I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

Hi! Has anyone thought about hypnobirthing? Was wondering if there were any recommendations on apps? Thanks x

snoopy18 · 31/01/2019 21:28

@Beherenow32 take a look at The Positive Birthing Company

CaseofEllen · 01/02/2019 09:22

Hi!

I'm new to this, my baby boy (first and last baby for us!) is due 21st March - just wanted to pop on and say.. our babies are due next month!!

How is everyone feeling? I'm excited but getting super nervous for all the changes that are about to happen Confused

Hope you are all doing well x

Beherenow32 · 01/02/2019 09:30

@snoopy18 thank you. I have read good things about them on here actually. Will have a look.

@CaseofEllen hi. Congrats! We are all so close now! How have you found pregnancy? I’m feeling the same. So excited for baby but hoping we can cope with the craziness that is about to hit us! Lol (sleepless nights) x

CaseofEllen · 01/02/2019 09:43

@Beherenow32 thanks! You too!

I've found pregnancy okay. I had quite bad sickness until around 16 weeks and have had around 7 UTIs 🙄 I had cervical erosion and endometriosis beforehand so I've been under consultant led care but haven't found it particularly useful tbh. How about you? X

Beherenow32 · 01/02/2019 09:57

@CaseofEllen 7 uti sounds awful! Hope that’s it finished for you! Overall pregnancy has been good. I’m struggling now with feeling tired and getting sciatic pain. But I only have a couple week left (at reduced hours) until my mat leave. Can’t believe it! When will you start mat leave? X

CaseofEllen · 01/02/2019 10:03

@Beherenow32 not long to go for you now! What's your EDD? I actually left my job during pregnancy, I was a teacher but knew I didn't want to go back to it after baby! X

Beherenow32 · 01/02/2019 10:11

@CaseofEllen I’m due 15th of March, with a girl. Good for you! I’m hoping to go back part time. 🤞 xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 02/02/2019 10:45

Morning! Hope everyone is well!
My Drs surgery have royally fucked up my blood thinning injections prescription, I only have a weeks worth left and they don’t seem to understand that it’s life threatening if I run out of medication! I’m going into the surgery in person on Monday to shout at them and get it sorted!
I had a growth scan last week, wee chunky princess is currently estimated at 5lb6oz at 32 weeks! I also have another growth scan at 34 weeks as still getting reduced movements even though the traces are coming up fine. They want to check the cord as the injections I take can affect that. Got lots of appointments to attend over the next few weeks, they think it will be a miracle if I make it to 36 weeks lol!
I’m trying not to stress and just taking it day by day, very happy to be monitored so much though!

Beherenow32 · 02/02/2019 17:01

@IrishAceyMac13 hope they give you the right medication ASAP on Monday!! Sounds like baby is doing well. 😊 36 weeks is early, but it is very close to full term.
I would quite like another scan about now. But would have to pay, and I’ve already paid for a lot! Can feel baby wiggling about just now anyway, and midwife app next week.

So tired today. Wonder if I’ll ever manage to get organised for baby coming at this rate. X

IrishAceyMac13 · 02/02/2019 19:12

Gah back in hospital again! Being kept in overnight to monitor baby’s movements. When I was on the machine it kept saying criteria met then not met which it’s never done before! My Oxygen sats has dropped down to 89% too but all good again once I had my inhaler! I’ve barely felt her all day, but she’s just had a wild ten minutes!
They’ve put me on a ward with 6 other people and I hate it lol!

@beherenow32 - hopefully I’ll be able to sort the medication tomorrow from here when I’m discharged! She is growing nicely which is amazing considering all the issues i’m Having! I’ll be so glad when she’s here and I can keep an eye on her properly! That’s good that you can feel baby wiggling, the scans are addictive aren’t they!
I’m with you on the tiredness, I could sleep all day and all night! X

HidCat · 02/02/2019 21:13

@IrishAceyMac13 sorry you're back in but at least they're not taking any chances. Try to rest if you can, not always easy on a ward, I know!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 06/02/2019 23:05

Hi Ladies sorry I keep forgetting about the thread!
IM DUE IN UNDER 5 WEEKS! I’m so excited now and so bloody scared. I’m anxious to see midwife on Friday and speak about birth plans! She has been hugely active this evening and i’m feeling a lot of pressure just above my pubic area and achey hips! It’s very uncomfortable also my nipples are beginning to look like nipples again and have been more prominent than ever today! Not too sure if all this means anything or if i’m just over excited😂 I also have a scan the following Friday to see how big she’s looking😬 she hasn’t changed position since 28 weeks now either! (Head down and feet to my right)
I hope everyone’s doing ok! We are all so close!

