Pregnant Women's Moan Thread

Thought I'd start a thread to unload all of our general moans, be they rational or totally and utterly irrational Grin

I'll go first.

30 weeks now and more than ready for the next 10 weeks to be over. Suffering with PGP which means that if I move around too much I'm fucked, and interestingly, if I don't move around enough I'm equally fucked. For added irony, the line between the 2 is very slim Hmm

My iron is borderline and I'm also exhausted after being at home all week with 3dcs who were on half term, so have a pile of work to catch up on (I'm freelance and normally work while they're at school). Oh and we have been renovating for the last few weeks, and thankfully have finished now but the house is a shit tip because of it and it's stressing me out because I can't launch into the cleaning too hard with the PGP.

Icing on the cake is that for the last few days, whatever position the baby is in, every movement feels like I'm being bloody jabbed sharply in the ribs/side by an MMA fighter. And don't even start me on the fanny daggers Hmm

Phew! Feel a bit lighter now Grin Come and sympathise/commiserate/share your woes with me!

Can I join please? 38 weeks, carrying another massive baby, booked in for a section next week apparently but they haven't actually told me what date it's happening. At this point, I'd rather go into labour because I've reached the point where I can't actually walk anymore 🙄

flissity · 14/11/2019 08:28

@SleepingStandingUp yes I can see that s a slight worry!! I have 2 girls. I have no idea what this one will be, tempting to find out but prob rather the surprise. I think the girls want it to be a girl...
this is prob alt my last. I’ll be 37

anitagreen · 14/11/2019 12:19

Glad I'm not the only one tired of pregnancy now. I'm 32 weeks and can feel baby's dropped my bumps lower and the head feels like it's about to fall out my vagina any second it's so painful anyone else have this? I'm struggling to walk as it is burning me so much

Sajacas · 14/11/2019 12:32

I am at 40, and feel like it is never going to end.
I haven't been able to eat a full meal for ages, I miss food!

PurplePuffinPicker · 14/11/2019 15:10

My moan at 8 weeks is the nausea/STARVING cycle. There's no indication of when it will switch. If I'm lucky the starving phase kicks in to time with meals. But I'm due to start a new job soon and I'll be stuck to quite a rigid timetable so can only eat at certain times, no idea how I'll cope!

I can't remember it being this drastic last time!

Catarinah · 14/11/2019 17:49

30 weeks tomorrow. Lack of sleep is crazy. Can't get comfortable. Weeing literally allllll the time. Oh and spider veins and rosacea on my face, very ugly.

Bronwynann · 14/11/2019 21:42

Only 13 weeks and none of my clothes fit. In maternity gear already. I sleep and eat and go to work (where i sleep and eat more) and thats it. Feel like a giant sloth

fancytiles · 14/11/2019 23:27

35 weeks and miserable with the pregnancy 😭 but can not wait to meet the little baby! I'm sure it will be worth it but I am so bored of feeling constantly tired but only being able to sleep during the day via naps. The weight gain is really getting to me. Grr.

OccasionalNachos · 15/11/2019 04:55

Can’t sleep Sad

Yawning my head off at 9:30 so went to bed. Snapped awake at 1:30. Still awake now.

30 weeks pregnant, so I’m just going to get bigger and less comfortable!

AliceAbsolum · 15/11/2019 04:58

@occasionalnachos

Exactly the same! I'm only 5+1 Confused

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 15/11/2019 07:35

12 weeks, hyperemesis sufferer.

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 15/11/2019 07:41

12 weeks, hyperemesis sufferer.
I am sick of my mouth filling with saliva every 5 seconds. I could fill a swimming pool.
I am sick of my stomach turning at the thought of anything and everything. Water? The taste now repulses me. Cant drink anything, I have to try something new and drink as much as I can before my body rejects it.
Yesterday was cherryade, today I could throw up just looking at the bottle.

