@cupcakesandglitter yeah I'm doing well hun! Looking forward to a quiet weekend in at home with doglet, and DH when he's there 😊 xx

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 14:04

@MrsR16 - thank you - it was amazing to see! I loved seeing them move around too 🥰
Can’t wait to meet them! How are you doing?

@MrsEG - I honestly can’t tell between not or girl! I don’t know about the skull theory, but based on nub I thought girl.
I’m just going to be happy if they’re healthy! Might read up on skull theory now...😀
Can’t wait for your scan! Is it in the morning?

@cupcakesandglitter - haha! We shall find out in November 😊 have you got your 12 week scan booked?

MrsEG · 13/09/2019 14:11

@cupcakesandglitter Haha! Enjoy it :) This will be our first private scan but I’ve been very lucky to have had so many at the hospital already!
Yes it’s Emma Willis I saw the planned section on and it looked lovely! I just thought the mum was so well looked after and like you say; 30 mins after being prepped both babies were there!

@ELW85 I really, really wouldn’t take my word for it haha! But as I don’t really get the nub theory I find the skulls easier to analyse ha! It’s not until 12:30, they’ve given us a longer slot too so they can get a good look at them both so here’s hoping they don’t both have their legs wrapped around their umbilical cords!!

stormtrooperjulian · 13/09/2019 14:58

@BostonFern I'm actually still feeling pretty good physically, I'm only really struggling to move around in bed, turning over in the night is a mission and getting out of bed hurts my pelvis, so I'm actually a lot more comfortable during the day!

@ELW85 I'm not sure how I feel really, it just feels like such a huge change going from a high pressure job to an unknown. Glad the scan went well, lovely pics! I think it's a girl but I thought mine was a girl too based on the scan pic and I was totally wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

@TrashKitten10 I think I'm as prepared as I can be, with my handover at work at least! Not so sure about being prepared for the baby arriving 😂

@cupcakesandglitter great news that you feel human again!

Am getting constant braxton hicks now, it's a bit annoying, hopefully my body is getting in some good practise for labour so it happens quickly once it starts properly.

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 15:32

@stormtrooperjulian - I totally feel you on the job front.
I’m involved in a massive restructure and some regulatory stuff at the moment and I’m struggling to get my head around that being switched off for a few months. Obviously, I’m beyond ecstatic for our lovely little family, but it's just a curve. You’ll be fine and I bet you love it 😊
Thank you for the girl suggestion, that’s 2-1 now!

MrsH497 · 13/09/2019 16:24

Hey ladies,
@MrsEG it was horribly early!! But all done for the day now!
@cupcakesandglitter it's amazing how something so incredibly tiny can make you so tired!

So bloated my work trousers are digging in 😂

MrsEG · 13/09/2019 17:12

@stormtrooperjulian Fingers crossed your body is getting good and ready! Hope the Braxton hicks aren’t too uncomfortable!

@MrsH497 Ha the bloat is horrible! It does go down after a few weeks though :) Glad you’re all done!

I had both my whooping cough and flu jabs done yesterday, one in each arm - currently can’t lift either to put my jacket on to leave the office!! Very glad I’ve got them done though; I was unlucky enough to get flu a few years ago and my god I wouldn’t want to have to go through that again un-medicated!

Have fab Friday nights all, I’m off for a swim with DH!

purplefig · 13/09/2019 17:25

@MrsH497 symptoms really vary from person to person. I started to feel some very mild nausea at around week 6 and it probably peaked around week 9 and then eased off as I entered the second trimester. You can drive yourself made willing yourself to feel worse so it feels real...I just kept reminding myself that some people have no symptoms at all!

@ELW85 congrats - proper looking lil baby in there!! THREE GLASSES OF WATER?! That is inhumane Grin.

@MrsEG It sounds like you're being really realistic about it all and researching everything really thoroughly. Which, having 'known' you on here for a while, doesn't surprise me at all Grin. Enjoy your swim, sounds like a lovely end to the week.

Have a fab weekend everyone! After a manic week at work, I'm looking forward to doing a whole lot of nothing...starting with a nice soak in the bath which will hopefully sort my achy back out. x

LokiCat · 13/09/2019 17:27

Hi all! Hope you've had a brilliant Friday 😊 it's so lovely and sunny here!

@BabySquid your caravan weekend sounds great - enjoy!

