@thumper59 👋🏻oh, when do I reach that stage 😂haha!

@OhMarnie thank you! Its nice to see you again, how are you getting on?

@tigsyboo oh no are you ok, I get really bad travel sickness if I am a passenger so this could be a long 9 months 🙈

OhMarnie · 19/03/2019 16:38

@Lozzlepop not too bad thank you, I'm 6+1 and nausea hit me yesterday and it's been a bit of a struggle but generally bearable! Have you told any friends or family your news yet??

Knickersononeshead · 19/03/2019 16:46

Evening everyone, trying really hard to keep up with this thread but I'm struggling! Congrats and welcome to everyone new who's had a bfp!

I've been put on insulin today. I've been managing my diabetes through diet and doing really well according to the nurse but my body is struggling at the moment 😳

Also been booked in for a dating scan as although I'm putting myself at 8 weeks today, my lmp was a strange one so they're not 100%.

Nausea and vomiting is becoming a way of life and I'm throwing up at least 4 times a day

Lozzlepop · 19/03/2019 16:53

@OhMarnie I am ok thanks, feel a bit squiffy today but not sure if its a mix of adrenaline from finding out mixed in with tiredness. No I haven't, off to a baby shower next weekend and a sleepover at my friends so will probably need to tell them as it will be unusual im not drinking. Have you told people?

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 17:01

Aww you too @OhMarnie! Flowers I tried to memorise everyone but I clearly haven't managed!

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 17:03

It's always good to get reassurance, but try not to stress too much (easier said than done!) as it can just be old blood etc @Yeoooooooo , Flowers

thumper59 · 19/03/2019 17:05

@Littleseed I am a picture of fatty foods atm! Stuff I can stomach isn't greatly healthy. I'm doing big walks with the dogs on an evening to keep active though.
@Lozzlepop well I am 7+1 today and I'm absolutely gross 😂

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 17:08

Don't worry too much @thumper59 as I think we crave what our bodies can handle or actually need. Grin If you feel too guilty, remember that you "walk it off" every evening anyway. Wink

Nowthenforever2019 · 19/03/2019 17:08

This thread is quite busy! Never known anything like it. Pleased everyone is very excited, and must be a busy month!

Hayley89 · 19/03/2019 17:43

Thank you @Mintypea5! I think a set break is probably the best idea. I already work from home but I'm on the phone with clients a LOT so a screaming baby in the background while I give mortgage advice isn't going to be ideal. That being said there are things I can do that would keep me off the phone if I went back part time for a while. Just so much to think about!

@PrayingandHoping thank you! Haven't even thought about SMP yet! That will be a help. We've never tried to survive on my OH's income alone, I reckon we can do it but it'll be tough for a while.

@thumper59 that must be lovely working in a family business! At least they'll be really supportive when it comes to you going on leave and everything! You're right, the expectation to just work and work isn't realistic, I'm definitely one of those people where I overwork myself and then wonder why I get super run down 🙄

JoJoSaysHello · 19/03/2019 17:51

This is a busy thread but I’m enjoying reading it daily! I’m the first of my friends to be pregnant so it’s nice to hear other people’s experiences (and I haven’t told anyone yet anyway). I’m hoping to meet new friendly people at classes but that won’t happen for a while yet, so thanks for the company on this pregnancy journey everyone!! Flowers

thumper59 · 19/03/2019 18:11

@Littleseed I feel I'll have to walk 100 miles to walk off what I've been eating 😂 It works itself out with the times we can't eat as well I reckon!

@Hayley89 it is good, but there is the added pressure that I know when I'm not there dojng my job it's not getting done 😫 so we'll have to get someone in and trained the basics, I can still do the tech side from home which should work fine! I hope. Yeah I'm the same put so much pressure on and never take time for me! The new priority in my life is this little bean and will be from here on out x

AlmondCinnamon · 19/03/2019 19:14

I might join now too! Due date 9th Nov, second child. We have been hoping for another child quite awhile now but now that it's happening, I'm getting all sorts of mixed feelings, but I suppose it's normal at this stage. We had a rough newborn year with the first one, so I think I might be worried it will be the same... Well, too early to worry about that now anyway!

Congrats to everyone!

TrashKitten10 · 19/03/2019 19:17

Things I definitely can't stomach: Green veg
Things I definitely can stomach: Toffee yum yums 😂

Poor baby is going to be born like a tub of lard.

@Littleseed @AlexandraPark Also a teacher here 👋

@Lozzlepop Great to see you here! We have a good group of us from the TTC thread. When is your due date?

OhMarnie · 19/03/2019 19:20

@Lozzlepop yeah fair enough. We have told close friends and my parents but not DHs parents yet as we haven't seen them in person since we found out, but it's his and his mums birthday on the same day next week so we will probably tell them when we go put for dinner.

I thought I was being good by having a normal dinner tonight rather than toast, but it turns out ratatouille is placed very firmly on the NO list. Ugh!

AcatcalledGary · 19/03/2019 19:44

@Littleseed @AlexandraPark I’m also a teacher. There’s loads of us on here! Are most people going to migrate to the FB group? I find that much easier to keep up with but there is a lot more activity on here so I feel I’m missing out.

Mintypea5 · 19/03/2019 19:48

@AlmondCinnamon my first was terrible newborn but DS2 has been a dream (mostly)

@AcatcalledGary i think the FB group is slowly picking up now Smile

keepforgettingmyusername · 19/03/2019 20:13

@AlmondCinnamon I'm exactly the same. Too late to worry about it rather than too early - the deed is done and we'll just have to muddle through!

thumper59 · 19/03/2019 20:24

Anyone got unreal bloat? 7+1 and I feel and look massive!!

FirstTimeMama91 · 19/03/2019 20:32

@thumper59 omg yes! I'm only 4+5 and I feel sooooo bloated. Keep thinking it'll go away but so far no lol! All for a good reason though ThanksStar

Yeoooooooo · 19/03/2019 20:43

Thanks all. GP sent me to a&e but they didn’t do much just referred me to the EPU. Waiting for them to phone me tomorrow. I was in a&e for ages as my heart rate was high. Any wonder with the panic I feel!

@tigsyboo no not much at all and it was brown so not fresh blood.

It’s still such a worry though. Trying to mentally prepare myself for bad news tomorrow but hopeful it’s not.

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 20:58

LOL @thumper59 but like you said between the walks and the times you can't eat, it evens out. Wink

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 20:59

You made me laugh @OhMarnie because I was just eating some toast when I read your post about toast! Grin

Mintypea5 · 19/03/2019 21:01

@Yeoooooooo fingers crossed for tomorrow. It’s not always bad news so try to stay positive! Flowers

Littleseed · 19/03/2019 21:01

@Yeoooooooo As hard as it is, try to relax as best as you can. A few people here have had some brown discharge but then the next day everything was ok.

Hopefully everything will be just fine tomorrow. Flowers
Did you actually get to speak to your GP when you called, or was it the reception who said to go to A&E?
With A&E now referring you to EPU, does that mean the EPU will be expecting you now tomorrow?

I'm just trying to know what the whole process is, as you can feel a bit lost in situations like this and not know where to turn. hugs

Rest well and tomorrow's a new day. xx
