Pregnant Women's Moan Thread

Thought I'd start a thread to unload all of our general moans, be they rational or totally and utterly irrational Grin

I'll go first.

30 weeks now and more than ready for the next 10 weeks to be over. Suffering with PGP which means that if I move around too much I'm fucked, and interestingly, if I don't move around enough I'm equally fucked. For added irony, the line between the 2 is very slim Hmm

My iron is borderline and I'm also exhausted after being at home all week with 3dcs who were on half term, so have a pile of work to catch up on (I'm freelance and normally work while they're at school). Oh and we have been renovating for the last few weeks, and thankfully have finished now but the house is a shit tip because of it and it's stressing me out because I can't launch into the cleaning too hard with the PGP.

Icing on the cake is that for the last few days, whatever position the baby is in, every movement feels like I'm being bloody jabbed sharply in the ribs/side by an MMA fighter. And don't even start me on the fanny daggers Hmm

Phew! Feel a bit lighter now Grin Come and sympathise/commiserate/share your woes with me!

Haven't really been keeping up with the thread so this might have already come up but is anyone struggling to get to sleep (3rd trimester)?

I'm 29+5 and I'm used to waking up in the right due to heartburn or needing to pee but tonight I just cannot get to sleep in the first place! I've been in bed since 9pm, my husband and the dog are already well asleep & snoring!

I've tried everything, I'm really hot so I have a fan just on me, I've taken Rennies for the heartburn & had a pee I've even turned on my nightstorms playlist on Spotify which normally helps me drift off.

I don't even think it's that I'm uncomfortable due to the bump because my brain just won't switch off!

Any tips?

SleepingStandingUp · 17/11/2019 23:05

Can you read til your eyes get tired?
Ful lsympathy, between bladder, 4 yo and bump as a minimum I got about 3 hours last night.

Twiglets are currnetly trying to kick their way out via my upper right ribcage

MummyBear405 · 17/11/2019 23:13

@SleepingStandingUp I hope so! This thread is actually coming in handy for that Smile

Oh bless you! I'm struggling enough with one baby inside and a dog to contend with, can't imagine doing it with twins and a toddler!

Sending you sleep inducing vibes xx

Taibhse · 19/11/2019 15:44

I think I've hit the pregnancy wall 🙈 A combination of back pain, not being able to go for walks/exercise, poor sleep and ridiculously ott emotions have me in a terrible mood the last few days.

I've finished up work a bit early (am SE so won't get paid but at least I don't have work hanging over me) so I should be happy but am also doing a course and I'm behind in my work for that and don't have the energy to catch up Hmm

First world problems I know but would just like to scream from the rooftops I HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!

Hope everyone else is doing/sleeping/peeing better Grin

@Taibhse - no shame in throwing in the towel! You have to do whatever is best for you.
Watch some Netflix and have a few naps! Take care of yourself

tinatsarina · 20/11/2019 18:50

I'm 26 weeks now and my pelvic pain was quite bad today I feel like going on maternity already. Just to tired for work but the longer I go the longer I have when baby finally arrives

Blondefancy · 20/11/2019 18:56

Pregnant for the second time and in both pregnancies I have put on over 4 stone..so feel like a whale by the end!! I’m a highly active person and work as a PT so like to pride myself on my fitness and healthy eating - however when pregnant this just goes out of the window and I embody this round creature who eats the house out every day - it’s a nightmare!! I lost all the weight within 4 months so I’m not too anxious just fed up with resembling a ball! I’m 38 weeks atm! Grin

fancytiles · 20/11/2019 22:39

I have also had enough!!!
36 weeks with a breech baby I am desperately trying to turn!

LHMB · 21/11/2019 11:00

22:39fancytiles I'm also 36 weeks with breech

SleepingStandingUp · 21/11/2019 16:13

Well it seems my pelvis hurts cos there's just shy of 10ln of baby sitting very low on it! I think that statement summarises all my complaints 😂😂

Chlosavxox · 21/11/2019 16:15

I'm in the first trimester and my brother + dad tried telling me yesterday that I'm lazy.. because I said I was extremely tired. Oh and apparently I'm lying about having sore boobs too. Because all of these things don't happen in the first trimester because it's too early on .. coming from two grown men .. who don't have uteruses. Hmm

fancytiles · 21/11/2019 20:03

@LHMB no way! Are you trying to turn your little one? I've been doing moxibustion but it really smells!! I'm in two minds about an ECV to be honest. I would rather not have a c section but if it comes to that then whatever the safest way out is best of course

fonxey · 22/11/2019 03:04

37 weeks and walking up after 2 hours with heartburn and feeling ill.

