Hello. I thought I'd start a thread for anyone that has had the good news that they are due October 2019. We can go through these looong early weeks together.

I'm 33, first pregnancy
Cycle 6
Currently cycle day 21/12 doo. First BFP at 10 dpo.

I am now testing daily to see if my BFPs are getting stronger. Also still checking temps. Anyone else feel like they have to tip toe around at this stage as everything seems so fragile?

@Beeseeinya the first trimester is so knackering, it will get easier, honest!!! Don't make any decisions right now, and yes, if you are keeling over later on (or now!) you can get signed off xxx

angel0071987 · 04/02/2019 09:54

@Beeseeinya congratulations on your bfp. And to all other newbies too who've joined in recent days.
In my experience you'll be better off having your incurred holiday with baby when it's born adding onto mat leave. I was forced into mat leave earlier than I wanted as I had severe pgp/spd and couldn't walk without crutches. Hated being off for so long before baby. Couple weeks max to rest is ideal. But everyone is different. Don't make any decisions right now as second trimester is easier.

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 10:25

congrats everyone!!

I just got my positive result on Thursday morning (it was very faint) but I tested again on Saturday and it was very positive.

This will be my second pregnancy as I lost my first to a mmc.

So this will be an excruciatingly long first 3 months.

Will be nice to read all the other posts t9 help me along 😂

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 10:33

oh and forgot to mention, I'm due around October 13th!

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 11:47

Hi I added you on Facebook to be added to the group, hope I added the right person!

LaurenSl · 04/02/2019 12:10

@Elleraa what the Facebook group??
And is it private? Scared to join anything on Facebook in case other folk see :)

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 12:29

@LaurenSl yeah if you add christina peak she'll add you!

it's private so no one can see :)

Dimblebimble · 04/02/2019 12:53

Hey can I join? I'm just over 5 weeks, due start of October. Had a mmc in November so quite anxious, me and dh have known for over 2 weeks now but trying not to think about it too much.

Having symptoms that I didn't have last time though, mainly v. sore boobs/chest, which I'm hoping could be a good sign. When we first started trying we wanted an October baby so it would be perfect if this worked out 💕

I've also found that fruits taste sour to me, to the extent that I wince and shudder on my first bite! Not sure whether this is a sign from my body that I should stop eating them or whether I should just ignore it.

Lauperr · 04/02/2019 13:12

Hello, can I join you? Smile
BFP on Wednesday when I was 9DPO and the line has been darker each day I've tested.
I didn't intend to test so early but my boobs have been so tender! I was also off coffee, could smell stuff no one else could and have been feeling queasy and tired so I had a good idea that I might be.
This will be my second, I'm 32 and my DD is 2, so there will be about 3 years and 6 weeks between the two!
Think I'm due 14th October.

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 13:31

@Dimblebimble

Congrats! and sorry to hear about your mmc

I had a mmc on December 1st 2018 and I'm around 4 weeks pregnant at the moment.

I'm also very nervous, hoping reading lots of positive posts is going to help me get through the first 12 weeks xD

Hope everything goes well for your rainbow baby 💕

yellowdaisyfield · 04/02/2019 14:17

Hi ladies, I'm wondering if any of you have had a similar experience.

I thought I was 7+2 today so we had our booking appointment and then went on to go to an early scan.

The scan was an abdominal one, not an internal one, and showed a gestation sac measuring just under 6 weeks. She couldn't see anything in the gestation sac so has rebooked us for 2 weeks time to see if there's anything then.

I'm automatically thinking worst case scenario whereas The sonographer was reassuring saying perhaps my dates are a week out and that's why. I've not had any morning sickness symptoms, only an occasional pulling sensation, so this is also worrying me ...

Have any of you had similar experiences? X

Dimblebimble · 04/02/2019 14:19

@Elleraa congrats to you too! It's really hard isn't it. I'm hoping the next couple of months go quickly. I'm in a weird mindset where even though I know I'm pregnant I'm not actually expecting a baby, which is weird. I'm finding it hard to envision this time.

I hope everyone's doing well and avoiding nausea and morning sickness so far!

Snootie4Bear · 04/02/2019 14:21

Hi All. DH doesn't like me being on my phone in these early days so my apologies for the delay.

@MamaDane I was gonna say I haven't had much nausea but I feel rough sitting here at my desk today. Missing my fleecy PJs and cat. I did a huge shop to kick start my appetite because I wanna make sure I'm getting enough nutrients but I feel like heaving lololll

@Womblove Wow, this list concept has been going for 17 years?! Amazing. I love seeing who's joined the register lol. I'm still alone for 5th October though! Thank you for the awesome links. It really helps having all this info as a first-timer. Wouldnt know where to start! I looked into the hospitals near me. Both have pretty rubbish reviews but I'll probably choose the comfier one and hope for the best! I'm definitely going to look into hypnobirthing once I'm out of the woods. Sounds brilliant.

