@MrsEG I think you're right 😊 DH is taking over from me while I'm having a break (ish!) so it's not like I'll be completely out of touch.

@BostonFern I'm doing ok thanks lovely 😊 baby is very much behaving today which is good!! If it can hang on another 10 weeks at least, then that would be much better haha!

@ELW85 I'm so excited for your scan tomorrow! It'll be wonderful to see your little un 😍

MrsR16 · 12/09/2019 18:08

@TrashKitten10 cross post! Yeah, thankfully everything's been ok since 😊 everyone at work's been treading super carefully around me which is hilarious 😂

thumper59 · 12/09/2019 18:33

@TrashKitten10 I'll have a look, sounds good! That will be good for us I think. I don't want to follow the full thing as far as candles and renaming contractions but anything that will hopefully help me keep away from pain relief I feel happy with. Hope your doing well. I'm still suffering with my pelvis and hips/lower back it's been quite bad this week and if I'm honest yesterday and today I am zapped! My brain wants to do so much- but my body is just so tired. I've had an hour nap after getting in from work today!

Hope your all well ladies I'll read through the messages and catch up in the bath xxx

thumper59 · 12/09/2019 18:54

@ELW85 feeling ready and settled I think is the nicest feeling in the world!

@MrsR16 I'm glad your feeling better!

@MrsH497 congratulations on your positive!! That's wonderful news

@stormtrooperjulian so exciting how close you are now!

@LokiCat sorry your not feeling great but it does pass, promise! From 12 weeks I felt fabulous, it's only upto about the last couple
Of weeks I've started to struggle a little, and the last few days I've been tired again but frustrate my body can't keep up with my brain! I plague myself with so much guilt if everything isn't done and I don't know why, nobody else cares if the house isn't immaculate, OH is more than capable and happy to do stuff but I am such a stubborn cow I just want to do it all 😂

ELW85 · 12/09/2019 19:13

@purplefig - it is the 12 week one tomorrow, at 10.20am. So pleased I don’t have to wait the entire day!
We had a scan at 8+5 and it settled me, but nerves are building a little. I’m sure after tomorrow I’ll go back to being happy and excited again 😊

@MrsR16 - thank you so much lovely! I can’t wait to see them and make sure they’re happy and healthy!

purplefig · 12/09/2019 19:26

@thumper59 if you're keen to avoid interventions I'd seriously recommend the positive birth company download. Obviously some interventions and unavoidable (and lifesaving), but lots end up happening unnecessarily and she goes into the reasons why. There's a whole section on the science of birth (which I found fascinating) and likewise there's logic behind renaming contractions and having the lights lowered (midwives know it - that's why most birthing centres have dimmable lighting.) Right - I'll stop harping on!!

@ELW85 10.20am tomorrow will be here before you know it ❤️ deep breaths, you've got this!!

BabySquid · 12/09/2019 20:02

@MrsEG I keep meaning to get Emma Willis on catchup.
@TrashKitten10 yeah she is a bit, but I just ignore her! They took us nursery furniture shopping last weekend and she was literally attached to my hip the entire time, I kept having to move away coz I get quite claustrophobic!!
@ELW85 I'm excited for you for your scan tomorrow. Look forward to pics.

Ok so you all need to google the gif of a man eating candy floss backwards!! DH just showed me it and the more you see it the funnier it is!! 🤣
We've also just caught up on GBBO with pizza!! Must be a theme here!
Sooooo happy tomorrows Friday and I can stop thinking about what I'm guna try fit in for work! Love dress down Fridays haha. This bump is getting bigger and I've been sat here tonight feeling more and more movement in there.

MrsEG · 12/09/2019 20:08

@BostonFern I’ve only actually watched two episodes and as both had twins I made myself watch as research haha! But I enjoyed what I saw - they show all kinds of births; quick and uneventful, inductions, c-sections both planned and emergency etc. So I’ve actually found it really interesting! Enjoy your weekend plans :)

@ELW85 I will definitely let everyone know! Enjoy tomorrow it’s a fab experience it really is! Take some ££ for your pictures!

@purplefig I have - in a perfect world I’ll end up with a planned section I think with my own special playlist etc; but I try to just also remind myself I really need to go with the flow as that’s only gonna happen if they don’t make a surprise appearance before 37 weeks! But it’s what is my Plan A for sure (I’ve long decided against pushing them both out; it just sounds utterly exhausting!! Twin 2 can sometimes take a good hour to follow Twin 1 out!!) Hope you enjoyed your dog walk!! Ours escaped the garden today and had a little adventure 🙈 so he’s currently fast asleep!

MrsEG · 12/09/2019 20:14

Whoops missed a whole other page of posts!!

@TrashKitten10 5 weeks! There’s so many of you now getting really close! Enjoy it - it’ll be here before you know it! Yep, work is so dull at the mo and I have a good 3 months of it yet!!

@MrsR16 Ah how lovely of DH to take the reigns for you!

