Symptoms around 4-5 weeks

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 10:52

Hey,

Found out we are pregnant with DC2 on Wednesday, which would make me around 4-5 weeks pregnant. However had a few symptoms before missed period, so done a test on Wednesday which was positive! However since then everything has calmed down, even the tender boobs have eased today! Our DD1 is 2 so seems so long ago to even remember what is was like to be pregnant so basically, anyone out there any advice/reassurance! Is this normal? Thanks.

Yeah it sounds normal! I think symptoms kick in between weeks 5-6 usually. Congratulations!

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 17:58

Thanks MakeAWish, it's nice for the reassurance Smile

I found out I was pregnant this morning (4+1)....it was a shock as I didn’t really have any symptoms. My breasts were very, very sore last week, but not so bad when I tested this morning. I was completely baffled given my loss of symptoms!! In fact, so much so, I did another 4 tests. The lady in Boots thought I’d lost my mind (i had a total of 8 tests in my hands and a Cadbury’s twirl lol).
Let’s just be grateful for not too many awful symptoms at the moment - from what I’ve read, things get a whole lot more hormonal at around 6 weeks!!! My poor partner - I’ve already been a nightmare :) xxx

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 18:56

Congratulations Thanks lovetapdancing! I haven't done any more tests since Wednesdays but may do another one tomorrow to be sure! I feel a bit ugh tummy wise but don't know if that's pregnancy related or from the crap I've been eating the last couple of days! Is this your first pregnancy?

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 24/11/2018 19:35

Do it squeakybubbles!! Test away. I’ve done at least 4 today :)
The woman in Boots looked at me in a very odd manner indeed (I was clutching 8 pregnancy tests though and a Cadbury’s Twirl!!)
Congratulations to you too! How far along are you? Maybe we could cheer each other on?!
I don’t have any live births - 2 miscarriages sadly and now this pregnancy. Here’s hoping this one works out :) How about you? xx

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 24/11/2018 19:37

Oh heck Squeakybubbles - Just re-read your post!! Is this baby brain already lol:)

This is your second - congratulations!!! Here’s to a symptom-free and healthy 9 months to us both xx

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 24/11/2018 19:39

Oh and my boobs are just the same - totally more manageable in the last few days - almost making me think the dreaded witch (or another miscarriage) is around the corner!!

Don’t worry about eating crap too much, so long as there’s some vegetable matter somewhere in the next few days.....I’ve just ordered a pizza!!! Xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 20:32

Sorry for your previous miscarriages. Huge fingers crossed for you for a healthy 9 months ahead! Pizza sounds good! I did manage some broccoli for tea! Ha! I think I'm about 4 + 3 but my periods were never 100% regular to be sure! Just the next long 8 weeks ahead!

Congratulations! I’m 4+2. Only symptoms I’ve got are sore breasts and extremely bloated! X

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 21:36

Congratulations giraffe888. Is this your first pregnancy?

sammi0805 · 24/11/2018 21:52

Hi I am around 4 weeks with number 2. I am having the worst stretchy pains in my tummy already which I understand is normal with your second. Also my jeans feel tight already 🙈

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 21:53

@sammi0805 my god I thought it was the food I was eating but I've had to wear let's say the comfy trousers all day!

Yes it is! X

MakeAWhish · 24/11/2018 22:40

I'm 4w6d and am bloated, tired, and tonight I've been really grumpy but that's probably nothing to do with the pregnancy 😂
It's my third baby, so am fully expecting to be showing quite early on and spend the next 8 months being told
I'm massive, like in my previous 2 pregnancies. See! I'm so grumpy tonight!
I have some pulling pains in my lower abdomen and on and off dull cramps too.

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 24/11/2018 23:47

Congratulations giraffe :) And to you Make a Whish.....hopefully we’ll all have a healthy (if not slightly bloated) 9 months!!! I ate 2 slices of pizza and felt like I’d swallowed a beach ball?!! Normally I can eat a whole one with no problems :)
And then the flatulence....has anyone experienced this?!! Good grief. It could clear a room!!!

Glad you managed some broccoli squeakybubbles - you did way better than me tonight!! Grin

Hi all, I’d like to join your chat. I found out last weekend after taking a hpt which had a very faint line. Took another which was faint again so I went to the dr Monday and had a blood test which confirmed it. I’m 5+3. So far I have sore breasts and am a little more tired then usual and have to pee more often. This is my first and I am high risk as I have hypothyroid and am 35 so I’m nervous. I hope we all have sticky beans.

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 07:01

@MakeAWhish you have an excuse to be grumpy! This pregnancy malarkey is a worry and if you feel groggy it's even worse!

@Giraffe888 Aw how lovely, the fun and games begin now!

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I thought I had issues with the amount of wind I had, and needing to pop to the toilet feeling like I need to go (if you know what I mean)!

@bemybabe congratulations! I just done another test (literally) and yet again another faint line. However this year seems on the wonky side. I'll see if I can attach an image as it's not in the middle. I didn't know you could get a blood test to confirm your pregnancy at the doctors, how long does it take to get your results? Good luck though and hope you have a healthy 9 months ahead.

And as per usual I forgot to add the test! Hmm

@squeakybubbles26 that’s definitely positive! X

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 07:57

Eek thanks @Giraffe888! When it was more in the light to it looked darker! Think I'm just worrying myself. I didn't think I'd be like this as DD keeps me busy however my mind keeps working over time ah!

OP posts:
Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 08:30

I’ve never seen many with strong dark lines so don’t worry! X

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 08:36

Thanks @Giraffe888
How you feeling today?

OP posts:
Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 08:39

Still very bloated and uncomfortable! Felt very slightly sick after I had my breakfast. You? X

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 09:19

My bloating has calmed down and typically feel fine today. Mind you I remember many times with DD1 that I had good days and didn't actually feel pregnant! Has your sicky feeling calmed down now?

OP posts:
Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 10:29

I only felt sick for a few mins. I’m not as bloated today either x
