I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.

@J43mum use yourduedate.com and it'll tell you

@mumof1hants I have tried ginger biscuits, I will check to see about the ginger stem but the ones I have haven't worked. I've also tried sickness wristbands but no luck Sad

mumof1hants · 11/08/2019 20:46

@Madaleinerw sorry I couldn't be more help x

Madaleinerw · 11/08/2019 21:29

@mumof1hants that's ok! Hopefully it'll ware off soon. Just crazy that it started so early I guess!

How are you feeling?

Madaleinerw · 11/08/2019 21:34

@Makingawish oh my goodness I think I was speaking to you on my thread of ttc? So happy to see you on here too Smile!!

Makingawish · 11/08/2019 21:38

@Madaleinerw oh yes! Hi!! 🤗 lovely to see you here too! Hope you're doing well so far x

Madaleinerw · 11/08/2019 21:43

@Makingawish currently feel like I've got the hangover from hell Sad apart from that I'm absolutely delighted! How about you?

mumof1hants · 11/08/2019 21:44

@Madaleinerw fingers crossed! I've been getting headrush when I stand up the last couple of days but that's it. If it carries on I will get a docs app because last time I had really low blood pressure. Could be the same again.

Madaleinerw · 11/08/2019 21:47

@mumof1hants oh it's a horrible feeling isn't it. I have naturally low blood pressure so didn't think anything of the head rushes but should it be something I should keep an eye on?

lilyj13 · 11/08/2019 21:58

B6 helps to level out hormones I've been taking it, 5 weeks 1 days so far have no nausea just sore boobs

Madaleinerw · 11/08/2019 22:02

@lilyj13 are you taking this in supplement form? If so can you recommend which ones?

mumof1hants · 11/08/2019 22:10

@Madaleinerw maybe yeah. When you see the midwife each time they do blood pressure anyway but I'll definitely mention it. I had lbp my whole pregnancy last time then at the end it shot through the roof!! X

nicoletia · 11/08/2019 22:21

Has anybody experienced light brown spotting in their early pregnancy? I haven't been contacted by my midwife yet and can't get an appointment with my GP until Thursday 😩 is it something I should be concerned about? I'm 5 +1.

mumof1hants · 11/08/2019 22:50

@nicoletia the advice is usually that unless it's fresh (bright red) blood or accompanied by cramping then there's no need to worry. I'd keep an eye on it and if it's still happening in a couple of days go to the gp? X

Jessem29 · 11/08/2019 23:09

Hi! Is anyone else very anxious. I am normally quite calm but since finding out I am so anxious about having a miscarriage (I mc in may so I am thinking that's why I have the fear)

Has anyone got any tips to keep calm and busy during this time, we only found out yesterday and are 4 weeks..so feels like a long time away. Thinking of booking an early scan as I am due to go on holiday at 9 weeks and I dont think I will relax! Please tell me I am not the only stressed one haha!

Congratulations to everyone xx

lilyj13 · 11/08/2019 23:21

@Madaleinerw I just went and bought it from Holland and Barrett Vit B6 only about £4 it's defo worth buying

MOGMOGMOG85 · 12/08/2019 06:03

Hi @Jessem29 - as far as I can tell from here plus my own experience it's very very normal to obsess over miscarriage when you first find out! I've known for a week now and it already feels like a lifetime! I actually drove myself insane for that entire time just obsessing and overthinking, I couldn't switch off from it! I've reached a point now where it's unsustainable, plus I'm having some mild symptoms which is putting me more at ease (I was so impatient for symptoms and wanted to be vomming everywhere etc, I've finally figured out that everyones symptoms will be different). This is my first pregnancy so I don't have many tips, but I'd say firstly accept your reasons for being anxious (I'm so sorry about your MC and that totally explains it! For me it was a long long time conceiving and there were reasons implantation is difficult for me so I had pretty much lost hope by the time I got my BFP and found it hard to shake that negative attitude I had from that). Give yourself time to be anxious and obsessive and be kind to yourself about it, but when you are ready to accept and trust what is happening give yourself a big push to be happier and enjoy it. For me I found myself feeling depressed yesterday after all that worry, and I realised that constant worrying + mega hormones are not a good mix! You may not be able to think of much else at first but eventually you should make the effort to focus on other things again, work, cooking, other people, read a good book, learn about something non-pregnancy related etc!!

Again I'm really sorry for your miscarriage, but you have no reason to think the same thing will happen again, even though it's totally natural you would worry about it! These things are so much down to chance and the specific embryo. For me it's been really painful to get my hopes up after a long long period of trying and gradually losing all hope, and a part of me still thinks it can't happen for me, which is why I'm worrying overly about miscarriage (and lately an anembyronic pregnancy) but I have literally no logical reason to worry about that, it's all about how I'm feeling.

I hope that was helpful! Congratulation and I'll cross my fingers for you, and for me!

xxxx

Makingawish · 12/08/2019 07:46

@Madaleinerw I have days where I wake up feeling really groggy but other than that I feel ok! Tiny bit crampy on and off but nothing out of the ordinary so far 🤞

Wilson1990 · 12/08/2019 08:26

How far gone is everyone? X

Carysmatic · 12/08/2019 08:28

Pregnancy fatigue + insomnia - caffeine = exhaustion like no other. Who else?

@Wilson1990 I'm 5weeks +4 today

Lizim · 12/08/2019 08:44

@Wilson1990 I am 6 weeks tomorrow Smile so not sure if I'm expecting nausea at some point this week.

@Carysmatic I am the exact same! Fatigue and insomnia. I had a really tight stomach for the first week after finding out too but that has eased off now. I am also struggling to eat. I am not nauseous, I just dont feel hungry. Has anyone else had that this early on?

Carysmatic · 12/08/2019 08:47

@Lizim yeah I'm defiantly off my food, anything sweet really turns my stomach as well!

mumof1hants · 12/08/2019 08:52

@Wilson1990 I'm 6+3... it's like time is standing still though!

@Lizim I haven't been very hungry either! X

Madaleinerw · 12/08/2019 09:22

@Wilson1990 6+3 and feel like I've been 6 weeks pregnant for 6 months Grin

I want to book an early scan but thinking of holding off until 8 weeks. That way there should most definitely be a heartbeat and if not, I'll know it's gone wrong. I found out about my mmc last time from an early scan around 8 weeks but it still took 5 weeks for my body to let go. So I'm super nervous about having the scan but, I'd rather know sooner I think! I'm going to the doctors today so may express my concerns and see I they'll help!

Makingawish · 12/08/2019 09:24

@Wilson1990 I'm only 3 + 6 weeks 😞 no real symptoms yet really x

newgirl89 · 12/08/2019 09:51

Help please!
Sorry if this is TMI just you ladies are the only people I can really talk to!
So I'm 6wks today.
Last night me and DP DTD. It was a bit painful / almost burny if that makes sense. Didn't last long 😂 but when I wiped it was a tinge of pink. DP said he noticed it too.
No cramping. No further spotting. Although it still feels a bit burny down there!
I have booked a GP appointment for later. Just wanted to see if any of you had any ideas?
I wasn't sure maybe thrush?
X
