Hia everyone, keen to find out how you are all getting on and if little one has arrived yet? I'm currently still waiting patiently as our due date isnt for another 11 days. Some slight pain, lots of BH but nothing to make me think it's all beginning.

How about you guys?

@Januarybaby2019 it didn't work for baby number one but it's not stopped me trying same for this one!!

Januarybaby2019 · 09/01/2019 07:48

Curlypop I guess it can’t help to try! Hope we all have some positive baby stories to share soon!

Sexnotgender · 09/01/2019 08:07

I’m due in 10 days and no sign yet.

I’ve been awake since 4.30 this morning and could cry I’m so tired.

Thought we had movement a couple nights ago but it didn’t turn into anything.

ruthieruthuk · 09/01/2019 08:26

Sorry @Januarybaby2019 I don't no, it's not something I tried tbh but I hope something happens for you soon.

sirmione16 · 09/01/2019 13:18

@ruthieruthuk congrats! This makes me optimistic for these sweeps and inductionGrin

sirmione16 · 09/01/2019 13:20

@Januarybaby2019 I've been bouncing on birthing ball, apparently even if it doesn't speed up labour, it does good for the muscles down there. No hardship either, so why not :)

also been told to eat pineapple and to have sex. Well I had sex last night and nothing - not even any blood or changes maybe TMI sorry. Also - curry! As hot as you can handle.

But ultimately, none of these are medically proven

Olivecake · 10/01/2019 12:18

I have been starting to get a few stomach aches, nothing really crampy or even close to contractions yet but am hoping it’s an indication something is starting to happen down there. 38 weeks now but really don’t feel like being pregnant for potentially another 4 weeks. I’ve had hyperemesis and generally a rotten pregnancy so just want to have the baby now.

Going to get bouncing on the ball more and start on the hot curries next week!

needanappp · 10/01/2019 12:34

Got really excited last night! Regular contractions for 3 hours! Started every 20 minutes then went to every 15 minutes, only mildly painful but I thought "hey they're the early ones".

NOPE JUST BRAXTON HICKS SadAngry

Honestly I can deal with waiting but she keeps getting my hopes up and then deciding she'll stay a bit longer in there!!

jadem1990 · 10/01/2019 12:42

I had exactly the same last night but just not for as long maybe more 2 hours. I was so excited and ready to get this show on the road. Turns out BH. I've had nothing much apart from aches today really!

needanappp · 10/01/2019 12:48

@jadem1990 it's bloody torture isn't it?! Never mind, they'll be here one way or another Sad

I'm just really hoping she comes of her own accord as facing possible induction for slow growth and I'd rather not have that but it is what it is I suppose!

Who knows maybe our waters will just go pop tonight Grin

Curlypop · 10/01/2019 13:08

I had a few hours of Braxton Hicks last night too. But lost slot of my plug this morning! Fingers crossed labour will begin soon. These babies have their own timetable though.

Olivecake · 14/01/2019 13:05

How is everyone getting on? Still nothing for me - not even a touch of Braxton Hicks. Really think this baby has no intentions of coming out!

needanappp · 14/01/2019 13:45

@Olivecake Sad you never know! I had absolutely no signs with my first. No loss of plug, no BH. Waters just broke of their own accord! Here's hoping that happens for you!

Don35 · 14/01/2019 13:56

Being overdue is horrible! I've had enough. I am so uncomfortable and now it's gotten to the point that I can't reach to wipe my bum properly. I've tried every and nothing is working. I really don't want to be induced again.

Olivecake · 14/01/2019 15:08

needanappp ooh that’s good to hear that you had no signs - fingers crossed it’s the same for me!

Don35 I hope something happens for you soon

jadem1990 · 14/01/2019 15:33

I've been having regular tightenings but no pain really so dont think anything is happening unfortunately... still waiting! X

jadem1990 · 15/01/2019 03:56

I spoke too soon! Waters broke at 10.30 but no pain! Had to go into hospital as I wasnt technically in labour when they broke. After a check up they concluded that waters have definitely gone and if my contractions dont start for 24 hours I'll have to go back in to be induced. Turns out contractions started nearly instantly and they are regular ar around 8 mins atm. No chance of sleep.... I wonder when our little one will arrive! X

rach2713 · 15/01/2019 04:54

I was due on the 13th Jan my contractions started at 2 this morning have left husband sleeping to see how bad they get need him well rested.

jadem1990 · 15/01/2019 06:03

That's exactly what I've done! I thought it was best that at least one of us sleeps. These contractions are intense, no sleep for me tonight at all! X

Olivecake · 15/01/2019 07:38

Oohh so exciting jade and rach - wishing you both lots of strength today and hoping it goes smoothly!

Don35 · 15/01/2019 08:23

Keep us updated! Excited for you both xx

Still nothing for me 😓

Cariadxx · 15/01/2019 08:55

@olivecake same here. 38 weeks today and head isn't even engagedSad , no BH but plenty of insomnia. I tend to wake around 3am for a wee then that's it until about 5 but DH gets up at half 6 so I'm screwed

AimseyR · 15/01/2019 09:08

So exciting @rach2713 and @jadem1990 hope all goes smoothly for you.

Good to hear it's not just me @Cariadxx, had midwife appt at 39+6 last week and head not engaged. Got another appt today, really hoping it is now...I'll be 41 weeks tomorrow Shock

needanappp · 15/01/2019 09:08

@jadem1990 @rach2713 congratulations both, sounds like you'll both have your LO's very soon!

Wishing you both a speedy and painless as possible labour haha!

Went for a scan&review yesterday and they reckon LO is in perfect position for birth and is very engaged. Sounds fab but I was told second babies don't engage until labour so I spent last night trying to Will myself into labour haha. I have a stubborn one already I think Grin

finchers · 15/01/2019 09:42

@Olivecake I nested the day before my baby was born! I remember looking around my lovely clean home and thinking 'god this house is vile' and had a massive spring clean, 8 hours later - whalllah!
