Due in Feb 2020

I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

@ImMeantToBeWorking I was also due af on the 9th and tested on on the 5th and got my bfp! I have since tested three times 🙈 and I am getting strong positives still. I have used a calculator that has given me an EDD of 16th Feb.

I had a GP appointment today. Dr didn't ask me to retest as she was satisified that I had done enough and was satisfied with my reported symptoms.

I was told to make another appointment with the midwife and very surprised to hear it's so soon but I will be seeing the midwife on the 13th this week for my first appointment.

I also have very sore breasts, they are heavy and tender! Feeling quite nauseous in the mornings, a lot more tired than I usually am and I want to constantly eat bread!!!

Good luck to you and I hope your cramps get better.

Newbie21 · 10/06/2019 19:15

@tisonlymeagain how did the scan go?

My scan showed a gestational sac and yolk sac but not the foetal pole or heartbeat but consultant and nurse said it was early days and that I was progressing as they would expect. Also got HCG back and it has more than doubled - 6809 (from 2747) so very happy with that.

tisonlymeagain · 10/06/2019 19:23

Pretty much the same as yours @Newbie21

I had an external and internal scan. Everything is in the right place - gestational sac and yolk sac were very clear but it's too early to see a definite fetal pole or embryo as I am only 5w + 4days. My cervix is firmly closed and no sign or cause of any bleeding identified. I have a re-scan booked for 11 days time when an embryo and heartbeat should be clearly identifiable as I will be 7w + 1 day then. Going to be a long wait until then - oh and there's only one as far as they can see ha!

Feeling a bit more chilled for now!

Chocol4te

Hi all, currently 6w3d and nausea and sickness kicked in this weekend, it's awful, I can barely look at food, I cannot smell anything, everything makes me sick, I never thought will be this bad 🥺 P.S I think this is karma as a couple days ago I was saying I don't feel pregnant and I want symptoms! Now I have them and it's awful , really not feeling well

Newbie21 · 10/06/2019 20:12

@Chocol4te oh no, I hope the symptoms ease up soon.

@tisonlymeagain I have another scan first day we are back from hols - 1st July! I obviously don't want to wish the time away but at least it is something to feel ok about coming home to instead of thinking about work! I thought I was 5+1 but I am measuring 5+3. I really thought there was a possibility you were having twins, haha. Great that your HCG is nice and high. Fingers crossed for the next scan. I can't wait to be told there is a heartbeat, even though I've lost after that, it's still such an important milestone. Also, I haven't arranged by booking in. I should probably sort that out... I'm putting it off as I can't face having yet another book that doesn't get used but hopefully I can get a booking for the first or second week I am back.

tisonlymeagain · 10/06/2019 20:17

@Newbie21 I self-referred two weeks ago, not heard a thing about booking in yet! I know what you mean about heartbeat...it doesn't mean you're 'safe' but once the heartbeat is visible it does reduce the risk of mc.

After the scan in 11 days, all going well, I will be counting down to my next scan at 10+4 when I am having the Harmony test. I won't relax fully until I get the results from that. I'm still really worried because of my age.

Newbie21 · 10/06/2019 21:29

@tisonlymeagain yes I am going to book a harmony scan but I'm also putting that off as I found out about my first MMC at the harmony scan. It was a massive shock so anxiety will be going through the roof at that scan. I hope there comes a time in this pregnancy that I can enjoy it. I loved being pregnant with my DS.

pandaobsessed · 10/06/2019 22:47

@Newbie21 @tisonlymeagain glad to hear things are looking positive ladies :)

I have my first scan booked for the 22nd July when I shall be exactly 12 weeks (according to my app predictions). I am so anxious though and hope everything will be ok.

How many of you have paid for a private early scan?
I had one with my daughter at 9 weeks and it was such a reassurance. I want to book one this time but my other half thinks we should wait. He thinks we know the 12 weeks scan is coming up so should save the money.
I’m probably going to book one anyway, they’re only £70!
xx

S082018 · 11/06/2019 07:34

@OceanPearl I'm thinking of having an early private scan at 8 weeks! My sister did this and she was as anxious as me and said she felt so reassured after hearing baby's heartbeat and knowing the baby was growing fine. It's only £40 where I am so I am definitely going to look into it in a few weeks time!

