Symptoms around 4-5 weeks

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 10:52

Hey,

Found out we are pregnant with DC2 on Wednesday, which would make me around 4-5 weeks pregnant. However had a few symptoms before missed period, so done a test on Wednesday which was positive! However since then everything has calmed down, even the tender boobs have eased today! Our DD1 is 2 so seems so long ago to even remember what is was like to be pregnant so basically, anyone out there any advice/reassurance! Is this normal? Thanks.

Only symptom I have today is sore boobs! My mood has lifted, which my family are very grateful for 😂

Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 11:20

I had so little patience yesterday!!! X

MakeAWhish · 25/11/2018 11:28

Same @Giraffe888 DP went out for a few drinks and came back half cut and I wanted to murder him. Especially when he tried it on just as I got into bed 😂😂 He seriously read hose signs wrong 😂😂

Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 11:38

😂😂 we had my DSS yesterday and I’m usually so patient with him but I certainly wasn’t yesterday!!! I like how we’re all due around the same time x

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 25/11/2018 13:17

It’s lovely how we’re all due around the same time - absolutely agree!

I laughed about your night last night with your other half, MakeaWhish!! He definitely got his knickers in a knot there lol:) Mine was snoring in my ears all night as I had the most terrible insomnia!! At least he didn’t try to mount me though...that could’ve ended badly!!

Other than feeling absolutely shattered and slightly sore boobs, that’s it for me today. Nothing other to report. Although I have done another test just to make extra sure....there are times in the day when I just don’t feel pregnant at all!!

Take care everyone and have a lovely peaceful Sunday xxx

@squeekybubbles26 I went to a private dr and said I had two faint positives and they gave me one of their urine tests which was also faint so they took blood to confirm. They put it in a spinner and it takes about 10 mins. Seemed like forever.
But they did also say to me (and it said on the pack of my hpt) that even if the line is faint it’s definitely positive.
I’m so tempted to do one now (a week later) to see if it’s a stronger line but then what would be the point.

bemybabe · 25/11/2018 13:26

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I haven’t really felt pregnant other than sore and growing boobs either. I had a really busy day at work on Friday and only when I left work did I remember about the little bean and I felt terrible about it. I almost wish I had proper symptoms to know he/she is in there.
Has anybody booked or thinking about booking an early scan?

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 13:34

Haha @MakeAWhish that did make me chuckle, unlucky hubby! However that's the last thing in my mind!

I do agree it's lovely and great we're all due around the same time! Nice to share the experience with others!

I'm starting to feel a little sicky after eating, and acidy in my throat nice!

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I know I want to do more and more tests but glad a positive line is showing on the ones I've done so must try and relax!

@bemybabe I see thanks for the heads up! I prob won't book an early scan they aren't that keen around here unfortunately to provide them unless I paid :/

I've booked a private viability scan which is 2 weeks today when I'll be 7 weeks exactly by lmp. But I reckon I'm 4/5 days behind as I ov'd on day 18/19. But it says you can see a heartbeat from 6 weeks. It's bloody expensive but I just can't wait til 12 weeks 😬

Giraffe888 · 25/11/2018 14:35

We’ve got a private scan booked for 17th Dec when I’ll be 7+6. I can’t wait until 12wks! X

bemybabe · 25/11/2018 15:45

@Giraffe888 I have a scan on 15 December when I’ll be 8+3. I’m just counting down the days until then.

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 18:39

Ah you've all got scans booked, I'm in 2 minds whether to book one. I didn't first time round. Bloody long wait mind!

MakeAWhish · 25/11/2018 18:42

@Squeakybubbles26 I'm surprised by how many of us have booked early private scans! With my other 2, 10 and 7 years ago, it was the norm to just wait until 12 weeks. I didn't, but there weren't any private companies that offered it as far as I'm aware. I rang the EPU and asked if I could pay for one - and they were happy to oblige x

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 18:50

@MakeAWhish it seems a long wait. Wishful and positive thinking ahead!

