@Fivebyfive2 thanks lovely. It's hard. I know what miscarriage feels like and I'm so lucky to have him but at the same time I don't always want him. He stayed round his nanny's for the first time last night and I felt happier without him. How horrible am I?!?

Jessikka · 24/08/2019 14:48

Hi @lozzlepop! Congratulations!

cupcakesandglitter · 24/08/2019 15:21

Hi ladies, been a rough couple of days for me so I've been lurking but keeping quite, lovely to see all your bumps and nurseries xx

@Delilah7 you're not horrible at all, you can't help how you feel and with some help I'm sure you'll be feeling better in no time. It's normal and like five says, it's a step in the right direction that you know what it is and you're getting help. Ethan loves you regardless xx

BostonFern · 24/08/2019 16:29

@Jessikka hope the new pillows help tonight!

@Lozzlepop congratulations! I'll keep my 🤞 for you.

@Fivebyfive2 hope FIL is starting to get better, and that the ward isn't ridiculously hot too. Not long for you to wait for your scan now then, I know I said it earlier, but I'd really recommend the positive birth company's hypnobirthing pack to help calm nervous other halves. You've got a lucky baby too, sounds like you've been given some wonderful gifts-totally get you on hiding things from cats too!

@Delilah7 be kind to yourself lovely, accept help and make sure you talk to people. Do not feel guilty or horrible for taking time for yourself, it will help you get better xx

I spent a couple of hours this morning cleaning up our bargain eBay bugaboo-it was practically spotless in the first place but I wanted to give it all a good clean anyway. I think I'm nesting a bit early, but I feel all happy now it's done, stored away in the nursery ready to go and it's one less job to do next half term before I start mat leave.

BabySquid · 24/08/2019 16:38

@MrsEG that's fab new about your friends pregnancy, but not to fan about your sore nips... mine were sore a couple weeks ago but read it could be due to growth and to try moisturise them, it worked a treat.

@Lozzlepop fingers crossed for you hun it's great to see you on here.
@Delilah7 Try not to feel too bad (easier said I know) but everything is still so new you're bound to feel overwhelmed.

Well we're at wedding number 4 of 4 tonight, luckily just the night do, but NOTHING to wear!! And I begrudge buying something as I'm not quite big enough for maternity dresses but don't want to just buy bigger sizes! Been shopping around Bradford this morning and didn't see anything anyway, isn't it always the way! Looking forward to a nice walk tomorrow as long as this kid moves again as I think it's sat on a nerve, my left butt cheek is in agony 😂

Fivebyfive2 · 24/08/2019 17:07

@BabySquid, hope you enjoy the reception and your bum feels better soon! Pregnancy is just so glamorous isn't it?! 😂

@Bostonfern, we did download the positive birth pack when it was on offer, we'll have to take some time and start going through it properly now!

@Delilah7, it's not horrible at all, far from it. You've acknowledged you need support and have asked for help, that's the hardest bit! It's not like you left him on a church doorstep, he was safe with grandparents (who I bet were loving the chance to help and have him at theirs for a bit!) and you got some rest and a well deserved chance to relax for a little bit. No harm there at all! I really believe in the saying about it taking a village, this idea that mum's and dads (argurably mums especially) should be able to do it all, is ridiculous. My baby boy isn't even here yet and I'm already planning to ensure he gets a bit of time with family etc, to get him used to other people and give us a little break where possible. Sharing the load does not mean you love them any less. Sorry, that ended up being quite the ramble! Xxx

@cupcakesandglitter, hope you're doing OK sweet xxx

Fil might be home tomorrow 🙂 We actually sat outside on a bench because he wanted some air, thank god!

We're meeting up with a friend of dh's in a bit, which will be nice! I'm planning to go with them for a bit and then come home to leave them to catch up properly as they don't get chance often. They can do Man Talk 😀

@Delilah7 I’m so sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. My sister was diagnosed with postnatal anxiety when her daughter was 3 months old; my sister actually came and slept at my home a few occasions while her husband had the baby as she was really struggling. It happens to a lot of women and I promise you’ll get through it; lean on all the help you can and it will get better. Relish the nights away and get some rest and you time, it really will do you the world of good! Xx

MrsEG · 24/08/2019 17:38

@Fivebyfive2 We made it to the farm! It was a lovely afternoon - my niece went on her first fairground ride and loved it 🥰 So hot though; too hot for a pregnant lady haha!

