Thank you @cupcakesandglitter - can’t wait to see the little one again! The scan at 8+5 was lush xx

LokiCat · 28/08/2019 11:31

@ELW85 an evening on the sofa for me with DH and lots of food Grin
Well done for working out! I still haven't been since getting my BFP.

@MrsR16 Wow 24 weeks! Time is flying!

@cupcakesandglitter glad you're feeling better and how exciting that you got to see your little one again! So pleased all is well Smile
Yess, I watched Power last night! So sad it's the last season but can see it's going to be a crazy one!!

ELW85 · 28/08/2019 11:42

@LokiCat - your evening sounds perfect! It’s weird working out, feeling permanently tired and queasy, but I try to push through that and take it as easy as I can. I’m definitely not going at full capacity!

Jessikka · 28/08/2019 12:01

Morning everyone!
Hope you're all feeling better than me today.

Had some strong cramps last night that intensified when I stretched. Thought nothing of them and drifted off. Woke to the biggest sick feeling ever at 4am and have been awake since.

Noticed for the first time I had a slightly yellow tinge to my cm but google showed a few women on pregnacare reported a changed and so cancelled work for the day and rested as cramps returned.

Now my cm is getting pinker and had the smallest whirl of red mixed in so obviously panic mode took over.

Now sat on my sofa trying to keep a PMA whilst secretly terrified :(

Hope your days go better than mine so far. Though I'm cwtched up with a blanket and downton abbey so not all bad I guess lol x

BabySquid · 28/08/2019 13:17

@ELW85 & @MrsEG my bestie has a little Arthur and he's adorable 🥰 great name.
@Fivebyfive2 hope little Homer is good bubs for your scan... are you hoping to find out what you're having?
Hope things go well for you too @PippaPug can't wait to see those two babies!!
@Jessikka hope your spotting and cramping subsides... personal I know but have you DTD in the past couple days? I had it a few times post sex and it worried me but it's just because everything is so sensitive down there with so much more blood flow to that area.
I took my first bump pic today at 16+2... not much of one but it's past my boobs now!!

Jessikka · 28/08/2019 13:23

@babysquid god no. I'm not letting him anywhere near me. I can barely walk without setting off MS and my boobs scream from the sensation of the stairs so no way am I dtd atm haha!
Cant think of anything worse right now! You've got a lovely bump coming too! So jealous of all you ladies! Cant wait for mine!

Spotting has stopped yippee!

MrsR16 · 28/08/2019 13:40

Yay @cupcakesandglitter great to see you! Wonderful news that you've seen bean and everything's good 😊 it's so overwhelming. And yep, trust me you'll be 24 weeks before you know it! Xx

@LokiCat tell me about it! It's exciting though! Although still scary as I have so much to do before baby has a possibility of turning up 😂 xx

@Jessikka if you're concerned, lovely, call your midwife. They'll soon help settle any worries! But great to see it's settled... the amount of times I called them in tears was unreal - they probably groaned when they saw my number pop up! 😂😂 xx

@BabySquid beautiful little bump! Xx

ELW85 · 28/08/2019 13:43

@BabySquid - what a lovely bump!! I swear I’m getting something (probably bloating 😂) but it’s too early I think!

@Jessikka - pleased the spotting has stopped, and I second @MrsR16 - give the midwife a call if you have any concerns

Bettythecat · 28/08/2019 14:40

On the talk of bumps I'm feeling so depressed about my lack of a proper bump. I'm 17+2 and was really expecting to have one by now but you actually can't tell I'm pregnant (most people at work don't know). I've got a tiny curve at the bottom of my tummy and you can feel it when I lie on my side but other than that it's nothing. I've put on weight all over so I'm a lot bigger than usual (including in a little under belly button paunch). I just want to feel like this pregnancy is real and for everyone to be able to tell! And I've felt no movements yet (my placenta is at the front which apparently makes a difference). For anyone who is further on did anyone get a bump later on in their pregnancy? I feel like I'm going mad with constant bump watching!

@Jessikka sorry to hear about your cramping and spotting. Is there a nearby EPU you can go to? They would most likely scan you which might help to set your mind at rest 😘

MrsEG · 28/08/2019 14:58

@Bettythecat Don't worry - my sister had no bump til 21 weeks and before that was like you and felt she just looked like she'd gained weight. Enjoy it while it lasts! My bump is insane - just took this snap at work - I am only 14+3 and believe me it comes with lots of aches and pains, needing to pee all the time and changing your wardrobe every two weeks haha! I'm sure in the next few weeks now you'll pop right out and then just grow and grow :)

@Jessikka Do call the midwife just in case - it could even be a UTI (I had yellow discharge when I had a UTI and had cramps that turned out to be my kidneys!!)

@BabySquid Cute wee bump!

@cupcakesandglitter Hello again and so pleased you had a fab scan!!

ELW85 · 28/08/2019 15:09

@MrsEG look at you 💕 absolutely gorgeous bump!! I’m so, so happy for you! Totally made me emotional (hormones 😂) x

Bettythecat · 28/08/2019 15:15

Omg @MrsEG you've got such a bump it's amazing!! Can't believe it! Those babies are clearly growing nicely in there!

MrsEG · 28/08/2019 15:29

@ELW85 Ahh thank you lovely! I know - I've wanted a bump for so long it's crazy to see it; some mornings my hand goes instinctively to my belly to check it's still there!

@Bettythecat They are definitely growing away! I try to take a new pic on the same day every week since 9 weeks and the growth is mad! I really do feel it though, get really sharp ligament pains and a stretching feeling right up my belly. I hope that will level out a bit soon!

BabySquid · 28/08/2019 15:46

@MrsEG I've been getting a lot of ligament pains too! They proper shoot and last for a split second but are getting more frequent. Your bump is so nice and neat, I bet you're hoping it stays that way and doesn't go crazy! (Not likely tho soz!)

