Hi every one I would love to join I will 6 weeks tomorrow and I'm due 11th November. I am getting my first scan when I'm 7 weeks 1 day, just having a reassurance scan as we had two losses last year.

I’m 32 and 5+3 with baby #1. Due date currently 14th November x

Thank you. Regarding telling parents I thought mother’s Day would be a great time to tell my mam (and means I can get a ‘future nana’ related present) however I am a bit nervous as I’ll only be 7 weeks and she would be devastated if I lost it. So now I’m in two minds.

@Mintypea5 first grandchild on my side and will be 3rd grandchild on my DH's side. So exciting ❤️

@AcatcalledGary Could you get an earlybscan to reassure you a bit so you can still tell on mother’s day?

@FirstTimeMama91 awww that’s lovely! This will be 3rd on my side and 7th on DHs (6 not including my eldest as he’s a step grandchild to them but they treat him like their own so they’d call it 7)

@firsttimemama91 same here! My mam has wanted to be a nana for aaaages, we’ve been together 12 years and she’s probably been dropping hints for about 8 of those lol

@mintypea5 I could but I’ll be 7 weeks from last period so technically only about 5-6 weeks since conception so not sure a heartbeat would be detecte by then? I’ve mentioned it to DH and he says it will be a waste of money and to just tell my mam. I keep asking if he’s thought about how we will tell his parents and he keeps saying ‘don’t know!’ Typical of him, so laid back.

If I join the FB group it won’t show up on my profile, right? I don’t want anyone on FB knowing, especially this early!

I’ve had scans at 6 weeks (LMP) and seem heart beats. 7 it’s likely but not guaranteed if that’s any help? You could call a scan place and find out what they think?

Morning ladies. No further cramping or brown discharge for me only that slight bit last night. Today just creamy as usual! Don't think I'm going to ring docs as by the looks of things the only time you will get sent for a scan or they worry is with red fresh blood and cramping of which I have neither. So will just see how we get on and have a scan in just under 2 weeks anyway. Still woke up exhausted and nauseous so that's something!

@thumper59 that’s good news. Hopefully time will fly by for your scan.

The only people I've told are my husband and PT. Hoping to have my 12week scan at the beginning of May before we go on holiday and then announce when we get back, so I'll be 15 weeks. Might tell my sister and mum before then though.

I'm quite an anxious person and not sure I want the pressure of people knowing before I feel more confident that everything is going ok.

@aimingfor2019 I'm just like you, although our parents have been told because my last pregnancy ended at 6 weeks and we hadn't told anyone so this time I wanted their support.
I'm honestly hoping to make it last 20 weeks before I have to tell anyone else. Feeling very anxious and protective about the whole thing.

Just found out I'm due on the 23rd of November.

I don’t know what to do about telling work. I’ll be coming back from maternity leave 8 weeks pregnant. Last time I had a very difficult pregancy (major bleed at 14 weeks followed by bleeding pretty much every week and reduced movements) so was out a lot for appointments. So I don’t know if I should tell them as soon as i get back or wait until after my scan.

@Mintypea5 maybe try to see go how it goes, but the main thing is that you only tell work when you feel comfortable to. I know my school are planning teaching timetables for next year and they'll find it really hard to find a maternity cover teacher in a couple of months time, but I'm not going to tell them until I'm ready.

When you make sure you're still pregnant. There's no doubt that I am now haha. Still can't believe it.

I have done six tests so far and still feel like I need to do another 🙈