I have ridiculous nausea all day & night, I am SO OVER feeling sick CONSTANTLY.

And then the sickness - I can cope with it most of the time but it's when its every 20 minutes that it gets to me.

Alongside working a full time job & having my own business that I do afterwards - I wish we wasnt so dependent on my wage to survive or I'd have thrown the towel in weeks ago.

Phew I feel slightly better now 😂

LHMB · 15/11/2019 15:09

35 weeks and so fed up. Haven't had more then 2 hours sleep in weeks, ache all over, breathless, can't breathe properly, constant vile taste in mouth, peeing all the time but can only get out drips, stomach all over the place cos can't take my IBS medication, can't bend down or put on shoes without hyperventilating, heartburn, acid reflux, irritable, tearful and panic attacks about the birth Sad

AliceAbsolum · 15/11/2019 15:27

@LHMB Yikes, that sounds awful :( Is this your first?

SleepingStandingUp · 15/11/2019 17:33

@LHMB feeling you about the breathing, bent over to put sons gloves on yesterday and felt like my ribs were being crushed

Have you spoken to your midwife about the delivery fears? Can we help at all?

LHMB · 15/11/2019 20:13

15:27AliceAbsolum my second

17:33SleepingStandingUp I know exactly what you mean, I feel like my lungs are being squeezed.

Spoken to midwife, they changed my midwife without notice and this new one just said that I have to have a vaginal delivery, my last one said I could get a c section. My last birth was very traumatic and my son and I nearly died, ended up being diagnosed with PTSD, my son and myself have permanent health problems. I'm terrified of something similar happening this time

tinatsarina · 15/11/2019 20:49

25+2 with my second. I'm all bump and my pelvis is sore. My boobs are massive and get itchy underneath no matter what bra I wear.

Taibhse · 15/11/2019 21:36

Tina I've got the under boob itch too, even though my bra deffo fits (have spent more money on bigger and bigger bras in the last 8 months!!). I find a sprinkle of daktarin powder underneath the boobs every morning helps. Oh the glamour 🙈

Lhmb that's terrible, can you stick to your guns and demand a cs? If not, could you try some hypnobirthing tracks to help to relax you a bit?

And yy to bending over and heartburn/not being able to breathe Hmm My youngest is still in nappies and we've always changed her on a floor mat from a sitting position so for the last month or so I've been an angry sweaty breathless refluxy mess after every nappy change.

LHMB · 15/11/2019 22:30

21:36Taibhse I'm going to keep insisting, I honestly feel another vaginal delivery will further damage my health.
I know what you mean, I struggling for breath at the slightest thing now, even lying down

SleepingStandingUp · 15/11/2019 22:47

@LHMB are you cinsultant led?

LHMB · 16/11/2019 17:33

22:47SleepingStandingUp I see a consultant regularly but that's to do with under active thyroid. I see her next week at the same time as my 36 week growth scan so I will mention it and ask to speak to someone about it

tinatsarina · 16/11/2019 17:39

@Taibhse thanks for the tip, I never experienced it with my first so I thought it was the underworld in my bra so I got a nice comfy nursing maternity one and it's still itchy tho not as much. I can only assume it's because they're bigger now than when I had my first 🤨 who knows.

AlphaLemon · 16/11/2019 19:44

I love you all for being here!

I work in a very large office and during each loo break (about 1000 a day) people ask me “how I’m feeling”. If they don’t stop soon, I might start telling the truth!

No one tells you how everything hurts! And the movements allllll night 😒. And the bizarre itching, the weird cravings and how no clothes are comfortable!

I’m obviously so excited and happy, but also so flipping tired and emotional. The other day I almost cried at my desk because I couldn’t locate my snack.

SleepingStandingUp · 16/11/2019 19:46

@LHMB yeah that's what I was gonna say, ultimately cinsultant can override her surely

LHMB · 17/11/2019 16:39

19:46SleepingStandingUp thank you
