I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

Hi all...back now! My phone decided to give up on me...and now it won’t let me know if anyone says anything on the group!! Annoying!!! How is everyone? Glad you and babies are all well! We’ve just been putting the pram together at my parents! It looks so big compared to how small my little Tabitha will be!! Anyone else really struggling with sleep/heartburn?

Firsttimetobe2019 · 13/01/2019 17:12

@HidCat Gosh I wish I could let my partner nest for me😂 I went through all the clothes to try and throw stuff away yesterday as I have waaaay too many but couldn’t bring myself to it😂 I have from newborn all the way to 12 months😬oops! Will attach photo of them!

@Veuve1985 I did yesterday all day it was killer! I went through 4 pints of milk as it worked better than Rennies! I keep thinking that! My pushchairs quite big too, it’s going to be like putting a doll in a pram and pushing that around😍

@IrishAceyMac13 Oh I know. Thank god he’s gone but I still haven’t had a Thankyou! Or a Thankyou for having him. Been scrubbing at his kitchen again and not a peep

@firsttimetobe2019 have you tried remegel? They are like minty chews and don’t taste as chalky as gaviscon/rennie! Oh gosh I’ve been catching up- seems like you’ve had a horrid time! At least he’s out now!! We had to go shopping today, as were the opposite! We had no clothes!! But now we’ve got the pram sorted and cot/changing table coming tomorrow..just need to sort the nursery and get this chicco 3 in one thing that we’re looking at instead of Moses basket as it adjusts and has wheels- so I can wheel her about and make a cup of tea etc 😂 plus I got loads of stuff in the Aldi baby event like thermometer, bibs, and changing mats!

@hidcat I’ve just put my maternity request in- my due date is 22nd March, so I’m starting officially on the 10th March, but taking holiday before, so last day in the office is the 15th of Feb!! I thought that was loads of time! But I’m feeling so tired and heavy I wish I could start now!!

Veuve1985 · 13/01/2019 17:43

I’ve been out of the loop a bit- and loads of people have joined...so hi everyone, I’m lily, first baby due March 22nd and I’m getting tired of being pregnant! 😩🤷‍♀️😘

Firsttimetobe2019 · 13/01/2019 18:54

@firsttimetobe2019 I know!!! I love the fact that it’s literally a portable Moses basket! It’s expensive...but it looks like it does so much!!! I’m hoping to get some mothercare vouchers from my baby shower so hopefully can put a bit towards! Oh remegel has saved my life!! Although I’ve felt so poorly recently I’ve had a few days off work! I suddenly feel VERY pregnant!! Although everyone keeps saying I’m small for 30 weeks...I feel like a whale! (Whale pic inserted!) I didn’t show for ages and suddenly keep getting bigger! 😂🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤰🏼

If it’s true about hairy babies...I’m
Giving birth to a baboon!!! I suffer so badly!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 13/01/2019 20:52

@Veuve1985 I had to have a google and saw one for £160 ish but it’s only in a really nice aqua colour!
Today I feel like i’m huge! I think you look just about right for 30 weeks! I’ve only just clocked in 32 weeks soon! I’ve decided when I hit 37 weeks ish i’m going to try and start the motions😂 any tips, i’m gonna try the curry, the pineapple, ball, sex all sorts I don’t wanna be pregnant anymore😂🙄

Veuve1985 · 13/01/2019 21:25

@firsttimetobe2019 oooh £160 is good! Cheapest I’ve seen is £189! Oh my gosh! Absolutely!!! I hate being pregnant now...I’m so uncomfortable!! I’m 31 weeks on Thursday! We can tick everything off the list!! 😂

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 13/01/2019 22:23

Hope it is OK if I join I'm currently 28 weeks due 7th of April but I've been measuring 4 weeks ahead so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an earlier baby. I didn't find out till 15 weeks so at the first scan they said I was 16+3 but they said its so hard to get an accurate date that far on.
This is baby number 5 for me and my third girl. I can't believe how organised you all are, so far I've only got my pram, steriliser, about 6 outfits (from past experience I'm only getting baby grows this time) carseat, beanbag and a pack of nappies lol

HidCat · 14/01/2019 07:21

@Veuve1985 don't worry about the size of your bump - we all carry differently! I'm definitely getting more comments about being big and some women barely need maternity clothes, it's all good.

@Exhaustedmummy1811 congratulations and welcome, must've been a bit of a shock! Sounds like you've got a good start in things there so I wouldn't worry. We had all the basics from DS so cheated a bit lol.

Beherenow32 · 14/01/2019 07:49

@Veuve1985 I am 31 weeks, with quite a small bump. But baby feels so heavy and last midwife app I was actually measuring ahead. Think some babies sit far back.
I also finish up from work 15th of feb. But am struggling tbh!

@Exhaustedmummy1811 you sound organised to me! I have about the same as you, except nappies! X

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 14/01/2019 08:23

I had decided my youngest dc was absolutely going to be the last so I donated all my baby stuff as she was growing (she's 3 now) so this one came as a huge shock and I'm having to start again lol
It took me a while to get my head around but I'm so excited now but due date still feels so far away haha

Veuve1985 · 14/01/2019 08:26

@hidcat I did have comments saying I was tiny, but have suddenly ballooned! I do feel huge and uncomfortable!! @Beherenow32 I know exactly how you feel!! I’m so exhausted and ready for a relax!!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 14/01/2019 19:00

Hope all you ladies are doing well today!
Heartburn is back this evening with revenge! It feels like I could bend over and a load of acid would just pour out of me it’s hideous🤢 I received a letter today regarding my health visitor appointment- apparently she’s going to come 10-14 days after the baby’s born? I thought it was meant to be before? But what is this for?

OP posts:
Exhaustedmummy1811 · 14/01/2019 19:11

Some health visitors will introduce them selves before baby arrives but not usually. They start coming once the midwife discharges you they will weigh baby and do any checks until you feel well enough to go to clinic weigh ins

emzw12 · 14/01/2019 19:13

Have you finished work?
With DS I finished at 36 weeks and got bored! So this time I'm working until 38 weeks.

Veuve1985 · 14/01/2019 19:46

@firsttimetobe2019 I’m the exact same!!! Remegel is helping though!!! But it’s so bad!! 10-14 days seems a long time after? I’m sure my friend was visited literally within a few days!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 15/01/2019 10:07

Oh I see. I have no idea. I think the midwives around here seem to be a bit all over the place! I’m seeing midwife tomorrow so I will ask her.
I’ve just managed to start getting my hospital bag together as i’m a proper prepper😂 32 weeks today!😬
Is there any necessities that you’d recommend taking if you’ve done it before?!

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 15/01/2019 10:24

With a first it can take a while so I book or ipod is always good, I loved doing crosswords and reading take a break when I was in. Money for the vending machine, 3 of mine were born during the early hours the cafe was shut and they never offered me anything to eat but I was starving. And I always take my own pillow because I need home comforts haha

Firsttimetobe2019 · 15/01/2019 10:48

@Exhaustedmummy1811 we’re you on a midwife led unit! I’m hoping to go on the unit as I hear it’s much nicer but obviously can’t if there’s complications which I’m hoping there isn’t!
I’m a snack monster so i’ll probably take loads of my own snacks😂 and I couldn’t agree more with pillows and probably a blanket😂

Beherenow32 · 15/01/2019 14:01

@Firsttimetobe2019 I haven’t even thought about packing Hospital bag yet 🙈 I am also hoping to go to the birthing centre. As I’ve heard they’re cleaner and more relaxed x
