Symptoms around 4-5 weeks

Squeakybubbles26 · 24/11/2018 10:52

Hey,

Found out we are pregnant with DC2 on Wednesday, which would make me around 4-5 weeks pregnant. However had a few symptoms before missed period, so done a test on Wednesday which was positive! However since then everything has calmed down, even the tender boobs have eased today! Our DD1 is 2 so seems so long ago to even remember what is was like to be pregnant so basically, anyone out there any advice/reassurance! Is this normal? Thanks.

I meant to say I’m due 30th July x

MakeAWhish · 26/11/2018 09:02

Welcome and congrats @CookieWaffle !

qwertt12 · 26/11/2018 10:43

Hi! I just wanted to jump on this! I have had slight backache and headaches but no sore boobs or really much
Little cramping
But I have now missed my period

I am far too nervous to do a test as I don't want it to be negative

Will test with partner later

If I am pregnant would this be okay? Not having sore boobs??

JoshMumsnet · 26/11/2018 13:59

Hi,

We asked a midwife to go over some of the early signs of pregnancy - hope is useful!

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 26/11/2018 18:19

Hi all! How we doing today?!

I’ve been at work and feel shattered - felt nauseous around 2pm but wore off thanks to my friends the digestive biscuits!!

Got my midwife appointment scheduled for 19th December - am excited but nervous :)

Also, managed to book an early scan for next Monday. Just to put my mind at rest. It’s capable of all sorts of mischief at the moment - mainly worrying myself half to death that I’ll have another miscarriage again. Good grief.

And congratulations cookie waffle!! Great news.

Oh. And my EDD is 28th July 2019..excited much (with some luck!!) xxx

Squeakybubbles26 · 26/11/2018 19:23

Congratulations @CookieWaffle

How did the testing go @qwertt12? A good sign is def a missed period, and from what it seems not everyone has the same symptoms (would be so much easier if everyone felt the same)!

Great news @lovetapdancingandrainbows I need to call the midwife to be honest will have to do that on my day off mind I case any ears hear at work! It's so easy to worry and I can understand why you are! Positive thoughts Smile

I've started to feel some twinges today, the odd back pain today. However been mental busy so that could be related to that?! Who knows! Boobs hurt to touch, are they meant to be sore to touch or all the time??

OP posts:
Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 19:29

@squeakybubbles26 mine are only sore if I touch them.

Has anyone got tiredness yet? I haven’t x

qwertt12 · 26/11/2018 19:31

@Squeakybubbles26

Thanks for asking!

Sadly got a not pregant on the clear blue

Gutted having an early night and a bag of buttons

Hope everyone eles is okay! Enjoy your sore boobs 😱 never thought I would say that! ❤️❤️

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 26/11/2018 20:09

Sorry to hear your news qwertt12. I feel your pain - after trying since my miscarriage in August 2016, I know how it feels to think “this is definitely my month”. I really do. I really didn’t think it would ever happen for me - this month I just felt like I was going to start my usual monthly cycle...my word, what a surprise! It’s true what everyone says: the minute you stop trying and thinking it’s “not going to happen”, the more likely it is to happen! You’ll get there. I know it.

Squeakybubbles - my boobs fluctuate between being mega sore to only sore when I poke them!! And yes, the tiredness has hit me, but I’m with you - I think it’s only because I’ve had an epic day at work!! And had a couple of twinges in my back and womb area...at times I thought my period was coming!!

Giraffe888 · 26/11/2018 20:50

@qwertt12 you never know until AF arrives! X

Squeakybubbles26 · 26/11/2018 21:08

@Giraffe888 that's like me. I'm not tired either I was more tired before pregnancy?! Can that even be right lol! X

@qwertt12 sorry to hear that. However like @Giraffe888 said wait until AF shows up! I remember trying with DD one I hated it every month, the month I tried maka and pre seed I caught - was it a coincidence I don't know though or as I relaxed more.x

@lovetapdancingandrainbows I keep thinking my period is coming as it feels like something is 'down there' however when I go to the loo it's only the lovely tmi discharge. I don't know if it cos I'm worrying or thinking I don't feel pregnant I just feel like something is going to happen and i don't want to feel that way :( x

Squeakybubbles26 · 27/11/2018 06:44

Fab thanks xxx

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 28/11/2018 18:07

How’s everyone today?! I was mega tired this morning (but think I’ve been doing too much at work!). Felt extremely pregnant this morning, but by this afternoon, I felt totally normal again!! What on Earth is this all about?

