My list is soooo long, but I’ll start:

  • the inside of my handbag
  • loose change
  • zips, chains or anything metallic
  • cling film, especially if it’s picked up the inside of the bag smell
  • stale coffee

Any more for any more?

Pretty much life for me. Everything stinks.

Coffee
My fridge
Any cooking smells, particularly meat & peppers.
Rain
My shower - I assume it’s the smell of water that gets me along with the rain thing Confused
Washing powder
Hand soap
Shampoo
Cat food
Spices - our cupboard with spices makes me want to cry.

😩

The smell of boiling water

When pregnant with DC1 I had to hide an inspector Morse book I was reading. Still haven’t finished it.

Also, pastel colours, root veg and Christmas decorations (especially tinsel).

I love these, I really feel your pain

There is a high pitched noise at work and it is really making me feel sick to the extend I need to have my headphones in

Raw meat, certain toothpastes, bins, bananas Envy

HipHipHippo · 10/09/2019 16:35

When pregnant with DD there was a picture on Coop's shopfront of some lovely cooked salmon.
It absolutely made my stomach turn.

Teachermaths · 10/09/2019 16:37

Poo, couldn't deal with it. Threw up into the potty once Envy

elb1504 · 10/09/2019 16:41

My DH deodorant is currently making me heave!

ShirleyPhallus · 10/09/2019 16:41

Someone sneezed earlier and it was such a wet noise I gagged 😷

When I was pg with DC(8) it was my alarm on my phone that made me feel sick! Had to change it.

Moonstone12 · 10/09/2019 16:50

When I was pregnant with dd2 (13 now) the theme tune to Fifi and the flowertots would make me throw up. I still to this day can't watch that show 😂.

Chinese food
Certain fabric softener
Zoflora

PlinkPlink · 10/09/2019 16:57

With DS it was:

Ham (didn't eat any the whole of my pregnancy)

Bleach cleaners

The man who got on my bus in the morning to work and decided to cover every inch of himself in the most awful aftershave

You have my fullest sympathies OP!

In the mornings pretty much everything made me feel ill. Even ginger made me feel so sick. I got tablets for it in the end.

DoctorAllcome · 10/09/2019 17:00

Smell of coffee (to me even fresh roasted coffee would smell like ten day old pee in a dive bar)

Chinese food (to me it smelt like a rotting compost heap)

People blowing their nose the sound of snot would make me gag.

buckleten · 10/09/2019 17:24

The look and feel of a certain pink jumper, even now 14 years later if I think about that jumper I can conjure up a wave of sickness! Also leeks, can eat them now but they'll never be my favourite, couldn't tolerate them during my second pregnancy!

Gettingonabitnow · 10/09/2019 17:27

The smell of my toddler after nursery 🤢

moodybum · 10/09/2019 17:34

For the first three months or so, it was all cooking smells, any strong household smells (even pleasant ones like deodorant), eggs in particular (still not a fan) and for some reason coffee (although it was decaf anyway, so wasn't that heartbroken) xx

insideoutandback · 10/09/2019 17:36

With all 4 of my pregnancies the smell of fresh air made we want vomit. I couldn't iron clothes that had been on the washing line and I couldn't stand being near anyone that had just come inside until the fresh air smell had worn off.

MajorFaffington · 10/09/2019 17:59

Game of Thrones made me feel sick during and after my first pregnancy, as we had binge watched the first couple of series over a few days as my sickness started. I couldn’t watch the next couple of series, whether pregnant or not- the theme tune alone made me want to vom.

The final series came on when I was about 6 weeks into my current pregnancy and, as I felt sick anyway, I could watch it (as long as I fast forwarded the title music, which seemed to make it worse!)

Alice8688 · 10/09/2019 18:05

Oh my days this thread! With DS it was life itself. With DD it included (but wasn't limited to...)

-the baileys Xmas ad
-LV insurance advert
-co op Xmas ad (is there a theme here??)
-a certain fairy washing up liquid (still can't bear to this day)

I'm very very early pg with #3 and will be interesting to see what happens!

PlinkPlink · 10/09/2019 18:06

I had no idea people could feel sick at the thought of adverts Grin

Tableclothing · 10/09/2019 18:09

The margarita-in-a-can the woman on the train was drinking. It stank out the entire carriage (although dh claimed he couldn't smell anything...)

ShirleyPhallus · 10/09/2019 18:12

Lol at title music to GOT and adverts!

It’s definitely the memory of stuff which makes it much stronger / worse

The hand soap at work is really industrial and smells rank, I need to buy some new stuff really but how can I smuggle it in to the toilets without anyone noticing and thinking how weird I am

For me (20 years ago!) it was those magazine pages that were impregnated with perfume - ugh

popehilarious · 10/09/2019 18:20

The absolute worst thing in the world was:
FRESHLY DELIVERED OCADO BAGS

similar to when you take a new binbag off the roll. Chemically plasticky puke making.

And the chilled section of my local Sainsburys, oddly.

MarbleCake · 10/09/2019 18:21

Cooking chicken

Household cleaners