@ELW85 ahh gorgeous scan photos! So pleased everything went well. I'm pretty useless at nub theory so won't even attempt!
It must have been so lovely seeing them - very happy for you!!

@cupcakesandglitter glad to hear you're feeling better! It must have been so nice seeing your baby again 😍

@stormtrooperjulian looks like your body is starting to prepare itself! Hope the braxton hicks aren't too uncomfortable but how exciting that it's sort of the start of something!

@MrsEG glad you managed to get the jabs, but hope the dead arms are alright by the time you get to swimming! Enjoy!

I couldn't stop running to the toilet today, my colleagues will probably think I have some sort of stomach problem now. Also the amount of leukorrhea I'm seeing is crazy!! There are such glamourous sides to pregnancy! 😂

Hope you all have a lovely Friday evening. Me and DH have been a watching a new show The Capture on BBC, so will probably catch up with that!

LokiCat · 13/09/2019 17:29

@purplefig whoops cross post! A weekend of nothing sounds absolutely brilliant. Nothing better than a warm bath to end the day - I hope it helps with your back! X

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 17:39

@MrsEG - enjoy your swim! I hope your poor arms relax a bit in the water 😊

@purplefig - it was awful! DH was trying to distract me and I was like “I’m in PAIN” 😂 the sonographer just ordered me out. Brilliant result though so well worth it.
I hope you enjoy your bath; sounds like a perfect way to end the week.

@LokiCat - thank you my lovely! It was such a wonderful feeling and now a weekend off with DH. Cherry on the cake! I hope you’re ok? Leukorrhea can definitely keep you on your toes!! I’d always run to the bathroom to check it was nothing else.
And The Capture is awesome!! I’ve got a theory but I won’t ruin it for you. I’m sure your DH will solve it anyway!

MrsR16 · 13/09/2019 18:36

@ELW85 that's great to hear 😊 yeah, I'm doing ok! Glad to be at home after a long old week at work for sure. Relaxing weekend planned - just some time for me and DH! Starting to suffer with heartburn now though 😂

@stormtrooperjulian hope the braxton hicks calms down a bit for you! That can't be much fun...

@MrsH497 I feel you on the bloated front! I was awful for my first couple of months!

@MrsEG you brave lady having both done at once!! I'm such a wimp when it comes to injections...

@purplefig enjoy your bath!! That's one thing I really miss 😕

MrsH497 · 13/09/2019 18:46

@MrsR16 because of wearing uniform as soon as I don't wear it everyone will guess why but they've really dug in today and rubbed my tummy. DH did a bbq for dinner and I am so not hungry 🙁x

purplefig · 13/09/2019 19:50

@MrsR16 ahhh, how come - do you not have a bath? You can't beat a bath in winter (I know it's still summer Blush !!!).

@ELW85 yes worth it for that lovely clear result...at least you know for your 20 week scan! Grin

@LokiCat Hope your loo dashes settle down! Ooo I love a good beeb drama, I'll look into The Capture - sounds fab.

stormtrooperjulian · 13/09/2019 20:29

@MrsEG I've been getting the flu jab every year for a while, ever since I had the flu a few years ago, it was so awful I never want to get it again! Was made worse by being out of the country with work at the time, stuck in bed in a hotel room for a full week was horrible, luckily I was recovered enough to get out of bed for my flight home.

@MrsR16 don't you have a bath in your house? I admit I hate baths, haven't had one in years, but I know I'm in the minority there.

MrsR16 · 13/09/2019 20:29

@MrsH497 it won't be long though! Do I remember correctly that you're a girl in blue? (Apologies if not - baby brain's bloody awful!)

@purplefig no, I just have a shower! It's wonderful, but you can't beat a bath... in all weathers, not just winter! 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 13/09/2019 20:29

Hi all, happy Friday!! 😀🎉

@MrsEG, well done with having both your jabs!! I still need to get mine, will ask the midwife about it at my next appointment. You must be so excited to find out what you're having... I'll be checking in, to see if my random guess of 'one of each' was correct! Xxx

@ELW85, great news about your scan going well 🙂 Just to say, I actually did a 'Nub theory' post... Every reply (about 7 I think) said girl... I'm having a boy 😂

@cupcakesandglitter, glad your scan reassured you after your pains xxx

@lokicat, can I just ask, how far along are you? Sorry, I lose track! It's just that I'm 23 weeks and for the past few weeks I've had some 'running to the loo' issues as well! Midwife doesn't seem worried but it is annoying!

