@Pollypocket5
Me.
Exactly the same thing, been worrying about it all day.
They usually hurt a little bit in the day but a lot more in the evening. Then woke up this morning and they don't even hurt if I poke them.
Was my only symptom and I wish it would come back so I felt like everything was going ok.
How far along are you? I'm 6week LMP but about 5.5weeks if I work it out from conception.

tigsyboo · 18/03/2019 17:43

@aimingfor2019 .... sorry if I've missed some previous post explaining your cycles.... but if your lmp puts you at 6weeks, most conceive (because they ovulate) 10-16 days after that, not 3 days after the start of your period, so not really likely that conception date would put you at 5.5wks??

Pollypocket5 · 18/03/2019 17:46

@aimingfor2019 It's so strange isn't it. I am 6.5 weeks. I haven't had any other symptoms but sore boobs so I'm hoping it comes back. (Never thought I'd say that). I have a scan on Sunday so fingers crossed everything is ok.

aimingfor2019 · 18/03/2019 17:55

@tigsyboo
That was 'worked out' from conception 5.5weeks so the date of conception (3.5 weeks)+ the 2 weeks that the NHS add on.
Not 5.5weeks from conception.

aimingfor2019 · 18/03/2019 17:56

@Pollypocket5
Not long to wait then! Let me know how it goes. Mine isn't until the 6th April, although if my symptoms don't return I might move it forward.

AcatcalledGary · 18/03/2019 18:24

@bumblingalonghappily go for the TLR!!! Omg this is exactly one of the reasons for the gender pay gap, you are not being deceitful for choosing not to tell before 12 weeks and they clearly think you’re good for that role. Let us know what you decide to do.

DH earns more than me too but not by much so I think I’ll go back July ideally. It’s only a few weeks before you’re off again so not sure why you’d regret it and financially it makes more sense as you get bugger all for last few months if you take a year off. Also I think I’d go mad after being off all that time. Plus you wouldn’t be given a proper timetable for just a few weeks so won’t have any marking etc. Obv you’ve got to do what you thinks right tho. And this is only what I’m saying now, we could well chhanhw our minds a hundred times between now and when it actually is happening.

Mintypea5 · 18/03/2019 18:38

@bumblingalonghappily you should go for the job! Doesn’t matter if you’re pregnant or not if you’re the best person for it then they’ll just have to work around your maternity! I know a surgeon that went for a chief of surgery role got it and the. Went on maternity

I’m feel like absolute crap today. I’ve basocaly stopped being able to fall asleep no matter how tired I am as soon as I get into bed I’m wide awake. The. I can’t get comfortable tossing and turning. Too hot or too cold Angry

AcatcalledGary · 18/03/2019 19:17

@Mintypea5 same here, I struggle sleeping when I need to then during the daytime my body needs a nap but that’s a bit difficult working full time lol. On the plus side I guess that means your body is working and growing your little embryo as it should be. I must admit I get a little anxious on the odd day I feel quite good and ‘not pregnant’ As if something must be wrong. Can’t win eh?

Littleseed · 18/03/2019 19:39

You're welcome @thumper59 and so great you've got your first midwife appointment in a week's time. I expect that'll be the point that'll make it all feel real for us all. Grin xx

Littleseed · 18/03/2019 19:40

Thank you @FirstTimeMama91! Flowers Excited for you too and absolutely loved your card idea! I told DH too and he was impressed. Grin

TrashKitten10 · 18/03/2019 19:43

@Smiffette I also have a 1 hour commute each way. All by car so at least I have a seat but I'm struggling with it already.

@Nowthenforever2019 it doesn't sound right that you're due on the15th but only 4 weeks gone, have you possibly miscalculated?

@Littleseed Aww thank you, I'm feeling much better today. How are you?

@bumblingalonghappily @FirstTimeMama91 @AcatcalledGary I'm also a teacher :) I haven't told anyone yet but plan to after my 8 week scan. I plan to work up to October half term when I think I'd be about 37 weeks and then go back just before the summer holiday to get full pay over the holidays :)

@Unsureursula I thought I was going mad with the temperature changes. Kept waking up in the middle of the night freezing cold and I've been hot all day.

@OhMarnie Yes I'm getting this way. Just had roast chicken and veg for tea and I had to give up, the broccoli was making me feel so queasy. Weirdly I seem to be feeling quite sick at the thought of some foods but once I pull myself together I'm fine eating them. Like I open the fridge and feel nauseous but I'm fine actually eating anything out of it. The broccoli tonight is the first complete food defeat haha.