Lucafritz · 11/06/2019 08:07

Due 4th Feb 2020 ❤
First time baby and no idea what im doing or where to start with everything Confused
Phoning to book in my 8 week appointment today and buying prenatal vitamins also been drinking tons of water to try combat the morning all day sickness Envy can't even face my morning tea and toast!!

tisonlymeagain · 11/06/2019 09:51

Haven't paid @OceanPearl but I would have. I had one yesterday at 5+4 and I've got one booked for 7+1, both NHS due to bleeding. Then I've got Harmony booked at 10+5

OceanPearl · 11/06/2019 17:12

I’m on the south cost and the cheapest scan around is £70. When I had my daughter 3 years ago they where about £50. I think I’ll end up booking one, I’m too impatient to wait until 12 weeks for the nhs one!

So strange in the first trimester that it doesn’t seem real and it’s not until you see that healthy heart beat on a scan then it becomes so real!

Is anyone feeling incredibly bloated? I remember this with my daughter, think I’m going to have to live in leggings until the bloat goes down!

What vitamins is everyone taking (apart from the obvious folic acid) x

Chocol4te · 11/06/2019 17:47

I'm taking Pregnacare Plus with Omega3

Morningchorus · 11/06/2019 18:35

I've booked a scan with ultrasound direct for £70 at mothercare.
I'm also takin Pregnacare, the omega 3 one, not max.

I've been so exhausted since my BFP, could sleep through the first trimester at this rate!

Hope you're all ok.

tisonlymeagain · 11/06/2019 18:46

Me too @Morningchorus I am WIPED!

MrsReade13 · 11/06/2019 19:16

Found out today I am expecting. Last period was 13th May so due date Feb 2020. I have been having bad lower right back pain today and slight cramps which feel like period cramps. Is this normal, I am really worried this is our first and we have been trying for years. Xx

Newbie21 · 11/06/2019 20:40

@MrsReade13 congratulations! And yes period like cramps and lower back pains are normal. If pains get really bad and/or they are accompanied by bleeding then call your GP but it sounds pretty normal. It's so annoying that the early symptoms are basically identical to pre-AF symptoms!

Lucafritz · 12/06/2019 06:30

What can you do to help morning sickness ? Mine is really debilitating at the moment i can't even stomach 90% of the foods im used to eating im living off fruit and salad

OceanPearl · 12/06/2019 09:14

I’ve not had morning sickness yet with this pregnancy but with my first pregnancy I had it horrendously! I used to have a small ice lolly as soon as I woke up and that seemed to help x

Kiskacsa · 12/06/2019 13:09

Think I’m joining the May-Feb bus, I ovulated 30th May and have had positive tests, so I think I’m in. So nervous - have had two chemicals so far, but they’ve disappeared sooner than this, so really keeping fingers crossed. Have booked doctor for 25th - when I should hopefully be nearly 6 weeks along. Is that about right?

Tinz862 · 12/06/2019 16:02

Hi, first timer here and going to be a first time mum. We’ve been trying for a couple of months now but today I got my BFP. I cannot believe it. Going to take a couple of more tests over the next few mornings before saying to the OH. Nice lead up to Father’s Day I think. Looks like I would also be due in February (valentines baby it it works out that way). I just wanted to say hi and good luck to everyone and happy pregnancies xxxx

MrsReade13 · 12/06/2019 16:20

Thanks for the response. Been really worried and this had put my mind at ease slightly. Is it usual for the pain to be one sided or could this be a sign of anything else?

larr7 · 12/06/2019 16:53

Hey! I'm getting on the Feb bus too! Although not entirely sure of my due date! I took clear blue test (plus 2 rapid response tests) on 3rd June which said 1-2 weeks. Im told your supposed to add 2 weeks to this??
I had my coil taken out after 5 years on April 24th and been waiting for a period so we can start ttc but it never came! We caught really quickly which I'm over the moon about!
I have a son already, he's about to turn 12 so big big age gap! Feel like I'm doing it all for the first time again. Very anxious about it all tbh.
I don't have my first appointment until the 17th July!!! It's already dragging! I've had really sore breasts and bloating and overwhelming tiredness. Feeling a little sick at times but nothing too bad. Just finding work hard as trying not to make it obvious something is up!

Congrats all!! X