LokiCat · 28/08/2019 16:26

@ELW85 it's great that you're still managing to push through, especially in the first trimester! I'm hoping to get back into it once I can see a scan that everything is all fine. Right now I want to just wrap myself in bubble wrap; worried that the smallest thing could cause problems (which I know is stupid 🙈).

@BabySquid ahh what a beautiful little bump, such an exciting time! X

@MrsR16 I bet, it must be so exciting counting the days down for your baby to come! I'm sure you'll get it all done in time 😊

@MrsEG awww you look beautiful lovely 💕 your bump looks great, how amazing! Babies are clearly doing really well and growing Smile

Just tried running to catch a train but my boobs hurt so much from bouncing around 😂🙈 I think I may need to start looking at getting new bras, these ones have started to feel uncomfortable!! Made the train at least Grin

MrsEG · 28/08/2019 16:30

@BabySquid Really sore aren't they?! I really have to brace myself for a sneeze!! Ha I know - when I want to scare myself I google 'twin bump 37 weeks' to see how big it will go!!

BabySquid · 28/08/2019 16:36

@MrsEG wow I just googled it!! 😱🙈 I feel sorry for you... but it's such an amazing thing growing a baby, never mind TWO!!

Fivebyfive2 · 28/08/2019 18:29

Hi all! Scan went really well, they're happy with all measurements and movements etc and confirmed definitely a boy 💙😀 So next up it'll be midwife apt at 25 weeks and a growth scan/anti natal apt at 28 weeks. In between I need a the whooping cough & flu jabs... Fun 🙄

@Jessikka, I hope you're feeling better and will echo what the other ladies are saying about calling the midwife if you're worried xxx

@PippaPug, hope your scan went well xx

@cupcakesandglitter, glad you're feeling better, it's just the best seeing the scan and hearing the heartbeat isn't it 🙂

@Bettythecat, don't worry too much about the lack of bump yet, there's plenty of time! I'm 21 weeks and although I have one, I still feel it kind of 'comes and goes' if that makes sense?! Also, re movement, again it is still early! Most people don't feel definite movements until about 20 weeks I think? Although I felt some earlier, they were very faint and wasn't always sure it was baby or wind 🤔 It's only recently I can feel proper nudge/kick type movement and even now, dh can't feel it so it's only strong enough for me to feel. Hopefully he'll be able to feel it soon. Try not to worry, it will happen in good time xxx

@MrsEG, omg if you had a boy and a girl they could be Arthur and Ada!! Love your bump by the way 🙂

Here is a pic of Little Homer 😍

MrsEG · 28/08/2019 18:37

@LokiCat M&S crop tops have been a dream for me and my aching melons!!

@Fivebyfive2 Ahh how fabulous the scan went so well! Word of advice that I've had given to me - get the whooping cough jab in your non-dominant arm as it can really ache! I get the flu jab every winter though, it's completely fine - never had any issues with it.
I actually love Ada, and Ida! I am just itching to know what combo we're having now so we can properly think about the names!

stormtrooperjulian · 28/08/2019 18:58

@PippaPug sorry you're getting stretch marks already, I'm sure they'll fade away to nothing after the pregnancy though. I've heard that oiling your belly can help if your skin is feeling itchy and tight from the stretching (I don't think it helps with preventing stretch marks unfortunately 😞)

@MrsEG glad you slept better last night! I seem to have good nights and bad nights in a totally unpredictable pattern, so annoying

@MrsR16 Can't believe you're 24 weeks already, that's gone so quickly!

@cupcakesandglitter Glad you're feeling more positive, are the anti sickness meds helping?

@Bettythecat My bump didn't arrive til somewhere around 21 weeks, up til then I just looked like I'd eaten too much cake

@Fivebyfive2 Glad your scan went well! Echoing @MrsEG, the whooping cough jab can be pretty sore after so don't plan any strenuous activity for that afternoon!

LokiCat · 28/08/2019 19:11

@MrsEG thanks for the tip! Will probably do some shopping over the weekend Smile

@Fivebyfive2 Ahh what a beautiful scan. Glad it all went well and little Homer cooperated!Grin

ELW85 · 28/08/2019 19:28

@Fivebyfive2 - congratulations!! Gorgeous scan pic 😊

MrsR16 · 28/08/2019 20:39

@Bettythecat I didn't show properly until I was around 18 weeks! And my placenta's at the back. With you, it sounds like baby will find it more difficult to push out the front until there's no room left. My sister was still in her normal clothes until she was about 7 months pregnant with her first! It does happen, but I know what you mean about it being frustrating to not be obviously pregnant to the outside world.

@MrsEG you're carrying pregnancy so well! You look amazing xx

@LokiCat so it turns out I got home and stripped the nursery of its current (painted) wallpaper 😂 then had to sweep and clean the floor downstairs, then do the washing up, then clean the washing machine! Nesting much?!? Crazy woman

@Fivebyfive2 awwww, look at gorgeous little Homer! Such a beautiful boy xx

@stormtrooperjulian it's crazy how quickly pregnancy goes isn't it?

LokiCat · 29/08/2019 07:43

@MrsR16 wow look at you!! Well done haha. At this rate, you'll have everything done by next week Grin
What colour are you doing the nursery? I can't wait to start planning ours. Have already been creating Pinterest boards with ideas!

Tropicana1 · 29/08/2019 08:14

Found out we're having a little girl 😊😊 and all ok at anomaly scan!

Ladies can I ask a question about sex 😂 I feel like we're having a massive dry spell at the moment and not sure why really! Not sure if it's a pregnancy thing lowering my libido or if it's just because we've got a lot going on at the moment
