idea what the bleeding was about, it’s stopped again now thank god.

I was so convinced it was all over!

I had my scan today also so I am measuring 7 weeks. Good little heartbeat and also no reason for the spotting I was having. I cried when she pointed out the baby and the yolk sac haha. I was also convinced I was out! Now just 5 weeks to go before the dating scan.... this is going to feel like a lifetime!

I also cried - she was silent for what seemed like AGES and then said ‘well we can see some development and we can see a heartbeat’ and I just burst into tears. They showed us the screen but I can’t say I took much in really,, felt a bit like Rachel in friends ‘I don’t see it!’ I keep looking at the picture like ‘hmmm no idea what I’m really looking at here but apparently this is how it’s supposed to look so that is good enough for me’.

Tell you what though, I’m shattered! Awake since 4, hopefully will sleep a bit better tonight.

Did they offer you a pic? Was it the EPU? I'm going on Fri. Had my booking appt today and said I'd had loads of cramping without bleeding and she's referred me. She was naughty because she said they don't see you without bleeding but told them I'd had some so they'd see me, I feel uncomfortable about it but I'm also excited to hopefully see a heartbeat 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 are you as far along as expected? @AliasGrape

Yes - well I’m 8 weeks according to LMP but I knew that wasn’t right, if basing it on when I ovulated (I was tracking) I have it as 7 weeks 4 days and they measured it as 7+3 so there or thereabouts. The sac only measured 4-5 2 weeks ago so I was really pleased there’s been good growth.

It's so scary isn't it, I was sure there was nothing there at first! She was speaking about the heartbeat but I was a bit confused but my partner was raving about it after so he must have seen it no problem haha. Just so small! I'm measuring 10.2mm.

Yes we got pictures to take away. Just makes it so real! Sending lots of luck your scan goes well on Friday! Mine was at epu as id had spotting and bleeding 2 weeks previous, I'm a week behind

It's weird, even tho I'm anxious, esp after having a mc earlier this year, I feel much calmer after seeing the midwife, not because she assured me particularly but because I think it all feels more real. I've not spoken out loud about being preg to anyone (only DH) so I guess today made it feel like I'd not dreamt it all up. Here's hoping I've not jinxed myself for Friday now 🙈

My nausea has eased up a bit today so naturally I've been worried sick

Hi everyone I'm so ill been up since 6am being sick shivering and sweating.

Just back from the dr got cyclizine.

OH is useless won't take any time off work to help with our 2 year old and I'm struggling to even get out of bed.

My mum is at hospital with my Papa who had a stroke last night and Mother in law is too busy so it's just impossible for me.

Those cyclizine antisickness are working a treat I feel like a new woman today I think I'm actually gonna make my works xmas party tonight!

Having pains either side where my hips are and a shooting pain up my vag. (Sorry if tmi) sp now I'm freaking.

No blood so probs just bleeding the loo!

At least I hope so!

Hi ladies.
I had a HCg blood test done 4 days which was on 2400. I was 5+1 at time and I still haven’t done the second one. My doctor told me that number is very low. She almost didn’t want to give another blood test. I had a scan the same day, because I was bleeding and they saw both the pregnancy and yolk sac. I know that I need the other blood test to compare, but I am not sure why she says it’s low. Any help?
