Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

Quick (stupid) question! My surgery called this morning asking me to do a urine sample for my second GP appointment next week (when I get my blood taken). They didn't mention this before. Do they re-run tests etc every time you see them, or is it likely they found something in the sample I gave this week? It might be she just realised she hadn't mentioned it at our appointment but I was worrying in case they need to re-test for a particular reason.

@Trinnidad yes, they test your urine EVERY TIME YOU SEE ANYONE... up the duff? Prepare to pee...

@saffy347 yes, you need an official "maternal exemption " card. Your midwife gives you a form to send away when you see her, it takes a few days to come back. You could try asking the GP to do it sooner?

abcriskringle · 08/02/2019 16:01

@scattyscot ah congrats! Yes I think so, sorry I'm 17th October not 7th - might have mistyped before!

Thanks @DustyDoorframes - I'm not sure if that's a relief or not!!!

Hope everyone's doing well. Happy Friday!

Chiming in at 30 years old and pregnant for the 2nd time, but no children yet. Previous pregnancy was a surprise 2 years ago and ended in MC at 6 weeks (scan showed the baby measured less than 5 weeks at that stage).

Feeling rather overwhelmed with the life changing aspect of it all. DH has been very keen for babies for quite some time as he approaches 40, but I was much more on an 'in a year/18 months time' timeframe. Our timeline got sped up significantly due to us not being careful enough.

Currently 6 weeks have have had no symptoms barring some pulling sensations around 4 weeks. Have booked an early scan for next Friday to see what is going on inside after the previous experience.

As of yet, not yet feeling excited or happy happy, but I think that is concerns over maternity pay, mortgage, house renovation and our previously planned kitchen and extension now being put on hold clouding things.

Think I need a few more weeks to get used to the idea!

Hello all! I'm so sorry for disappearing. Toddler has been unwell and I'm totally wiped. So I need to add you on Facebook as a friend briefly to add you to the group. If you pm me your details I can do this.

Hi everyone.

First time pregnancy at age 30, just found out. I’m roughly 6weeks due 3/10/19.

I’m feeling very guilty as I am not having any excited feelings, just sheer panic. Needless to say this baby was not planned for another few years.
Been getting lots of “pulling” sensations and nausea (no vomiting) not sure if the nausea is down to my shock.
Freaking out that there is a tiny human growing inside me, i think I might pass out when I can start to feel he/she move. Please tell me someone else has had this feeling and I’m not a weirdo 🙈

Ann88l · 09/02/2019 09:09

Hi Ladies
So I'm approx 4wk5days and I've been having on and off for the last couple weeks milky discharge - it's literally like milk.
When I was pregnant before and had a MC I never had this. Is this normal? Is anyone else having it?
Other than this milky stuff I'm having no symptoms other than some cramps about 10 days ago.
Thank you ladies Smile

Anyone on more than 1 kid tear with their first? I've posted in childbirth but interested in what people know about likelihood of tearing again. 3rd degree here 😔 but all healed well and full function in all holes!
I'd want a natural again but would rather not end up with a 3rd degree again or a 4th.

HMIB · 09/02/2019 09:38

@Frizzy1986 well I struggled with my first he was only 7lb and ended up having an episiotomy like a proper full one. Healed fine. Then with my second was an all natural birth had a small 2nd degree tare, a couple stitches and all good then my last 2 who were my biggest babies at 8lb and 8.6lb both natural and no tears or grazing. I think your body knows what to do 2nd time around. So I would like to think that it won't be as bad this time around for you!! X

Frizzy1986 · 09/02/2019 09:52

@hmib thanks. That's good to know. I really don't want to end up having a planned section because of tear risks so it's good to know that tearing once doesn't necessarily mean tearing again.

DustyDoorframes · 09/02/2019 09:56

@Frizzy1986 I tore badly the first time but only a tiny bit the second, and the second came super quick too. My first was a whopper...

Topsy15 · 09/02/2019 12:25

Hey all x I just wanted to hopefully help anyone worrying about symptoms coming and going as I got myself into state about it! I had some back pain last night and feel like my boobs have disappeared and completely stopped hurting, nausea and bloating is no where near as bad. Just been scanned today and the baby is fine! Safely inside the womb, measuring 6.5 weeks with a fast heartbeat! I was 100% expecting the worst - having had a miscarriage previously.

I hope this helps anyone who over analyses and symptom spots as much as me!

Smile xxxx

abcriskringle · 09/02/2019 17:02

@Frizzy1986 I had a 3rd degree tear with my first. This time I'm going to request an elcs. I don't want to risk further damage and I also had a PPH so it was a really shit experience!

Glitterandunicorns · 09/02/2019 18:49

@Topsy15 that's brilliant news!

Topsy15 · 09/02/2019 19:41

Thankyou! Smile such a relief. Looking forward to hear about everyone's scans once we all get a bit further along! Although I feel reassured I do think I'm going to be a worrier and it will probably never stop BlushGrin

Topsy15 · 09/02/2019 19:41

Sorry forgot to tag you @Glitterandunicorns x

Tryingforno2 · 10/02/2019 00:13

Hi I'm tentatively dipping my toe in the water here, 4 + 3 approx got my bfp a few days ago, I'm experiencing a little nausea and light cramping here and there, this will be my second child I have a 2yo lb and third pregnancy I miscarried previously at 5 weeks last feb, want to get excited but can't just yet.
My edd will be 12.10 as will deliver by ecs so will be scheduled for 39 weeks I imagine.
These early days are so difficult very much looking forward to my first scan I think I might book myself and early one for peace of mind at about 7 weeks, congratulations to everyone who got their bfps :-) xx

Tryingforno2 · 10/02/2019 00:16

@Staceyn88
I felt like that with my first, the excitement comes! It's just a bit of a shock if it's not planned, it's a lot to take in but you're going to be totally ok 😘 xx

Staceyn88 · 10/02/2019 08:59

Thank you. We’ve told all close family now, everyone is excited but us. Once we get things in order the excitement will hopefully come x

Ann88l · 10/02/2019 09:32

When did everyone's morning sickness start?

Frizzy1986 · 10/02/2019 10:05

Great news @topsy15

I'm having one of my regular freak outs because I've woken up this morning and my boobs seem to be completely back to normal. They've been pretty hard since just after conception and this morning they are all wobbly. Is this normal at 6 weeks?
Obviously I'm assuming this is not a good sign. It's my only real symptom although do feel a little nauseous sometimes, but not sure if that's just the sweet food I've been eating.
Guess there's no telling, and will have to wait for the private scan in 2 weeks and hopefully they'll see something as I'll be almost 8 weeks by then.

Punklive18 · 10/02/2019 11:07

Hi everyone ! I’m due October 2019 with my first baby and I’m 26 years old . I’m very excited ! Found out at 4 weeks and I’m currently 6 weeks+1 . Finding the wait for appointment excruciating. Have so many strong symptoms I’m worried it’s twins haha ! Hope everyone’s doing well ! Smile
