Hia everyone, keen to find out how you are all getting on and if little one has arrived yet? I'm currently still waiting patiently as our due date isnt for another 11 days. Some slight pain, lots of BH but nothing to make me think it's all beginning.

How about you guys?

Thanks for creating this post @Jadem1990

22 days to go for me... It is weird thinking it could be tomorrow, or anytime in the next five weeks (up to 42 weeks)... but no signs of anything happening here yet.

How is everyone else doing? Do we have any January babies yet?

huskiie · 04/01/2019 22:08

26 days left for me, so excited for her to arrive but just have a feeling she's going to keep me waiting and arrive later than her due date! Not had any braxton hicks or anything yet, had a midwife appointment yesterday and was told baby is head first but not engaged yet, this final month is going to drag!

mrsed1987 · 04/01/2019 22:30

24 days left for me. Nothing yet but im glad as our kitchen isnt finished and we are living in chaos for at least another week!

Olivecake · 04/01/2019 22:40

19 days til my due date but I don’t feel like it’s coming any time soon. Haven’t had any Braxton Hicks and my bump is still quite comfortable and not too low but midwife says baby is in a good position.

Still need to get my crib set up and get all the baby stuff ready (have been waiting for the ‘nesting’ thing to kick in but I seem to have missed out on that!) but hopefully that will keep me busy until he or she arrives!

Curlypop · 05/01/2019 06:12

11 days left for me and no signs what so ever. Was two weeks over with first though!

TheCag · 05/01/2019 08:13

I was due yesterday but no sign yet. According to a scan, growth has slowed so I’m being induced tomorrow. I’ll be walking and bouncing on my exercise ball all day to try and get things moving!

mumofmunchkin · 05/01/2019 08:56

Due on Monday, no sign of anything kicking off yet - thoroughly fed up!

XZobox · 05/01/2019 09:00

12 days left for me she’s fully engaged and iv had a few ‘false alarms’ that turn out to be nothing Sad feeling totally fed up I’m told baby is going to be on the large side so iv had a sweep already and booked for induction on my due date really hoping she decides to come on her own before then

Rarfy · 05/01/2019 09:00

Csection booked for Wednesday Shock still not feeling real yet.

I am.week four of a hospital stay for placenta previa so going to be a huge change to have a baby and go home haha!

Jigglyjugs · 05/01/2019 09:04

19 days left and just want him out! Absolutely no indication of labour, just strong kicks and jabs. His head is down though, so maybe if I go on a hike, it'll get things moving? Grin

I don't know how I can get much bigger - I'm not even sure if he will manage to come out now, he just seems too large!

sirmione16 · 06/01/2019 01:44

18 days and counting. Insomnia is killing me, pelvic pressure is making me lose the will and quite honestly now the house is back to normal after Christmas, I'm bored!! Wishing for an early labour but no signs :(?

mrsed1987 · 06/01/2019 15:03

Im bored too! 22 days left but in all honestly we are in the middle of having our kitchen and extention finished so in an ideal world as close to my due date as possible would be helpful lol

Curlypop · 08/01/2019 20:59

Fed up now. 7 day due date. Covered in clary sage and had a sweep. Nothing happened

sirmione16 · 08/01/2019 21:06

Had a growth scan today, apparently baby is large effing great so booked in for a sweep on Saturday, then Tuesday and ultimately an induction on 24th. Glad to be seeing the back end of this pregnancy tbh.

sirmione16 · 08/01/2019 21:07

@Curlypop when did you have your sweep? I've been told half of women have beginnings of labour 24 hours after, more of them are then 48hours. ?

Curlypop · 08/01/2019 21:08

@sirmione16 it was yesterday afternoon.
Apparently cervix was soft and I was 1-2 cm but not even a twinge. And baby is huge!!

Curlypop · 08/01/2019 21:09

Is it your first @sirmione16 ? My last baby was huge too.

Don35 · 08/01/2019 21:23

With my last pregnancy I had a sweep and was told I was 3cm dilated. I was induced 2 weeks later.

I a due with this little one on Friday and every little pain I'm thinking, right this is it. But it's just wishful thinking.

sirmione16 · 08/01/2019 21:41

@Curlypop yep first baby for me. He's constantly measured large on the scale and they're claiming he's above 8lb already. I'm 37+5 today hence why they're keen to get sweeping I guess otherwise I'm gonna be birthing a toddler at this rate ConfusedGrin

sirmione16 · 08/01/2019 21:42

@Don35 this doesn't make me very optimistic regarding these sweeps!! Confused

Here's hoping your LO makes an appearance sooner rather than later!

AussieMum28 · 08/01/2019 22:35

I was due on the 14th but my little one came when he was just 33+5! On the LDU for nearly a fortnight but we are both home now and he is growing like a trooper 😊

needanappp · 09/01/2019 01:17

Congratulations @AussieMum28 !!

37+1 and fed up Grin thought with it being DC2 I'd be too busy to be impatient but no. I'm so done with the bloody backache, waddling, insomnia and constant toilet trips!!

Seems like we have a lot of stubborn January babies!!

Jayrita · 09/01/2019 01:29

I'm 38+6 today. My first baby and I feel nothing happening I'm due on the 17th but feel like I'm going to have a slow Labour and maybe late which is not great as I'm totally done with being pregnant now I just want my little one here with me. Have a MW appointment tomorrow so hopefully she will have some news on where I'm at now.

ruthieruthuk · 09/01/2019 03:40

I was due 2nd jan n my little girl was born 29th December, weighing 8lbs, great delivery and out within a few days! Best out of 5!

Named her Aimee.

Was induced due to movements, given pessary which worked pretty quickly! Around a 24hr labour from start to finish.

Tried to post week or two back on the other group but it wouldn't let me.

Januarybaby2019 · 09/01/2019 07:16

Congratulations aussie and ruthie - so happy to read your updates!

Does anyone know if the things like drinking raspberry leaf tea and bouncing on the ball will actually help speed things along?