@Firsttimetobe2019 what do you have in mind for your birth plan?
My bump is now measuring a week behind, but midwife didn’t seem concerned... baby is very low down though. Wonder if that means anything 😅 apart from that all going ok.

We are all very, very close to meeting babies now! X

Jojoevans · 07/02/2019 18:06

Due at the end of March and now on Mat leve due to the physicalness Of the job I did but man it’s boreing what’s everyone finding to do ?

Beherenow32 · 07/02/2019 18:43

@Jojoevans how long have you been off? Tomorrow is my last day, and I will be 35 weeks. Hoping to get hospital bag packed, and baby room sorted. But apart from that will probably just take it easy and do whatever I feel up to doing 😊 x

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/02/2019 19:16

@Beherenow32 - I’ve got my appointment to discuss that tomorrow! I’m hoping to be on the Midwife Led Unit the one down here is absolutely gorgeous 😍 I was considering water birth but looked into the pro’s and con’s and decided it’s not really for me!
I’m happy to stay on gas & air! I’m not going to try and be a champion; if I need more pain relief i’ll take it as i’ve been warned it’s likely i’ll be in back labour🙄😂
She was hugely active last night and had quietened down today but it still low and causing more pain with bigger kicks/stretches😂 Everyone carries differently so i’m not sure what my bumps saying but she’s making me waddle 😂

@Jojoevans I have prepped like the worlds going to end just to keep busy! I’ve redecorated and all sorts😂

@Firsttimetobe2019 I didn’t write a birth plan with my midwife. She just asked me quickly what I would like, and I said that I would like to go to the Midwife Lead Centre. I’m thinking when I go into labour, I will check if there is space for me when I phone in! 🤞 enjoy making your plan. That’s exciting.
Oh yeah, I’m going to actually batch cook, and buy in loads of food and snacks for after baby here. X

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/02/2019 19:51

@Beherenow32 Ooooh? She said that’s what she said we’re going to do. My midwife said she’ll book me in to see the unit aswell!
I think i’m going to batch cook as partner works 3pm- 10pm, I’m used to eating that late but don’t want to be cooking so late with baby’ but I have no idea what to make! Any ideas?!

Beherenow32 · 07/02/2019 20:17

@Firsttimetobe2019 they don’t book you in here, as they don’t know when you will give birth (that was midwife’s Words lol), so if there is a room available at the time, I can use it. I will just be leaving it up to fate!

I’ve thought of a few meals but need more variety! Chilli, bolagnaise, curry, burgers. Will put meat and frozen veg in freezer, and possibly a lot of pasta and pasta sauces! Hoping others have more suggestions! Xx

Jojoevans · 08/02/2019 10:34

I have been off since Christmas been feeling sick right from the start now 33 weeks it was so hard to work when feeling sick all the time ! Not got a lot done yet but starting to feel a bit more normal lately thankfully just bord now.

HidCat · 08/02/2019 18:23

Is anyone else just over thinking everything? I've got 4 weeks left in work and one minute I'm worried I'll have baby early then I'm worried that I'm going to be waiting ages once mat leave starts. I keep wanting to get the playmat out and the boy cub hair and then realising we're just going to be tripping over everything if I do that lol. Hopefully the next 4 weeks will go quite quickly.

Beherenow32 · 08/02/2019 18:52

@HidCat I think they are fair enough things to worry about! I have started maternity earlier (using holidays first) than I first planned. But I feel like I need it. And when baby comes is completely not in my control, so I’m not thinking about that too much. Going to use this time to get things ready before baby... and lots of rest in between!
How many weeks will you be when you finish? X

Beherenow32 · 08/02/2019 20:14

@HidCat although I did feel guilty taking time for myself before baby is here! But life will change forever after that! No more time for myself 😅

HidCat · 09/02/2019 19:43

@Beherenow32 I'll be 39 weeks so it's not that I'm finishing particularly early, just planned to work right to the end. Last time I left work at 5pm and he was here by 5am which was perfect in my mind but I had the easiest pregnancy! I'm definitely feeling it more this time around. How far along are you now?