I’m totally panicking about having another miscarriage!! I know there’s nothing I can do if things don’t work out though :( Just living for that scan on Monday - hopefully I’ll get the all clear then (which might help me chill the heck out a little!!).

Am planning an early night tonight and hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow. Sending lots of love to everyone on this wet and windy evening xxx

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/11/2018 18:27

My first symptom was a metallic taste in my mouth.. had this for a week between about 3 and 4 weeks pregnant before I took the test

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 28/11/2018 18:38

Oh god...I’ve started cramping and spotting a little brown discharge. I’m really keeping everything crossed and trying not to panic lol :) xx

Giraffe888 · 28/11/2018 18:58

I’m feeling more tired today! Had my flu jab this afternoon too x

Giraffe888 · 28/11/2018 18:59

@lovetapdancingandrainbows try not to panic as brown discharge is apparently ok as it’s old blood x

MakeAWhish · 28/11/2018 19:36

@lovetapdancingandrainbows how many weeks are you? As pp said, brown blood isn't usually a cause for major concern xx

lovetapdancingandrainbows · 28/11/2018 19:48

Thanks guys! Am trying not to, but when you’ve had miscarriages before and been trying for over 2 years, it’s hard not to get a bit frazzled with every little bit of weird discharge and symptom lol:) I don’t know what’s worse; trying to ‘spot’ your symptoms every month for your bfp or getting there and worrying about losing it!

Am turning grey (more so than usual!) now I think xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 28/11/2018 19:59

Try not to worry @lovetapdancingandrainbows like @Giraffe888 said brown blood is old. But can totally understand why your anxious and worries. Fingers crossed for you!

Either I've worked to hard today or feeling pregnant! Got a headache, aching and the odd tummy twinge. But my job is very hands on and up/down all day so that doesn't help! And cor running around after a 2 year old doesn't help!

Mind you my 2 year old isn't helping the tired situation at the moment. Apparently sleep isn't fun no more! Hmm

OP posts:
lovetapdancingandrainbows · 28/11/2018 22:21

Thanks Squeakybubbles - I’ll try not to stress too much!! Am learning to relax a little this evening :)
Oh bless you - is there any way you can take it a little easier at work? Sounds like our tiredness came on the same day! I could barely get out of bed this morning!! Not much you can do about the 2 year old though :) Sending you hugs and hope the DC has let you have a little bit of rest Flowers xx

Squeakybubbles26 · 29/11/2018 06:30

@lovetapdancingandrainbows glad your feeling a little bit more relaxed! Cor I'm feeling anxious as it is, so for yourself it must be harder. Positive thoughts though, you do hear all these positive stories how people go on to have healthy pregnancies! Unfortunately it's just the waiting game Sad

Work, unfortunately not really at this stage. I haven't told anyone I'm pregnant yet so can't really have any reason to sit back! It's do able and I have a team just some days are busier than others.

DD must of felt your vibes last night as she decided to let me sleep (all night)! So smiles all around here! x

OP posts:
lovetapdancingandrainbows · 29/11/2018 13:01

Ah....that’s good news Squeakybubbles!!! Am so pleased - I’ll continue with the positive vibes today too (you never know, you might get another good night’s sleep again with any luck!!).

Decided to take another ClearBlue week’s test - it said 3+ weeks this morning oh my god!! It only said 1-2 weeks at the weekend!!! Think I can relax just a little bit better now :)
Hopefully you’re having a good day at work...I caved and told some folks as I really needed the support :)
Xx