@BabySquid You have to have pizza when it’s bread week on GBBO! I’ll look up the candyfloss guy. DH sent me a video of a dog digging out her puppies that had been buried in rubble earlier and it reduced me to a blubbering wreck, so I need something funny!

@thumper59 Oh bless you, it must get so frustrating towards the end when you want to get so much done and be all prepared but your body is like ‘nope!’ - I’m sure you have everything sorted so enjoy these last few weeks of rest and chilling out with your feet up!

LokiCat · 12/09/2019 20:29

@MrsR16 haha glad baby and bump are behaving now!

@stormtrooperjulian yeah I'm very glad DH understood why I went from laughing one minute to a crying mess the next 😂 he's been great.
Wow 5 days! How amazing. I hope you manage to enjoy some time off before little bubba shows up 😊

@MrsEG ahh how lovely you got to hear the heartbeats, that must have been so amazing 😍 sounds like you'll start feeling them pretty soon!

@BostonFern thanks so much lovely 😊 I am trying to take it easy and realise that I'm allowed to rest when I feel tired and just relax. Your weekend sounds like it'll be lovely a chill. Exactly what you need after a long week at work!

@ELW85 thanks lovely ❤️
How exciting that it's your 12 week scan tomorrow! It'll be so lovely getting to see your little bubba again 😍

@TrashKitten10 thanks sweet! It's crazy that at the earliest is when you feel the most rubbish. I guess your body is starting to feel all the changes and you get used to them as the weeks go on! Glad your first full week back went well. Well done for managing it all at 32 weeks, I can't imagine it's that easy. Can't believe you only have 5 weeks to go!

@thumper59 thank you 💕 thanks to all you lovely ladies I am feeling reassured that things get better! It's so easy to just be on the go constantly and forget about resting our bodies when they're doing so much! Sorry I didn't message about it earlier but I just saw photos of your baby shower! It looked absolutely amazing, how lovely of your mum to throw that for you! I hope you had a brilliant time 😊

@BabySquid I just saw the gif you mentioned and didn't think I'd giggle so hard at something!
How exciting you're feeling so much movement! I can't wait to get to that stage!

I hope you're all having a lovely evening. I've just crashed in bed and I'm sure I'll be knocking out pretty soon Grin
Have a brilliant night all. Thank you all so much for your kind words, as well. You've made me feel loads better. Such an amazing group you all are 💕

ELW85 · 12/09/2019 20:47

@purplefig @MrsEG @BabySquid @LokiCat - thanks lovelies!! And for the reminder on taking cash 😊
I’ll update you after the scan - keep everything crossed for us!

MrsH497 · 13/09/2019 03:49

I'd forgotten the exhaustion in those first few weeks 7pm last night I was sound asleep! Also the upset tummy and wind god this pregnancy lark is glamorous! Done my referral and made my booking in appointment for 3 weeks time!

Yes it's 3:50am I'm up for a really early start for work today (not told work yet!)
Happy Friday ladies x

purplefig · 13/09/2019 09:09

@ELW85 all the best for today - not long to go now!

@MrsH497 oh yes, the tiredness is real! I had multiple naps in the first tri Grin. I also had a really upset tummy for most of the first tri, which confused me as I thought it was supposed to be the opposite problem. It all sorted itself out around the 12 week mark though. Well done for sorting your booking in appointment - and I hope you get an early night today after that outrageously early start!

@MrsEG AN HOUR!?!?!?! Oh twin 2, that is taking the piss!! Grin I think I'd definitely be thinking about a c-section if I had twins. Happy exciting weekend btw, I am legit excited on your behalf

@BabySquid what did you wear in the end? Amazing you can feel movements! I have some faint feeling of wind and that's it Grin.

Have a fab Friday and weekend everyone! x

BabySquid · 13/09/2019 09:22

@purplefig got my maternity jeans on today with a jumper. So nice and cosy ☺️

Happy Friday all. I'm off away this weekend with my mum and dad and hubs, parents have a caravan and so we're off to stay with them while the weathers nice. Get some walks in and a brewery tour, mainly for hubs of course!
Anyone any plans?
@MrsEG I'm super excited that you hopefully find out what the twins are this weekend, I'm guessing one of each, twin one girl, twin two boy 😁

MrsH497 · 13/09/2019 10:33

@purplefig oh im so glad you said this! I literally have no other symptoms at the moment feel fine - is it a case of make the most of this while it lasts?!

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 12:23

Thank you @purplefig! Not long back in after a super delayed appointment. And you definitely don’t need as much water as they say 😂 she made me empty my bladder!

Anyway...The scan went really well! Baby is a proper little wriggler and is measuring at 12+6, so due 21/03 (a day before DH’s birthday!)
The NT measurements were great at 1.6mm so just waiting on the blood coming back in the next couple of weeks.
Next scan booked for 8/11 and we can’t wait! ❤️

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 12:23

Totally forgot!! Here is little one ❤️

Catching up with TTC #1, thread 6!
MrsEG · 13/09/2019 12:31

@LokiCat Don’t worry, that’s what we’re all here for! Some of the best advice I got was just try and enjoy it, even the crap parts - all my friends say they really miss being pregnant afterwards!