Littleseed · 18/03/2019 19:47

Oh no, you poor thing @Feelingsolow12345 Sad I'm truly amazed, because I didn't know anyone else had this! I totally feel for you. Sad Flowers Try some ginger. xx

Smiffette · 18/03/2019 19:47

Trashkitten10 yeah same, 1 hour each way and I'm driving! Fortunately I've plotted out 2 toilet stops on route! I think I'll definitely need them as time goes on!

CurrerBell1979 · 18/03/2019 19:51

Aimingfor2019 and Pollypocket5 - I am the same with the symptoms and worrying! Felt less of the tugging feeling and sore breasts this weekend and ended up taking another test this morning

still a strong line so thats a good sign

have been suffering from bad heartburn/reflux today, thought my lunch would come up again in front of my work colleagues!

FirstTimeMama91 · 18/03/2019 20:22

@AcatcalledGary @bumblingalonghappily I'm not permanent so I'm employed until August in my current school. Then I might just do supply until November. Then supply again maybe may/June next year. Hopefully get permanent after that!

Bean1987 · 18/03/2019 20:45

@Trashkitten10 @bumblingalonghappily @AcatcalledGary @FirstTimeMama91

Fellow teacher here too 😁 @Trashkitten10....going to try and do as you suggested and will try and work up until Oct/return just before summer hols!!!

Have booked first midwife appointment now...29/3. Will be about 9 weeks.
Hospital said first scan would be 19th April the earliest. Not sure whether to go private and book an early scan or just wait it out 🧐

@Bumblingalonghapoily. Love your egg announcement idea for your Mum...very cute. Would like to do some sort of hidden scan image in choc egg for my MIL and my Dad
-hoping They fit me in for my scan before Easter Day. 🤞🏻

Chanel05 · 18/03/2019 20:46

@BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil yes, definitely having temp fluctuations. If I’m feeling cold I tend to feel freezing!

@bumblingalonghappily @FirstTimeMama91 @AcatcalledGary @TrashKitten10 I’m also a teacher 😊 told my head last week, though I’m only 5+6.

I spoke to the midwife last Tuesday who said she would send me info for my booking appointment. When can I expect this? I’m 5+6 today. Also, has anyone else been getting headaches?

Chanel05 · 18/03/2019 20:48

@Bean1987 when are you thinking of booking a private scan?

bumblingalonghappily · 18/03/2019 20:52

@FirstTimeMama91 @Chanel05 @Bean1987 @TrashKitten10 @AcatcalledGary

Hello teacher crew! Thanks for all your replies 😊 interesting that a couple of you have told your heads/planning to tell them quite soon. Is that for timetabling reasons? Wondering if I should now!

Also thinking I'm coming round to the idea of leaving at October half term then returning at start of summer hols. I had a colleague once who returned for the last three days of the summer term so just for sports day etc then she got full pay!

Chanel05 · 18/03/2019 20:57

@bumblingalonghappily I mentioned it as I knew there was going to be a few staff changes and that slt would be advertising and would need to know how many posts to fill!

Littleseed · 18/03/2019 20:58

Oh no! You too @Hayley89 Sad as horrible as it is, it's nice to have others that feel the same and can relate!
That's absolutely amazing that you stopped smoking after having hypnosis! Did you just have the one session?

bumblingalonghappily · 18/03/2019 21:01

@Chanel05 that makes sense! I've got two early scans,one at the start of the Easter hols and one at the end (at just under 9 weeks) so I might tell them when I go back for the summer term.

Littleseed · 18/03/2019 21:05

Oh my God @Mintypea5 that's exactly me! Sad
Yesterday I was awake well before 4am and found it so hard staying awake all day so I can "get a good night's sleep" and when I did head for bed, I was wide awake! I was literally nodding off on the sofa before 8pm, yet come bed time and getting into bed and that was it!

PyjamasForever · 18/03/2019 21:06

Feeling so sorry for myself. Not only is my nausea worse, but I now have a tickly cough and sore throat. I have to get the train into London for the rest of the week and just hoping I don't puke on anyone.

Bean1987 · 18/03/2019 21:11

@Chanel05...Another teacher...we’re multiplying!!

@bumblingalonghappily
Am in SLT...know schools have to put in risk assessment/have a duty to keep you safe.
E.g we’ve had incidents of slapped cheek in lower school where we had to ensure pregnant teacher was safe/teachers also need to refrain from team-teach strategies etc.
In addition, know a lot of heads are looking at recruitment for Sept at the mo. However it’s how you feel. I know of other teachers who wait until 12weeks before saying anything.

@Chanel05
Not sure of availability during out of school hours. Was wondering if I could get one for around the 9 week mark...(or wondering if I should just try and remain patient and wait it out 😂)
Shouldn’t wish time away but time is going so slow....it feels like I’ve been pregnant for ages. When in reality it’s only been weeks 😂
