I'm so excited to start this thread. Looks like I'll be due 1st April from my ovulation day (28th July by last period)!

I'm absolutely over the moon after a MC in May.
Bring on the April Babies!

Age 23

@Emiliemoo
I had faint lines on a test when I first started testing because my hormone levels weren't high enough as it was so soon after implantation.
They grew darker as I kept testing as my hormone levels grew.
When I test now (I do it to make sure I'm still pregnant- crazy I know) the line is so dark it actually pulls the colour from the test line because my hormone levels are much stronger now

@MindyStClaire

Thank you would appreciate that!! I'm only early days but the only thing that worries me about the whole pregnancy is the birth! I know a lot of people say it's easier second time round but I don't think I could go through what I went through last time again!! At least with a c section I can sit down!! X

mummy0207 · 10/08/2019 00:32

@eskimod this made me giggle!! I did 30 plus tests with my first pregnancy to make sure I was pregnant still!! Only done 2 this time (so far) ☺️

newgirl89 · 10/08/2019 05:01

Welcome newbies and congratulations on your BFPs.

Have just spent the last 20mins catching up! (Pregnancy insomnia is fun 🤦‍♀️)

@Islandermum how lovely to see your little bean and great news about the heartbeat. We have ours booked for 24/8 will be 7+5(ish) time is going very slowly!!

@HattieRabbit ... 11. Without a doubt. I would have lost my sh*t. I got grumpy with DP last week because he didn't take the food waste out. So when I put my morning tea bag in the bin I was hit with last nights salmon along with red onion and banana. I think they are just oblivious sometimes. Or they think we are exaggerating 😂

I'm lucky in the way that I haven't been physically sick yet. But do feel nauseas constantly. Plus feel kind of hungry all the time.

Agree with all of you about how tricky it is to cover being pregnant. We have social events 4 weekends in a row. With some of the same people every week. It's almost impossible!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend x

Carysmatic · 10/08/2019 05:29

@newgirl89 reassuring to see someone else suffering from the insomnia! I thought I was going mad but omg I'm just not sleeping! Before becoming pregnant I didn't even realise this was a thing! I thought in the early days of pregnancy you slept more but I'm not sure how much more I can handle, I've had maybe 3 solid hours last night, maybe less and I have to get up for a 13 hour shift in 15mins. Along with feeling sick, I'm not sure how I'm going to get through the day. Please tell me this doesn't last the whole pregnancy? I sometimes get sleepless nights like this with my period and even started noticing it around ovulation so I guess I should have seen it coming, hormone shifts for me obviously mean insomnia but I'm sooooo tired! 😫

MOGMOGMOG85 · 10/08/2019 07:11

@Carysmatic oh no not sleeping sounds no fun! I didn't sleep my first night as i was too shocked, but have been ok since, and it must just make all the other symptoms so much harder, particularly at work! Mb the worrying isn't helping too? You're a similar stage along with me, and have known the same amount of time, maybe we should take a pledge to force ourselves to relax a bit? I know I'm gonna go mad if I keep overthinking all the time. I know meditation is a good thing to try (haven't done it yet but keep promising myself I will!) as it just empties your mind. Body scan meditation is an easy way to do it as you just focus on one part of your body at a time, as well as being aware of the room you're in and noises around you etc - I find it very calming and puts me back in touch with myself, I usually have a sense of respect and happiness with myself after spending some time doing that. Or just other hardcore methods of distraction, binging loads of tv box-sets, cooking really complicated recipes, anything so that you're doing something else and your life isn't all about pregnancy! I live near an estuary and I find walking to sit on the pier and look at the seagulls and starlings really takes me out of myself, momentarily! Good luck on your shift today and try to take it easy if possible! If it helps I was driving home from work yesterday (its an hours commute each way for me, and a physical manual job for which I have to wake up at 5.30am every day!) and the tiredness hit me, I felt like I was going to drop asleep and I was struggling to concentrate on the road so just drove really slowly and carefully. I also worried about how I'm going to cope with this first trimester if the tiredness affects me like that when I'm driving! I think we will cope, somehow, and it is only a couple more months of this stage xxx

