I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23
Baby #1 (pregnancy #2)
EDD 1st April

Thanks @timepoor the list is a great idea!

hopefulowl · 31/07/2019 23:02

@ShirleyPhallus I feel the same, symptoms are awful but reassuring!

@PeachesMc Could you just book a normal GP appointment and see what they say? It seems to be different in every area as to what the process is. I was just booked in with the midwife but not until 20th August, seems like forever to wait. I feel like you're kind of on your own at this early stage as no one tells you anything specific. Not sure about being prescribed things, I'm just taking regular pregnancy vitamins which I hope is adequate. Having to wait until 6 weeks to even book an appointment seems a bit crazy though.

PeachesMc · 31/07/2019 23:19

@hopefulowl thanks ! yes that is probably what I should have done but I'm very unassertive and always just do what I'm told Blush will try to book tomorrow but im going on holiday next week so probably can't see anyone until week 7 now anyway lol! Good luck to those trying to keep the secret on holiday! I've prewarned my holiday buddy I'm not drinking but will probably tell him what's up on the flight out because it's just so suspicious!

Myhooversucks · 01/08/2019 00:23

Hi ladies.... can I join too? Due date AP says 5th April
No symptoms yet other than my boobs have finally returned after 6 years (last pregnancy) This is pregnancy number 5.... and very unexpected. Absolutely petrified if I’m honest. Congratulations to everyone in here, seems quite a few already ☺️

I'm sorry. I know I sound stupid. How do I work out my edd!?

1st day of my LMP was the 30/6 or 1/7

I feel like a bit silly. Sorry!

Myhooversucks · 01/08/2019 08:28

@newgirl89
Google due date calculator
My LMP was the 30/6 and it’s giving me the 5th xx

BristolBear · 01/08/2019 09:02

@Timepoor great idea with the list, thank you. And you're not alone with the name, I'll probs be switching my name back in a few weeks.

@Islandermum and it begins! I'm starting to feel more nauseous each day. Brushing my teeth this morning was... Interesting 😅

Taxicus · 01/08/2019 09:03

Errmm. First pregnancy here. Decided to stop not TTC this winter but haven't been actively TTC. Age gap here, so time was marching on for us. Got a BFP Monday but knew for about a week before test.

A bit Blush here as typical me, don't know the dates of my last AF. I definately had my period on 21/6 but no clue if that was the first day !?

Wicketywick · 01/08/2019 09:32

@taxicus I wouldn't worry too much. Take 21st June as the date of your FMP for now. They'll likely change your due date after your dating scan (when you're around 12 weeks). Congrats!

spottygymbag · 01/08/2019 09:32

Hi all, officially joining the April group after a strong positive yesterday. I'm four weeks and EDD is April 8th which is also my mums birthday so it will be nice to share that info with her soon. Haven't told hubby yet as I'm going to do it with almond croissants, coffee and a little card this weekend. This is number 2 for us so pretty excited 😊
Manageable nausea and some light headedness. Still feeling pretty chipper and managed to run into work this morning.
Love this thread because I'm so excited but can't tell anyone yet- it's nice to share it!

eskimod · 01/08/2019 09:44

@PeachesMc you should be fine taking normal pregnancy vitamins if your BMI is below 30. I think at this stage the only prescription you would need is for more folic acid (5mg) if your bmi is 30+. I was also unable to see a doctor or midwife but knew my bmi was high so I made a prescription request (similar to repeat prescription request) and the doctor had agreed and signed it after only one day. I went to pick it up from the surgery and took it to the pharmacy. Easy peasy. Enjoy your holiday!

mumof1hants · 01/08/2019 10:10

Hi, can I join please? Congrats to all the bfps! I got mine this morning and an 4+6. Due 3rd April.

This is no.2 for me, dc1 is almost 2yrs. I got an early scan with her at 7-8 weeks and want to do the same again. It's such a worrying time that any reassurance is a help!

For those who are asking about when to tell work, I told mine at about 6 weeks last time because they needed to do a risk assessment. I guess it may differ depending on what kind of job you're in. I work somewhere different now and am worried that I'm nowhere near a toilet!! Joys of pregnancy!! X

EjWil · 01/08/2019 10:20

Hi everyone!
Congratulations to you all.
Can I please join because I am going crazy not telling anyone, it doesn't feel real.

