Due in Feb 2020

I found out last week (at two days past expected AF) that I'm pregnant - had a BFP on a First Response test. This is my third pregnancy since October last year. Works out that I'm due around the 3rd Feb 2020.

I've had two miscarriages - one in October 2018 at 12 weeks which resulted in surgery and another in February 2019, which ended at 6 weeks. I'm really quite nervous, but hopeful that this time is third time lucky. 🤞🏻🌈

Is anyone else due in Feb 2020? Are you having any symptoms?

Thanks @S082018

S082018 · 03/07/2019 07:10

@Gorillaandme Thanks it's reassuring to hear that not everybody has sickness! And you're right, here's me going on about it but if it ever comes then I'll probably dread ever wishing it upon myself!
I guess I will just have to wait until my early scan on Saturday and have my fingers crossed 😊

S082018 · 03/07/2019 07:11

@Gingerbreadlady1 🤞🏽 for you, hope we can get an update after your scan!

Gorillaandme · 03/07/2019 08:08

@S082018 good luck with the scan 😊 I got an early one at 8 weeks on 13th.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 03/07/2019 08:18

Aw, thanks @S082018. I’ll update later

ImMeantToBeWorking · 03/07/2019 15:54

@S082018 I am 7+3 today and I have had no sickness yet. A few foods have turned my stomach (made me gag at the thought of them) but no actual puking yet!! Best of luck with the scan on Saturday!!

@Gingerbreadlady1 how did your scan go??

S082018 · 03/07/2019 20:43

@ImMeantToBeWorking Snap! I'm 7+3 too. ☺️

@Gingerbreadlady1 I hope your scan went well today!

TryingVeryHard2015 · 03/07/2019 20:49

Hello ladies. I'll join you here if you don't mind. I'm 6 weeks today with my second. My DS will be 4 on Saturday. I had a chemical last month so I'm still uber hesitant.

When I get a bit further along I'll join the Facebook group. I have a fab group from my DS mumsnet group and would love to see similar again.

The sickness hit these past few days I ended up actually throwing up at work. Luckily no one was in the loos at the time so no awkward questions.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 04/07/2019 22:52

Hi ladies, thanks for asking. It didn’t go well, scan is 2 weeks behind my dates so I’m back next week for a follow up scan then a d&c thereafter. I’m heartbroken. Wishing you all the very best of luck with your pregnancies. Adore those babies, there a gift that will change your life xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 05/07/2019 12:20

Thanks all, been googling like mad for stories without positive outcomes but I know I’m kidding myself. Realistically due to my age this was a miracle & our last chance. So so sad. Enjoy it all ladies. Wishing you all the absolute best x

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:17

I’ve just logged back in and I’m so sorry @Gingerbreadlady1, take care of yourself xx

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:20

I wanted to ask if anyone has heard from their hospital for their nhs scan? I have just received the letter for my 12 week scan which is 12th August but I haven’t received anything else with regards to my first appointment with the midwife at around 8 weeks. Has anyone else had this issue? I read that you have an appointment with your midwife at around 8-10 weeks and then the scan between 12-14 weeks.
I have done a early scan too scared of it being a positive and then later getting a negative scan! Xx

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:21

Sorry that was meant to read- ‘I haven’t had an early scan’ xx

Gorillaandme · 08/07/2019 18:27

@Geo33 I was given the date for booking appointment at 8 weeks when I phoned up initially. Maybe phone the hospital you are due to give birth and ask.

Flowersandrainbows2017 · 08/07/2019 18:30

@Geo33 I was just about to post something-I rang my GP surgery tonight to ask when I should hear from the midwife as I’m now 8+4 and hadn’t heard (after GP said booking app 8-10 weeks ish)... receptionist asked someone ‘who would know’ [better than the GP] and said they won’t contact me until 10-12 weeks! So I guess maybe I’ll get my scan date through first as well?! Otherwise it’s pushing it to get scanned before the cut off for th tests etc and I’m also on holiday (sickness dependant) during week 11-12 Hmm
So I’m glad I’m not the only one, but I don’t know what to do about it either!! Any suggestions welcomed!

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:31

@S082018 I’ve also not had any nausea or sickness (touchwood), took another pregnancy test last week and I’m still pregnant! I’m getting a bit tired but that’s it. I agree it is strangely unsettling when you have no symptoms as I just want to know the baby is ok! 5 weeks until the nhs scan!

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:33

@Gorillaandme thanks for the quick reply!! I’ll give the GP and hospital a call tomorrow although I don’t think the GP can do much as they don’t have a midwife at the surgery which I was so upset to find out as I knew I would then have to pick a hospital without having talked it all through with the midwife first!

Geo33 · 08/07/2019 18:35

@Flowersandrainbows2017 sounds like we’re in the same boat! Fingers crossed you get the scan letter through ASAP and it’s as soon as you get back from holiday! Mine is 12 weeks & 4 days so may be you’ll be ok! I just really want to speak to a midwife about this all as my GP didn’t talk me through anything unfortunately- thanks ladies xx

Flowersandrainbows2017 · 08/07/2019 18:47

@Geo33 I hope you can get some answers soon. My GP was brilliant to be fair, but ultimately it’s the midwives who know the true answers to our questions! I think you can just self refer to the midwives where I am too, I saw a poster in the GP surgery waiting room, so I might see if I can get their number and just call to ask what to do re holiday if nothing else. But seems like I should just wait it out if the receptionist is to be believed! I hate hassling people!!!

S082018 · 09/07/2019 00:32

@Geo33 it is unsettling re symptoms but I had an early reassurance scan on Saturday which was positive! I feel loads better about it.
They measured me a little ahead on what I thought I was so I'm at 8+3 at the moment and have my booking appt with the midwife next week! No news about my 12 week scan although people I know have told me that I should hear about this after my booking appt next week so I'll have to sit tight and wait for that!