I think you guys have got it sorted...I’m going to call up tomorrow and book one for when I’m around 7 weeks. I’m guessing they’ll be able to detect a heartbeat at that point, will they?
I hate that they call it a viability scan, though. I remember that from when I had a miscarriage in 2016....sent away with the words “non viable pregnancy” ringing in my ears!!!! Good grief.
How’s everyone feeling this evening? I started the day feeling tip top and then it’s been a downhill spiral since lunchtime - really nauseous!!! And proper shattered xx

MakeAWhish · 25/11/2018 19:04

@lovetapdancingandrainbows yeah the place I booked says the earliest you can see the heartbeat is 6 weeks. I know what you mean about the term 'viability scan', I don't like it either. X

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 19:13

I agree it's a horrible term to call it. @lovetapdancingandrainbows did you have any symptoms for you to suspect you were miscarrying?
I've felt a bit groggy today, the odd sicky feeling but nothing to drastic.

What's everyone's EDD? I know we're all due around the same time.x

OP posts:
bemybabe · 25/11/2018 19:38

My EDD is 24 July. I’m worried that you guys all have more symptoms than I do. I don’t really feel sick at all just a bit more tired. Went to the gym for a bit today and needed a little sit down when I got back but that’s it. Since this is my first time being pregnant I would also like to know what to look out for. As far as i know just bleeding and abdominal pain?

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 19:46

@bemybabe I don't think my symptoms are drastic, so I wouldn't worry! Yesterday When I started the thread I was worrying that I felt pretty normal. It's hard as I don't know if my symptoms are pregnancy related or just feeling a bit pants. I'm not even feeling any more tired than normal if anything I'm more awake??? This week will be the test as I'm at work to keep myself busy, so whether I feel anything there when I'm distracted! x

OP posts:
lovetapdancingandrainbows · 25/11/2018 21:05

I’ve had some symptoms today, but other than the slightly sore boobs (which come and go), not much really, so please don’t worry!

I’ve had some very light brown discharge, which has worried me a little. When I was miscarrying though, this turned from brown to red very quickly, so I guess I knew the writing was on the wall so to speak. My second miscarriage was weird - it was a ‘blighted ovum’ and therefore the sac was still present, but there was no baby inside. The worst part of this was still feeling completely pregnant up until my scan. Because my body didn’t want to ‘give up the pregnancy’ naturally, I had to opt for medical intervention, which wasn’t very pleasant.

God, I hope this one’s alright in there - with no children so far, I feel like this is a bit of a miracle baby!! It’s taken me since August 2016 to conceive this one (so a fair old while!!) xxx

Squeakybubbles26 · 25/11/2018 21:12

Thank you for sharing @lovetapdancingandrainbows I can't imagine what you went through. Big fingers crossed that this pregnancy is all plain sailing for you; even if a little bumpy at times! The brown discharge I know you can get old blood the time your due on so that could make sense, mixed in with the discharge prob looks worse and more than there actually is. On Monday when I wiped (sorry tmi) I had slight tinge of brown discharge so thought great af was coming but thankfully nothing since! My boobs are feeling normal too :( hopefully you can get a early scan booked xx

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I am sorry to hear you had to go through all that. Thank you for sharing. This shows that you can’t really know and we just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope our beans are doing ok. Star

MakeAWhish · 25/11/2018 22:45

EDD is 28th July

CookieWaffle · 26/11/2018 07:22

Hi ladies, I'm a little early to be on here but got my BFP this weekend and my symptoms don't seem to be the same as anyone else on the internet! I've read alot about how it's normal to have no symptoms this early but for those that do, most seem to have really sore boobs. Well mine are totally fine, however I've had constant nausea and cramps since 4dpo, sometimes quite strong. I was starting to think there's something really wrong with me and was debating about going to see docs. AF is due tomorrow so wasn't sure whether to wait it out.

And lovetapdancingandrainbows I saw your other post, I'm 40 too, excited and scared at the same time!

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 07:23

Morning ladies.

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I’ve everything crosses that this pregnancy goes smoothly for you.

Thankfully where I’m going don’t call it a ‘viability scan’ as that really is awful!

I’m back to work today after a week off x