Just caught up with the Strictly launch, countdown to Christmas is officially on 😂

OP posts:
MrsR16 · 13/09/2019 20:31

@stormtrooperjulian nope I don't... 😕 I would like to have the option for sure!!

@Fivebyfive2 I am super excited for Strictly! DH and I love it!! 😍 I'm gutted that Jamie's had to pull out though!

Fivebyfive2 · 13/09/2019 20:52

@MrsR16, there was a conspiracy theory that it was so Oti wouldn't compete, because her sister is a judge... But apparently they've already said she'll be dancing with a different celebrity 😀

OP posts:
MrsR16 · 13/09/2019 21:20

@Fivebyfive2 I thought they might have done - it's not like he had to pull out the day before the first show! I'm excited to see 😊 Oti always teaches so well! X

MrsH497 · 13/09/2019 22:46

@MrsR16 correct a girl in blue here! I'm not at work for most of the rest of the month so I'm going with by the time I have my midwife appointment I'll ditch uniform in favour of being comfy. I've read lots of comfy maternity clothes to wear must admit I can't wait lol.

Yay you're all strictly fans as well! Fun fact - as well as being a girl in blue I used to dance ballroom and Latin (and a strictly pro taught me!)

ELW85 · 14/09/2019 07:39

@MrsR16 - a relaxing weekend with DH sounds wonderful! I hope you have a great time 😊

@MrsH497 - how are you feeling? Has the funny taste gone yet? A BBQ sounds great but you’d definitely have to be in the mood for it!

@purplefig - lesson definitely learned! How are you doing? Are the headaches still in check?

@Fivebyfive2 - that’s hilarious! I considered doing a post but it’s just so hard to determine, might as well just wait for November 😊

DH is just back from a Starbucks trip! Happy Saturday everyone!

MrsEG · 14/09/2019 07:41

@purplefig I actually have a twins FiloFax 🙈 I keep all my personal notes in it and jot down any questions I think up. DH tells me it’s wedding planning 2.0! I just like to feel very prepared - I’ve never been one for surprises at all!
Hope you enjoyed your bath! I haven’t had one at all actually and really missing them (was confused about the whole temperature thing at first) but I may treat myself this weekend!

@LokiCat The leukorrhea in those early weeks is unreal!! It has eased off for me recently though, but I am warned discharge comes back and then some in the third tri haha! I actually had it so bad in the first tri I would have to take spare underwear to work 🙈

@MrsR16 Ha, I’m actually okay with needles! She asked if I wanted both to just get it over and done with and I figured I have two arms so why not!

@stormtrooperjulian Flu is unbearable isn’t it, you poor thing being away from home! I actually ended up at hospital as my fever was so high and just wouldn’t come down; the hospital sent a taxi to collect me and I was in such a bad way the driver thought I was in labour!! Honestly people don’t realise how awful flu is until it happens to them I don’t think!

@Fivebyfive2 Even DH is now guessing one of each and he’s basing it solely on the fact the twins heart rates were different speeds this week. Even though as they don’t share DNA that could mean anything haha!

So my swim went out of the window as my arms were sore so we’re doing that tonight instead! Arms are fine this morning :) Also I keep seeing ads for the Capture and wasn’t sure about it, but think I’ll give it a go now!

Happy weekends to all looks like we’re getting some sunshine!

MrsR16 · 14/09/2019 08:02

@MrsH497 I'm assuming as soon as you notify anyone, you'll be on desk duty for the next 8 months! Mat wear's brilliant 😂 I've got a pair of dungarees and I adore them... 😯😯😯 which strictly pro? That's amazing! I'd so love to be able to dance properly

@ELW85 thanks lovely! We have a plasterer coming round today to quote us for the nursery so we'll see how much that makes me cry lol

@MrsEG that totally makes sense 😂 you sound super organised with a Filofax! I love lists... 😂😂

MrsH497 · 14/09/2019 08:58

@MrsR16 well I moved roles after the MC to a desk job anyway and a Monday to Friday so no shifts and I think that honestly helped this time falling pregnant a bit quicker. But as soon as I say I won't be allowed out at all! Honestly can't wait for Mat wear that's so sad isn't it!?

Brendan was who I had lessons with and he was so lovely. Had them from about 16/17 to about 20 but sooooo expensive
