@Purplefig - Defo not a pro, but ask away! After pushing prams/buggies for 13 years I do have my favourites!
Will you have to get a bus/car or just walking to places with baby?
I love the Uppababy Cruz or Vista - although have had more experience with Cruz - smooth pushing, good hood with sun visor, little flap so you can see them when they are world facing, can parent face, adjustable handles, HUGE basket, bassinet is suitable for overnight sleeping (it was 2 years ago for sure and I would be surprised if it’s not now) does fit on buses
Downside - it’s more for city then all over terrain, it can be quite big to fold up and out into a boot - but it’s easy to do
I also like the city mini jogger - although can parent face it’s only when the baby is in a baby carrier, it’s lightweight, good basket, can fold down one handed (if your on a bus etc) can lay down completely flat and almost rocks baby/child to sleep and off the top of my head has a good weight limit (I believe it’s 18kg and a lot will stop at 15kg)
Downside: don’t think handle is adjustable (can be a issue if you and your partner are really different height) not parent facing once out of carrycot.
They were the buggies I was going to get if twins were a singleton, but they had other ideas!
Just a heads up - depending on how much your push your buggy (3/4 hours a day or just 20 mins a day) check the warranty of the buggy - according to John Lewis that although you have a year (or two depending on buggy type) the wheels are only 6 months 🤨 so may be worth paying for a extended warranty if it covers the wheels.
It must be a new thing as before it’s been at least a year on all buggies including the wheels.
Also it’s worth checking if there is a problem
With the buggy and it has to be sent off - will the shop (if you buy in person) give you a replacement whilst you don’t have your buggy (it will be a rubbish one though!) and where the buggy would go to be fixed - Mountain buggy for instance is based in NZ but they have a workshop in the UK, However some brands don’t and will send the buggy off to Europe where it will be fixed - which then could take about 12-16 weeks (have been there once with a buggy and the replacement was terrible!)
Sorry a lot of info there but you tend to use a buggy till the summer after they turn 3 in my experience - even if its for day trips to carry things in and then for them to have a nap! In the winter you just want to get to A to B quickly but in the summer you don’t mind if they want to walk
