I have 3DC so know the routine for me....with each of them I’ve had nagging lower back pain and the smell of cigarettes made me want to throw up 🤮 Just wondered if other people just ‘knew’ because of anything like that?

Couldn't face coffee (and I'm a total addict normally!)

LittleCandle · 29/03/2019 08:27

Vomiting and couldn't look at coffee and my aversion to tea became even stronger.

AmIBU123 · 29/03/2019 08:30

A love for tomato soup and also when sneezing started to make me wince in discomfort. Both early signs. I find it fascinating how we all have our own signs.

EnchantingRaven · 29/03/2019 08:30

I was sick funnily enough in the morning & my boobs were really tender - I was 6 weeks.

Jent13c · 29/03/2019 08:32

2 years infertility. Cracked an egg on the Saturday and got my first ever double yolker (sign of fertility/pregnancy apparently), on the Wed was due period but by the Tuesday felt amazing, skin was clear and didnt feel my usual PMS sadness. Took a pregnancy test and it was positive.

Isadora2007 · 29/03/2019 08:34

First time my boobs looked weird and the thought “I’m pregnant” just came to me.

Second time I was trying to conceive so every symptom was a sign. Eventually I was right- but can’t recall what that actually was, mostly wishful thinking.

Third time was when I noticed a skirt that had fitted recently was tight. I remember thinking “oh my period must be due... oh... it was due weeks ago- maybe I’m pregnant?”

Fourth time I felt dizzy randomly and just a bit sick.

DIZZYTIGGER87 · 29/03/2019 08:48

Burst into tears, couldn't hold it together...cried at everything. This was Christmas Eve and hubby sent me to my mum's to see if she could fix me.

Took a test day after boxing day. I have (seriously) irregular cycles so never sure when I'm meant to test.

Ratbagcatbag · 29/03/2019 08:51

I used to keep pet rabbits and one had got old and hadn't cleaned himself properly. I had all the stuff in my garage if this ever happened. I'm not squeamish.
Got him out, popped him in the washing up bowl on the garden and threw up everywhere. I knew there and then. It was 3 days before my period was due.

TheBubGrower · 29/03/2019 08:52

Very tender boobs was the main symptom, implantation bleeding, and oddly with my first pregnancy my wee smelt different!

newbabyyy2019 · 29/03/2019 08:53

I kept being able to smell an unlit candle that was on the other side of the room which I wouldn't normally be able to smell from that far, and the morning I found out (before taking the test) every time I stood up I'd go extremely dizzy and have to sit on the floor for a moment.. I then took a test thinking it would be negative and just did it out of boredom since I was so used to seeing negatives I didn't expect to see the two lines at all..

jackstini · 29/03/2019 08:56

Had one glass of wine and fell asleep at the table

The friend I was with knew that was not like me and said 'you're pregnant you are!'

Tested negative the day after but positive a week later

Also we had a dog then and he was suddenly very protective, sniffed my tummy a lot and put his head on it

MissSmith80 · 29/03/2019 08:58

Skipped the booze aisle on my Saturday shop without even thinking about it - very unlike me unless I have planned a period of abstinence like Dry Jan/Sober Oct etc

QueenEhlana · 29/03/2019 08:58

Went out on a vodka night and couldn't even finish my first drink it tasted so awful. I KNEW there had to be a reason!!!

Sexnotgender · 29/03/2019 08:58

My cat!!

She’s cuddly but is NOT a lap cat.

One morning I was in bed drinking coffee and she kept lying on my stomach. We’d been kind of trying (not actively but more seeing what happened).

Turns out little cat is very perceptive!

underthewestway · 29/03/2019 09:01

Montgomery's Tubercules. Never heard of them until I had to google what the weird things on my nipples were......

DeadDoorpost · 29/03/2019 09:34

First time I was 4 days late but I'd felt really strongly I was pregnant. (feelings are never wrong)

This time, I came over really ill, as though I was about to throw up. Was like I had hyperemesis all over again, but this was 2 weeks before I'd even be able to tell, so we're talking conception/implantation. 4 days late again and felt as though I was going to see 2 lines... and I did.

modgepodge · 29/03/2019 09:36

Huge boobs, got sunburned on holiday (wearing cream - I never usually burn like this) and my cat was super friendly like previous poster! (She was also super friendly last night which I was hopeful was a sign I was going in to labour but so such luck.) After I told my husband he said he’d noticed I’d been super irritable 2 days earlier which can be a sign too...I maintain what he was doing would have annoyed me pregnant or not Grin

Sculpin · 29/03/2019 09:41

I get this weird dragging sensation in my abdomen - it's hard to describe, but very distinctive. I was sure I was pregnant with DC2 despite a negative test - and I was.

EmrysAtticus · 29/03/2019 09:42

My Fitbit was recording a faster heart rate for me for the 3-4 days before I tested which I had read was a sign.

boodles101 · 29/03/2019 09:46

I had a dream at 8dpo where I took a test and it was a huge BFP, when I woke in the morning my boobs were really sore. I've never had sore boobs ever, not with my 1st pregnancy or before any period.
And my dog gets super protective of me and won't get off my lap whenever I sit down.
I got a positive about 4 days later.

Elzbells · 29/03/2019 09:47

Couldn't bear the fridge/dishwasher or washing machine. Just opening any of them would make me heave.

Happened all 3 times, a week before positive tests.

LailaByron · 29/03/2019 09:54

@Elzbells....I’m with you on the fridge thing! Forgot about that! And the Oven! I remember holding my breath every time I opened the oven so I didn’t have to smell whatever had last been cooked 🤢

I had no idea! My period was late and a pregnancy test was negative [this was in 1991!!!! Dark Ages!]. I was due to have a Well Woman check up at work and mentioned my late period to the lady. She felt my boobs and said they were definitely boobs of a pregnant woman. As a result, she didn't do as many of the tests on me that should have been done - internal ones I think.

I didn't have morning sickness or any cravings either. Shame really because I hate spicy food and was hoping I might want a curry! LOL

I eventually got swollen ankles a couple of weeks before the baby was born.

Turquoisetamborine · 29/03/2019 10:04

I had one IVF pregnancy and one natural. Both times I had implantation bleeding and my boobs were covered in purple veins before a test showed positive.

skye199 · 29/03/2019 10:05

Very strong sense of smell and feeling lightheaded/seeing stars. Also, crying during sappy commercials lol. When I started bawling during a McDonalds commercial (where a neighbour brings breakfast to a mom next door that has a crying baby) I knew I was pregnant again 100% lol.
