I have 3DC so know the routine for me....with each of them I’ve had nagging lower back pain and the smell of cigarettes made me want to throw up 🤮 Just wondered if other people just ‘knew’ because of anything like that?

So much wind. I was burping and had heartburn so I did a test 6 days early and it was positive!

Prequelle · 29/03/2019 10:15

I didn't know but my colleagues did.

I never eat at work. Now this is a bit of a weird thing to do coz I don't eat before work either and we do 13 hour shifts (so most people have breakftas dinner and tea at work here). It was just my thing though and that was that.

Now for a week i was absolutely RAVENOUS and eating at work so people were suspicious

I was also feeling tired and one day in handover I was complaining about a smell no-one else could smell

Anyway a few of my colleagues insisted I was. I insisted I wasn't. I did a test at work so I could be like HA I TOLD YOU only well... It was positive

Implantation pain. I was curled up on the sofa with tea and a hot water bottle, had no idea what was happening, just lower gut-ache. My dad told me 'your mother had that when she was pregnant', so I poas. Ta-da!

Sandrine1982 · 29/03/2019 11:19

Sore, swollen breasts. From about 2-3 days after conception. This was very unusual for me so I knew something was going on :-)

My first faint line appeared 3 days before my expected period.

Strange intense dreams and then a strange sick sensation during the night. The next morning I decided to take an early test and got a strong second line 3 days before af due. Before that night I was convinved nothing had happened.

afternoontwee · 29/03/2019 11:23

I had a really sharp, needling pain in my right boob about a week before I was due to come on my period. Had never had anything like it before!

ShabbyAbby · 29/03/2019 11:30

Couldn't face coffee. Or be in the same room as it, even.
Basically everything made me sick.

thenightsky · 29/03/2019 11:33

A craving for tomato soup so strong I could smell it when it wasn't even there. Also a raging thirst. I could also smell my cast iron cookware Confused

Karigan195 · 29/03/2019 11:35

Waking in the night to pee (which I never usually do) and boobs grew overnight!

Spargle · 29/03/2019 11:43

I was tracking my temperature, and it was still high although my period was due, but it had done that a few times in the near past to no avail, so although I was hopeful, I didn’t take it as a definite sign. I had no actual symptoms that I noticed per se, but I did fall asleep on the Saturday afternoon two days before I took the test, without even getting the washing done (I am normally very on top of putting the washing in the machine). But I’d had a really hard week on site, and put it down to that.

I took the test on the Monday morning, the day after AF was due, because I was expecting another hard week on site, and thought I’d better check just in case.

I only started to feel slightly off my food that lunchtime, and off my food enough that I didn’t want to finish it by that Friday lunchtime. I think the way I felt on the Monday lunchtime, when AF was already a day late, would have prompted me to test the next morning...

HebeMumsnet · 29/03/2019 11:52

Also was convinced I felt implantation pain every time. Though TBH I was so hyper aware of everything that 'might be a sign' it's entirely possibly it was too many Iced Gems or just some general feeling in my lower abdomen that would normally pass me by entirely!

spaniorita · 29/03/2019 11:58

Gagging walking past the fish counter in Sainsbury's - having a superhuman sense of smell!! 🦸‍♀️

spaniorita · 29/03/2019 12:00

I could smell my wardrobes my sense of smell was so strong. Who knew wardrobes had a smell?!! I'm guessing the wood had been treated with something. Made me heave anyway whatever it was.

RavenLG · 29/03/2019 12:12

I kept falling asleep on the bus home from work. A lot of nausea and when I was sick 3 days in a row at work I was like ok.. I need to do a test.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 29/03/2019 12:14

Not fancying anything on the menu when at a really good restaurant for friend's hen do.

Jessesgirl13 · 29/03/2019 12:33

I had round ligament pain 2 days before my period was due. Felt like i’d done 100 sit ups! (I hadn’t!).

memaymamo · 29/03/2019 12:36

I get this weird dragging sensation in my abdomen - it's hard to describe, but very distinctive.

Sculpin exactly the same for my 3 pregnancies.

Leleophants · 29/03/2019 12:37

@Jessesgirl13 yes to the ligament pain, which keeps coming and going

Graphista · 29/03/2019 13:04

Wine I drank by accident (friends glass I was supposed to be on schloer) tasted like vinegar I literally spat it straight back into the glass!

I'm veggie but not squeamish and still like the smell of some meat/fish but when pregnant could not abide it at all! Made me throw up! Ex had to cook in the kitchen with the door closed and eat in living room with door closed while I read a book or watched tv in the bedroom for a couple hours.

With dd boobs were tender I'm pretty sure since day after conception! Dismissed at the time but recorded in diary I was keeping and I was fairly sure from quite early on when I conceived as ex was back and forth with work around that time and it was a sort of anniversary weekend when I believe I conceived.

BillywigSting · 29/03/2019 13:07

The puking, sore boobs and bloodhound sense of smell gave me an inkling. It took me a fair while to cotton on though as I was on the pill so put pregnancy symptoms down to other things

EstrellaDamn · 29/03/2019 13:34

I woke up one morning, turned over in bed, and knew there was someone else in the room with me. Another soul.

I'm not a woo person at all but that's how I knew

Capybaras · 29/03/2019 13:56

I had period like cramps a fair few days before AF was due. Never normally get cramps so thought it was odd and may as well do a test!

teacuptale · 29/03/2019 14:04

I had some spotting and assumed my period was on the way. Two days later, no period, so I thought I might be pregnant and a test confirmed it.

ItProtectsMyHead · 29/03/2019 15:21

DH suspected before I did, my nipples basically tripled in size and I kept complaining of heartburn. I ended up doing a pregnancy test before my period was even due, having been told the fertility treatment hadn't worked, and got a strong positive

Roomba · 29/03/2019 15:25

When I was pregnant with DS1, I didn't suspect a thing as I had an implantation bleed that I mistook for my period. But - one night I had a really vivid dream that I was talking to a colleague. She was congratulating me on being pregnant and asked how far along I was. Six weeks, I replied. Woke up and laughed at what a mad dream I just had. Two weeks later, missed period and a BFP when I tested. My scan confirmed I was indeed 6 weeks pregnant when I had that dream!