@MOGMOGMOG85 yeah I was doing some meditation techniques last night but nothing seemed to work, I'd drift off for a bit then jolt awake again. Morning sickness has kicked in this morning and I have vomited twice! Only like a small amount but still horrible. Feel so sick still, I can't see today being a good day. Must be difficult having such a long commute, mine only takes 10mins, any longer and I think I'd be snoozing at the wheel! I feel like I should tell someone at work that I have morning sickness but it's so early and I really didn't want to tell anyone yet. But if I'm going to be running to the loo all the time...

lilyj13 · 10/08/2019 08:40

I'm 5 weeks today and I'm feeling ok, feel sometimes a bit nausea but I have tablets on stand by from the doctors

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 10/08/2019 10:04

I’m using the headspace app which I think is quite good just to promote a bit of calm

CodlingMoth · 10/08/2019 10:41

OMFG how the fuck am I supposed to host a house full of people this afternoon? If I stand up for more than 15 minutes I get very lightheaded and start wretching. Couple that with the no alcohol everyone is going to know. We don't want anyone to know, especially our kids!
Wish me luck!!! (My birthday was great thanks, spent half the day in bed 😁)

@HattieRabbit 11/10 on the disapproval scale for Mr TwattieRabbit! Hope he pulls his finger out pronto! Your Mum sounds ace though.

@BristolBear how are you doing today?

Taryn90 · 10/08/2019 11:08

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind me joining. I've just this week found out I'm pregnant. I'm 4 weeks today and my partner and myself would love to book an early scan. The date we're looking at would make me 7+2 do you think this is too early? 😬 xx

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 10/08/2019 11:16

@Taryn90 my ivf clinic have booked a scan when is should be around 7+1 so you might be ok? X

shik20 · 10/08/2019 11:18

@Taryn90 we have ours booked 24th August and I'll be 7+3. They said to us anything after 7 is fine 😊

BristolBear · 10/08/2019 11:42

Hey @Islandermum @CodlingMoth thanks for checking in. I started getting quite bad pains but over more than just my abdomen and called the out of hours doctors line. First time I've ever done that and they were very helpful.

Sorry for the TMI but turns out I have caught a stomach bug which is causing havoc at.. both ends.. I haven't been off the loo all morning.

So, advised to get bed rest and plenty of water, but the doc who came out last night said with all the other symptoms it's very unlikely to be an issue as a direct result of the pregnancy and she also said it has affected quite a few people lately.

I should be feeling better in a couple of days, but she said that if the stomach pains don't subside within 24hrs (from last night) or I get any bleeding I need to get myself straight to the hospital.

As if I didn't feel rough enough already.. 😅

Thank you again for caring, this group is awesome xx

lilyj13 · 10/08/2019 11:53

@CodlingMoth how far are you gone?

lilyj13 · 10/08/2019 11:59

Just booked my early 6 week scan for next week how exciting

mumof1hants · 10/08/2019 14:35

Loving hearing about all the scans and can't wait to see more pics (if people choose to post them!). Mines booked for when I'll be 8+6 but I think I ovulated a week late so will be more like 7+6. I'm excited but anxious.

@BristolBear really not what u need but so glad it's nothing pg related. Get well soon!

@CodlingMoth Oh no! Can you just say ur not feeling 100% or will people then want to stay away from u?!

I have that party tonight and as of by fate dc1 was really sick in the night last night. Now I'm able to say I'm driving because I don't want a hangover with a poorly child. (Don't get me wrong I obviously wish she wasn't poorly but at least I'm not lying!)

Hope everyone else is ok!

Wilson1990 · 10/08/2019 15:03

Can’t wait to see everyone’s scans! X

EjWil · 10/08/2019 16:51