@Katiebaby13 I echo your sentiments. I too feel very uneducated on all this 😞

@Omgimhavingababy Thank you so much! I do feel incredibly blessed. I've got my first scan on Saturday and I'm getting more nervous as it draws nearer. My mind is starting to play tricks on me. The only thing keeping me sane is FRERs. I'll do one before the scan to settle any nerves. Gonna be a quivering ball of jelly all morning.

@neuroticnumpty glad you mentioned exercise. I really wanna get into some sort of routine to make it easier throughout and afterwards

@TubbyMcFatfuck What a brilliant name!!!!!! I love it!!

@Beeseeinya Congratulations!!! I too have an office job, which I got told confidentially will be made redundant. My manager is already leaving so that's something else to worry about. Offices. Everyone thinks your business is their business. I won't be announcing anything until I'm struggling to hide. I understand how you feel about it keeping you up at night. This keeps me awake.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE NEWBIES ❤️❤️❤️

LaurenSl · 04/02/2019 14:25

@Elleraa There are a few Christina peak - which one is she??? :)

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 14:27

@Dimblebimble

Yeah I feel the same, it's an awful feeling to not be expecting a baby but I think everyone with a loss sort of feels the same at the start.

Keep me updated though, I'm sure everything will go okay this time!

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 14:28

@LaurenSl

in her original post it said she's in a uniform and is holding her son, when I searched it was the one at the top.

Hope this helps 😂

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 14:33

@yellowdaisyfield

Hi, I've not been in this situation but do you know when the first day of the period started?

Do you know when you ovulated?

Conception could of been a bit off from what you thought.

Honestly I know it's hard to but try and keep your mind off it. There's nothing that can be done at this stage

I hope everything is all okay for you on your next scan! Keep us updated on what happens :)

we are always here for support if you need it 💕

yellowdaisyfield · 04/02/2019 14:37

@Elleraa thank you so much! The first day of my last period was 15/12/19. My cycles average at around 29 days but can be anything from 28-33. I didn't ovulation test so I'm not sure when I ovulated. We had just been to America and I was under the weather around the time of ovulation so unless that delayed my cycle - I'm not sure.

I'll just have to keep distracted for 2 weeks and see how it works out. I'll definitely let you know. Thanks x

Jennierb4 · 04/02/2019 14:37

Hi everyone,

I'm really new to all this: just got my BFP yesterday - I'd been waiting to take the test until my period was a week late, as my cycles have been a bit all over the place! But yep - I'm pregnant :) Due early October. I'm 37 - nearly 38 - and it's my first time. So anxious at this early stage and I have my first midwife appointment next week.

Before I see her, I need to have decided on which of the 3 local hospitals I want to be seen by. Any pointers from anyone else in the Leighton Buzzard area would be much appreciated! The 3 hospitals are Milton Keynes, Luton and Dunstable and Stoke Mandeville. Looks like MK only has a labour ward and no separate birth centre alongside.

Thanks,

Jennie

LaurenSl · 04/02/2019 14:43

@Jennierb4 congratulations!!! So excited yet daunting isn't it!!

I don't live you're way so can't help with that bit I'm afraid!

I'm so jel you have your appt next week - I need to wait till 27th :( xx

Elleraa · 04/02/2019 14:49

@yellowdaisyfield

Yeah I had a little look and being Ill can delay ovulation, for example a high fever. But honestly not sure either

did they not offer you am internal scan? everything's so tiny at 7 weeks still it could of just been missed

sending positive vibes

Dimblebimble · 04/02/2019 15:09

@yellowdaisyfield I think travelling can also impact ovulation. Also it can be totally random, I always ovulate on day 14 or 15, but last month I ovulated on day 12 for no apparent reason. So maybe it was just different this month? Fingers crossed for you.

Glitterandunicorns · 04/02/2019 15:50

@Snootie4Bear how come your husband doesn't like you using your phone? Not to overreact, but are you safe in your relationship? x

FlowerPowerBecky · 04/02/2019 15:52

Hello all!

I do hope it's okay to join in this thread?

I'm due the 1st of October (according to NHS website) this will be my second DC.

:) xx

DustyDoorframes · 04/02/2019 16:10

@Snootie4Bear if you notify work that you are pregnant it makes it a bit harder for them to make you redundant- I'd take advice ASAP Re whether you are better off letting them know sooner rather than later...

Welcome new people! Exciting (and scary) times!
