Irish boys name

I'm Irish but DH isnt. He is happy with an Irish name if it is close to being phonetic but this limits choices. Any suggestions please.

Cian and cillian seem to be pretty popular choices around here at the moment.

I love the name Darragh, and it isn't too far from phonetic

I was your husband in this scenario, wanted an Irish name but as we live in Scotland it had to be either phonetic or very recognisable here. We went with Ruairi.

I kniw there was a St Mel because the cathedral in Longford is called St. Mel's.

Conan isn't an Irish name. Mel isn't a name in Ireland.