@BabySquid Really good tip I’ll get some moisturiser on them - they’re agony in the shower and also if I’m cold!! Hope you manage to find something to wear!!

daisiesandpeonies · 24/08/2019 17:40

Argh at a wedding reception in a marquee in a field and I'm literally sat in direct sunlight 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 Have had to bring my water and sit on the grass behind the marquee in the shade as I thought I was going to pass out 🥵🥵🥵

daisiesandpeonies · 24/08/2019 17:41

@Delilah7 thinking about you lovely ❤️❤️🎉

daisiesandpeonies · 24/08/2019 17:41

Oops meant another ❤️ not 🥵

daisiesandpeonies · 24/08/2019 17:42

Ffs ❤️ not 🎉or🥵 fat fingers

Fivebyfive2 · 24/08/2019 17:47

@daisiesandpeonies, ha ha I'm glad I'm not the only one who makes emoji typos 😂 Definitely sit in the shade, sounds like a good call to me! Xx

@MrsEG, that sounds awesome, glad you had a lovely time 🙂 Did you catch the chicken parade?! Xxx

LokiCat · 24/08/2019 19:49

So, I said yesterday that I'm feeling slightly less worried now that I've passed 5 weeks and today I had the a tiny bit of brown spotting mixed with my CM and my only symptoms (sore boobs) have disappeared unless I poke them (and even that is very slight). So frustrating that it can't be just an easy journey and I'm not able to just enjoy this time.. 😞

@Lozzlepop very pleased to see you here! Have everything crossed that this is a healthy pregnancy for you xx

@Fivebyfive2 how lovely of your brother and SIL to get you so much stuff!

@Delilah7 you're not horrible at all! Everyone deserves a break and it doesn't mean that you love Ethan any less. Be kind to yourself lovely. I hope you feel better soon xx

@cupcakesandglitter sorry to hear you've had a few rough days, hope you're feeling better xx

Delilah7 · 24/08/2019 20:22

@cupcakesandglitter thank you hun. I just feel awful for feeling like that. Xxx

@BostonFern it just felt weird leaving him for a night but it did me the world of good for me and my OH. We finally done the deed since I've had him lol xx

@BabySquid thank you. Defo easier said than done xxx

@Fivebyfive2 thank you lovely. It really does take a village. I've got amazing support. Other half is so tired too so has sort of switched off abit recently which is hard :( cxx

@MrsEG thank you hun. It is defo harder than I ever anticipated!!! Xxx

@daisiesandpeonies thank you honey xxxx

@LokiCat ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bettythecat · 24/08/2019 22:37

@Delilah7 I'm so sorry to hear you're going through such a hard time. Well done for speaking out about it rather than letting it fester and for getting some help. Lean on family and friends as much as you can and need to. I'm sure your hormones are all over the place still so will be responsible for a lot of what you're feeling.

@LokiCat the first few weeks are such an anxious time. Keep in eye on the spotting and try to keep busy.

@BabySquid urgh I know exactly how you feel with clothes. I'm 16+5 and most of my normal clothes don't fit me but I don't have a proper bump yet. I think I'm going to buy a few maternity things anyway though because there's no point getting anything non-maternity and I just want to feel comfortable and to have something I can actually put on in the morning.

Delilah7 · 25/08/2019 02:49

@Bettythecat thank you honey. I will do xxx hope you're well

Lozzlepop · 25/08/2019 08:53

Morning!

Thank you for the warm welcome ☺️

@Fivebyfive2 thank you, oh my goodness I can’t believe you are almost at your 20 week scan that’s flown in, congratulations are you going to find out what you are having?

@MrsEG thank you so much ☺️ how are you getting on?

@Delilah7 as some of the other ladies have said a diagnosis is the first step to getting the support you need, you are doing an amazing job!