Suck of feeling like crap. Only been occurring I've the last 2 days. I think prob the fault of eating too late which we can't really help due to work hours.

Jowd92 · 22/11/2019 06:43

I'm nearly 35 weeks with 4th pregnancy first time.suffering with spd and my god I have never felt pain like it I've had it since 16 weeks but now it is just unreal been up most the night because i just cant get comfortable walking just hurts the stairs feel like a mountain I'm so ready to give up right now cant wait until I see my consultant in 2 weeks time and get my induction date booked little man is also fully engaged plus all of this is no fun when you have a very active and i mean very active 15 month old who doesn't sit still for more then 2 mins and is currently into anything and everything, wow I needed that moan lol!

Taibhse · 22/11/2019 10:17

jowd I feel your pain Flowers I'm in a similar situation here. 4th pregnancy and have had very mild SPD towards the end of other pregnancies but my god the pain I've been in for the last 3 months with this one is unreal Sad I was on crutches and going up and down the stairs on my hands and knees til last week but thankfully, I've had 2 acupuncture sessions and am now a bit more mobile. It's expensive though and don't think I can afford to do it weekly for the next 6-7 weeks. Hope you get your date booked soon, at least the end will definitely be in sight for you then.

Hope you ladies with the breech babies manage to turn them. I remember some convoluted spinning babies position where I hung off a couch backwards helped to turn dd2. Will you opt for ecv rather than cs?

LHMB · 22/11/2019 12:06

fancytiles I just had my 36 week growth scan, I'm very worried as they say baby is very on the small side, not quite 5IBs and they want to do another scan Wednesday. If baby is still breech I will have the option of either a c section or for them to try and turn baby. They're also talking about possibly inducing me in first week of December, my due date is 22nd, because of how small baby is, but I would have thought they would want you to go as long as possible when it's small. I feel so guilty that baby is not growing properly

SleepingStandingUp · 22/11/2019 18:43

They induce early if they think baby isn't growing quick enough cos thry can fatten them up quicker on the outside than inside. If they keep them in, they keep getting comparatively smaller and if there's an issue with the placenta they can stop growing at all.

However none of it is anything you've done. It isn't your fault and it's not something you can control. I understand the guilt, DS has a chrosmome disorder and was born with a congenital defect, I feel guilty I didn't grow him right. But I know I did the absolute best I could, just like you are x

LHMB · 22/11/2019 23:14

SleepingStandingUp thank you x

pottypotamus · 23/11/2019 12:29

Can I join and have a moan please? Although I may not be eligible anymore soon enough.

Had a CP in Sept, preg tests didn't get darker, CBD stayed at 1-2wks.

I got another positive last weekend and the cheapies haven't been getting darker. So fecking annoying, just annoyed it's happening again.

Got a 1-2wks on CBD last Sunday. And have been scared to test again I case it says the same. I know I'm going to have to bite the bullet soon. I'm 5 weeks exactly today, according to LMP.

Early pregnancy is such a nerve-wrecking time!!!

fancytiles · 24/11/2019 23:59

@LHMB you did the best you can, the baby's growth is not really in your control and quite honestly I don't really believe those growth scans! You're doing great x

GrumpyHoonMain · 25/11/2019 00:36

38 weeks and I’m waking up at night not just because of nausea and wanting to pee, but also painful full body braxton hicks contractions.

LHMB · 25/11/2019 13:04

fancytiles thank you x

SleepingStandingUp · 25/11/2019 21:19

Urgh I've for a really dicey tummy, nothing is exiting solid. I so need it to be a minor bug not my body purging for labour 😪😪

LHMB · 27/11/2019 18:22

SleepingStandingUp hope you're feeling better.
Scan today revealed baby still breech but in an awkward position that prevents a vaginal delivery, they booked me for a c section on the 13th. Got to have steroid injections on the day before cos baby isn't due until the 22nd and it's only small. They gave me a leaflet about a ecv and tried to persuade me to think about having that to try and turn the baby so I have a vaginal delivery

SleepingStandingUp · 27/11/2019 18:35

Hey LHMB!!

C Sec buddies!!!

What gestation will you be? I have my steroids on tbe Sat /Sun before