@MrsH497 My god that is an early start!! Symptoms in pregnancy vary from person to person so try not to worry what someone else’s are like compared to yours; no two people will be the same!

@purplefig I know! And as they’re non-identical someone would have to get in there and break the second set of waters for me, even if twin 2 was still super high up, which sounds.....not too enjoyable haha! It’s on my list for the workshop though, did anyone push theirs out and would they recommend haha! I only have like a 40% chance of even having a shot at it though to be honest. Happy Friday too, have a fab day! I’ll for sure update everyone tomorrow on our flavours!!

@BabySquid Everyone is guessing one of each, only my sister has guessed two boys! I honestly have no clue! Your caravan weekend sounds lovely - enjoy :)

@ELW85 Fabulous pics!! Glad it all went so well! Yeah my letter said just a glass of water one hour before is plenty - I think the term ‘full bladder’ sounds like so much more than that!! Pics are fabulous - are you planning on finding out the sex at 20 weeks?

cupcakesandglitter · 13/09/2019 12:48

Happy Friday ladies 😊😊 I FEEL HUMAN AGAIN TODAY WAHOOOOOOO!! I've actually managed to get out of bed and drive (for five minutes) but I've actually done it 😭 I had a scan yesterday as I was having pains again, measured at 10+4 and even saw my baby jumping up and down 😭🥰

Ahhh @ELW85 so happy all went well, what lovely pictures 😊 I've noticed you were scanned at QE - you mustn't be far from me @BostonFern and @Fivebyfive2 !! Are you planning on finding out what it is? Can I do a nub theory guess Hehehehehe? Xx

@BabySquid ooh enjoy your weekend, sounds like a nice relaxing one! Xx

Oh yes @MrsH497 the naps!! Make the most of it 😂 I was (and still am some days) having at least one a day 😂 can't function otherwise! X

@MrsEG my mum pushed out both, and one was breech 😂😂 I've not asked about her waters though, unsure as to whether they broke by themselves or not, I can find out if you'd like? What do you prefer? C-sec or natural? X

Sorry if I've missed anyone xx

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 13:16

@MrsEG - my letter said 3 glasses of water and I was actually in pain! Won’t make that mistake again 😂
Definitely want to find out the sex! How excited are you for tomorrow?

@cupcakesandglitter - hiya lovely! So pleased you’re feeling better and your scan went well!
Ooh I’d love a nub theory guess!!
I’m in Gateshead but am having the little one in Newcastle. Are you guys in the midlands? Xx

cupcakesandglitter · 13/09/2019 13:28

@ELW85 we are, sorry I didn't know there was more than one QE whoops 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm gonna say girl!! Xx

ELW85 · 13/09/2019 13:38

@cupcakesandglitter - it’s so funny you say that! I thought girl! Xx

MrsR16 · 13/09/2019 13:41

@thumper59 thank you, I'm glad I'm better too! I got a bit scared, but it's all ok!

@LokiCat that's exactly what we're here for! We've all had scares or stuff we genuinely have no idea about - we're all helping each other!

@MrsH497 welcome to the glamour! You'll start glowing before you know it 😂 definitely make the most of no symptoms - I was lucky and only had tiredness in the first trimester teamed with a bit of nausea if I hadn't eaten anything... aside from that, I had it pretty easy! Not everyone does though. My poor sister is 20 weeks and is still suffering with sickness!

@ELW85 yay!!! I'm so glad baby's ok! Your next scan will be here before you know it 😊 isn't it crazy how much they look like a person already?

@cupcakesandglitter woohoo for feeling human!!! It's such a relief to know everything's ok and the little bubba's doing well in there isn't it?

MrsEG · 13/09/2019 13:42

@ELW85 For some reason I thought boy by the shape of the skull but I could be so wrong as I still interpret the whole skull nub theory so badly!!! I am so excited for tomorrow now, especially after hearing the heartbeats yesterday - it felt like ages since the 12 week scan so it’s nice to be getting some baby time in again haha!

@cupcakesandglitter So glad you’re feeling better now! Gosh you’ve had more scans than me at this point haha! Oh god so did your mum have to push out a breech baby then?? I edge more towards a planned section to be honest but I see my consultant again next month and have all my questions haha. The biggest worry having twins vaginally is always what twin 2 ends up doing, they can stay at the top, turn breech/transverse etc and you’ll just never know til the day! I think I’d feel a lot less anxious with a section, but we’ll see!

cupcakesandglitter · 13/09/2019 13:56

@ELW85 Ooh let's see 😊 when are you planning on finding out? 20w? X

@MrsR16 oh god definitely! It's so lovely to see - still doesn't feel real though 😂 how're you? x

@MrsEG I've had loads 😂 I have a private one next week as was supposed to take the MILs this week, and then the week after is my 12w scan! I think that makes sense - twin 2 for my mum was the breech one 😂 I think planned sections always sound quite "nice" I guess because they're so controlled and you're definitely seeing your bubbas as soon as it happens! I've been watching too much of Emma Willis 😂😂 xx