@Jessikka thank you! How are you doing?

@BostonFern thanks old cycle buddy ☺️ How are you getting on?

@BabySquid thank you so much, hope you survived the wedding or managed to sneak away early?

@LokiCat hi 👋🏻 so nice to be over on this thread, just hoping all goes well! Symptoms do come and go so I’m trying not to worry about them at this stage!

It’s ana absolutely glorious morning here which makes a change so I’m getting my washing out and then we are off out for the day! Hope everyone has a fab Sunday!!

BabySquid · 25/08/2019 08:55

@LokiCat I had a little spotting earlier on, mainly after sex so we took it easy for a while and all is still well, try not to dwell on it or google!!

Looking forward to a nice walk along the river in Skipton today followed by chippy or ice cream 😋 anyone got plans for the abnormally sunny hot bank hols??

Jessikka · 25/08/2019 09:12

Im ok thanks @lozzlepop! Few days of nausea this week but woke up today and my usual sore boobs are sore...but not as horrendous as they usually are. I much prefer them in agony so I feel like things are normal. My weird little way of control I think ha!
Was googling at 5am if it's normal for them to reduce in pain and then realised what the hell I was doing and pulled myself together lol.
How are you?

Oh and ladies IT WORKED! NO TOILET BREAKS BETWEEN 10 AND 5. I slept like a log!! Yesss to new pillows and being exhausted from the night before. Winner!!!

MrsR16 · 25/08/2019 11:08

Hey ladies, I've been busy the past couple of days so looks like I've missed out on lots! Apologies for the essay 😂

@GemmaJen oh goodness, induced next week? That's so exciting for you! Nursery looks gorgeous 😊

@stormtrooperjulian your kitchen looks absolutely amazing!

@MrsEG great to hear your friend finally having good news!

@Jessikka glad to hear you had a better night last night! Waking up to pee isn't much fun, especially when you need all the sleep you can get at the moment!

@Lozzlepop huge congratulations lovely! Great to see you here 😊

@Delilah7 you are so amazing! You've obviously been struggling, but as the other ladies have said, at least now you're getting help! You're still an amazing mummy to Ethan and he'll love you just as much as you love him 😘

@BabySquid I hated that stage of not being able to be comfortable in anything - too big for my normal clothes but not enough for mat clothes! It will get there, trust me... 😂😂

@daisiesandpeonies how are you feeling after last night? It was very warm wasn't it?!?

@LokiCat I had 3 separate occasions of spotting in my first trimester. Baby's quite happily bouncing away at the moment! It's frustrating to not know that everything's ok, but the likelihood is that is really is! Old tissue is being got rid of, which leads to the spotting and the consequent heart attack of mummy through sheer panic(!)

I'm off to the ILs today - it's my BIL's birthday so we're having a BBQ. I'm not looking forward to seeing their dog though... I love dogs but this one is so energetic and always jumping up. I'm worried she'll catch bump in the wrong way! Silly, I know... on the plus side, I bought lots of baby bits yesterday! Including a Tiny Tatty Teddy hooded towel (£5 at Asda if anyone's interested) xx

Bettythecat · 25/08/2019 12:11

Saw this lovely chest of drawers which would be nice for a nursery and on offer for £139. Bensons for Beds if anyone is interested! X

Catching up with TTC #1, thread 6!
thumper59 · 25/08/2019 14:15

@Lozzlepop congratulations!! I have everything crossed for you 💕💕

ELW85 · 25/08/2019 17:36

Afternoon all!

This lodge is amazing; we’ve pretty much put our phones away and just done nothing. It’s been SO required!

@LokiCat - how are you feeling? Symptoms fluctuating is scary, and I still freak out now, but try to stay positive and remember that a lot of the ladies here have had the same and all is well :)
I’m 9+5 now so I know I’ve slipped through the net, scan-wise. I might try calling her tomorrow.

Delilah7 · 25/08/2019 18:00

@Lozzlepop thank you hun xxx

@MrsR16 thank you lovely. I hope so xxxx