I am only 4 weeks tomorrow, giving me a due date 10th April. I was shopping in Superdrug on Tuesday and strongly wanted to buy a pregnancy test, I couldn't get it out of my head!

This will be my 3rd, my other two boys are 3 and 1 so this household will be crazy!

How is everyone feeling today

EjWil · 01/08/2019 10:22

@mumof1hants I also want to get an early scan at 7/8 weeks because I did with my last two but dh doesn't want to. So annoying.

Definitely going to get one though for peace of mind

mumof1hants · 01/08/2019 10:33

@EjWil I think we get to overrule the men on this one because we have to carry the baby for 9mnths now! (This will be my excuse for everything from now on).

Wow your house will be crazy! But lovely too ☺️ x

albus55 · 01/08/2019 10:35

Due date of April 1st over here with my second. Only symptom is a stitch like pain in my right side and bloating, but other than that feeling good! Can't help but worry that everything's alright though, anyone else?

Got a big family holiday in a few weeks so going to have to try and hide it which I'm not looking forward to, any tips?

mumof1hants · 01/08/2019 10:39

Congrats @albus55!

I don't have many tips other than what's already been discussed... pretend to by a Spirit but just the mixer? Or alcohol free wine?

I have the problem that my best friend is having a big party on the 10th Aug & we're all supposed to be crashing at hers. I'm going to have to make up some excuse but it'll be obvious! I also have a spa day planned this month..., how can I avoid the jacuzzi?!! X

eskimod · 01/08/2019 11:02

@albus55 I feel the same. Should I be worried? I'm 6 weeks and the only symptoms I have is an occasional pain and sore breasts when I take my bra off. Nothing else really, no nausea.

I have dodged a few booze nights so far- said I had to baby sit, couldn't afford taxis (I live in the sticks) so need to drive. I also said I was going g to drive and not drink at a family bbq because I was on a diet.
I'm going to wedding in a couple weeks but it's quite far away so I'm going to drive and use that as my excuse. I'm going to a local festival tomorrow and Saturday but luckily only going with my OH so shouldn't need to make any excuses. The big one though is I'm going to a festival down in Devon in a few weeks and my cousins and aunty will be there. I have a bottle of that no alcohol gin- I'm seriously considering replacing the label 😂😞

Myhooversucks · 01/08/2019 13:01

@eskimod that is an amazing idea... watch the others drink your non alcoholic gin and get “drunk” 🤣
Where in Devon is the festival? I live in N Devon ☺️
To everyone worrying about not having symptoms! Generally they kick in around 6 weeks, some don’t get any at all and some get them before. Last time I was pregnant my symptoms disappeared altogether at 6 weeks.... I know it’s hard but please don’t worry. Unless you have severe pain or bleeding.
I’ve got to try and hide this from my other 4 children, 17,15,8 and 6!! I sit pray the morning sickness does stay away for quite some time.
Xx

eskimod · 01/08/2019 13:09

@Myhooversucks It's in Ottery St Mary, it's called beautiful days festival. I can't wait!
I actually haven't tried my fake gin yet, I hope it actually tastes like gin or I'm busted! 😂
I'm hiding this from everyone! Not telling a soul 🤐

ShirleyPhallus · 01/08/2019 13:23

@mumof1hants re the jacuzzi, you could say you have thrush?!

mumof1hants · 01/08/2019 15:15

Haha @eskimod so funny if they do try have some of ur gin 😂

Oh gosh @Myhooversucks. That's a tricky one, especially with the older kids! Fingers crossed for u.

@ShirleyPhallus Yes!!! Great idea! 🙈 never before will I be pleased to say that sentence! I wonder if they'll twig when I don't go in the sauna either tho. Oh well.. not much I can do! X

PeachesMc · 01/08/2019 18:18

Thank you for your help @eskimod ! And please tell us how that gin tastes 😂

2ndtimelucky418 · 01/08/2019 19:21
