I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

I'm on holiday with pregnancy insomnia. Welcome to all the newbies with bfps

My symptom spotting paranoia has continued and I've done an IC test everyday to try and put my mind at rest. It's bonkers as I have had cramps nausea and really sore massive veiny breasts and I know I am still pregnant. 5 weeks today - I keep checking the miscarriage data link further up the post watching it optimistically decrease with every day. (Thanks to the pp for this) I never had this worry with my first 2 DC. I was 30 and 34 when I was PG with them and it never crossed my mind that I would miscarry. I think it's due to my age now - 41.

I've been looking into the NIPT and am definitely going to have this done. Are any of you considering this?

newgirl89 · 13/08/2019 13:52

GP wasn't concerned. Thanks any of you for your advice!!
Really surprised not one of you took two seconds to reassure me. But gutting really.

22dad2be · 13/08/2019 13:58

Dad to be here, my lo is due 1 day after my birthday and 2 days after his grandmother's birthday. Super exciting I'd love to share a birthday with my baby

mumof1hants · 13/08/2019 14:09

@newgirl89 I actually didn't see your message sorry. I would've said best to check with midwife/gp but they always say sex is fine in pregnancy. Glad everything's ok.

AnxietyMama · 13/08/2019 14:10

@newgirl89 I think there's a lot going on in this thread so takes people awhile to get to everything!
Only thing I would've said is, due to the change in hormones, could you have been abit drier than normal? Sorry there's no pleasant way to say that! Sometimes when my DH is abit eager he forgets I need to be warmed up more! X

mumof1hants · 13/08/2019 14:11

@aprilfoolsbaby insomnia on holiday is not ideal! Hope ur having a nice time tho.
I'm not having any extra tests apart from what's offered on nhs. I've heard of nipt but haven't considered it. What is included as extra?

@22dad2be Congrats!

AnxietyMama · 13/08/2019 14:12

Got my BFP on Sunday last week, will be 6 weeks on Thursday and due around the 9th April. This will be second and my little boy is going to be two in October. Slightly worried about how I'm going to deal with two children but I'm in it now so, gotta deal with it!

mumof1hants · 13/08/2019 15:25

@AnxietyMama you're exactly the same as me! My dc will be two in Oct too. I'm already getting mum guilt and baby's nowhere near here yet!!

Madaleinerw · 13/08/2019 15:50

Afternoon girls and one guy Smile.

Just a quick post to say I have found a cure for my nausea! Albeit temporary but a cure nonetheless!

I tried a ginger shot and for almost 2 hours I felt almost human! It was very hard to bring myself to drink it but I'm so thankful I did!

Give it a go as it gave me my first couple of hours of no nausea in days and I'm so grateful!

Happy Tuesday Grin!

lilyj13 · 13/08/2019 16:14

@Madaleinerw where is it from? I'm ok at the min just tired at 5+3 but just Incase

Madaleinerw · 13/08/2019 16:18

@lilyj13 it was just from Tesco. I think it was mixed with mandarin juice.

I think you can get them from most places now though.

Glad you're not feeling to bad and I hope you don't get any nausea! I had mine right from 4+2 so I'm hoping it'll ease off earlier!

lilyj13 · 13/08/2019 16:31

@Madaleinerw I had hyperemisis white my 2 girls was in hospital all the time it was the worst thing ever! I even wrote a letter to myself not to do it again but 1 more and hoping for a boy this time. I think girls let off more hormones and cause really bad sickness.

Madaleinerw · 13/08/2019 16:35

@lilyj13 oh no you poor thing! That must have been horrible! Fingers crossed you don't get it this time round!

Funnily enough I actually said to my partner last night to not let me be pregnant again haha! I'm sure that won't stick though!

CodlingMoth · 13/08/2019 18:11

Anyone else get a PM about a fb group? I know there is one already which I'll join when I'm past my mc danger zone. It was from a username I don't recognise.

Hmm hate unsolicited pms.

@CodlingMoth yes I did! Bizarre I thought x

AnxietyMama · 13/08/2019 19:26

@mumof1hants I said to my DH the other day that I'm worried I'll either love this baby more or I'll love my little boy more! I do feel guilty for my LB as he's obviously been on his own for so long and now I'm turning his world upset down Confused

ttc19 · 13/08/2019 19:53

@Sorbfsiabs I think I've sent you a Facebook message x

Decksgirl · 13/08/2019 20:02

It's not spam, it's me. Some will join some won't. If you don't want to join, ignore it 😊

EjWil · 13/08/2019 20:04

@AnxietyMama just thought I would let you know how I felt because I wish someone told me how you would feel. I have two boys (18 months apart) pregnant with my third. I feel absolutely fine about bringing another baby in but when I was pregnant with my second I felt the guilt bad. Sounds bad but I felt guilty every day thinking what have I done, I am going to ruin my eldest life and when he came I still found it hard a couple of days after but every day after day 3 of feeling even more guilt, got better and better. And now they are 3 and 1 and the best of friends!
He doesn't even remember a time without him and you will find the same, congratulations and it will be fine in the end 😊

Sorry if it was long!!

AnxietyMama · 13/08/2019 20:43

@EjWil thank you! I really appreciate that. I know that I'm over thinking a lot and that after a couple days of this baby being here it'll be the new normal. He's always going to be my first born and my first love ❤️ just seems so odd they'll be another baby around! Going to take some getting used to x

mumof1hants · 13/08/2019 21:04

@EjWil thank u, that's reassuring to know.

Sounds crazy but I get worried something bad will happen to me in labour... I had quite a bad experience last time... I worry this is my choice.

Madaleinerw · 13/08/2019 21:47

Anybody from the Hampshire area know when your midwife usually gets in contact?

I'm 7 weeks and just want to prep for how long my wait is.

I didn't get contact until week 11 last time round which was 2 weeks after finding out I was going to miscarry. (Used babybond for a scan)

Thanks X

MooMummy12 · 13/08/2019 22:09

Mind if I jump on? Found out I'm pregnant a few days ago ☺️
According to Ovia app I'm due 15th April! ☺️
I'm 25 & have a little girl who turned 2 yesterday x

AnnaP07 · 13/08/2019 22:23

Hello, my first post and first pregnancy at 35.
I found out last weekend and I'm now 6 weeks and 5 days, due April 2nd.
I'm so full of nerves and the first appointment with the midwife can't come fast enough.
