38+6 weeks pregnant- anyone fancy joining me in a babywatch thread?!

39 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago and have been getting tonnes of low down pressure and sharp stabbing pains in my cervix ever since, but no progress.

This is baby 2 for us. DD is just turned 2. I’m impatient for baby to arrive but also desperate to savour the last few days (weeks Confused) with my little girl.

Anyone in a similar position and want to join me on bsbywatch?

@Triskaidekaphilia congratulations! And well done Smile. So so sorry to hear youve not been able to see her for such a long time, that must be so hard. I hope you are reunited very soon!

@Triskaidekaphilia congratulations lovely! So sorry to hear about your baby, have they said when you’ll be back together? Well done momma :)

@RoseReally what is happening with you?

I gave birth to a 9lb baby boy on Tuesday. Just got home today. Ended up with forceps, episiotomy and several tears. Baby in Scubu as he has an infection! But so, so in love :)

Hope everyone is ok!!

Thank you everyone. I was wheeled in to see her not long after my last post, then she was brought to us at 6pm. It was a long time to be apart but hasn't affected breast feeding or our bonding, and gave DH a chance to do more for her at the beginning. He's already better at nappies than me Grin

Congratulations @Fae1989! They still haven't ruled out an infection for ours yet so she has to go to back to nicu for antibiotics 3 times a day and some tests. I needed a blood transfusion and they're still monitoring my iron but I'm hoping we can both go home soon.

Sorry for late update. Started the latent phase of labour last Wednesday afternoon, baby (DD2) finally born on Saturday morning. Was a bit dramatic at the end and suddenly looked like I would need a section, but thankfully they managed to get her out with forceps instead. She weighed exactly the same as big sister, 7lb.

I'm very sore still but other than that fine. Hope everyone else is doing well too!
