New thread, perhaps might be useful to all post an update of history and where we're at now?

Hope he can continue to stay with you. My love to you both. Glad movements okay, makes such a difference. I started panicking earlier as it was constant yesterday and had nothing for hours this eve after we got home even when lying in my usual rest position. Drank freezing cold water and did my breathing and then had 10 good kicks in 3.5 minutes. Just messes with your head! Yesterday I was shattered and barely moved, just slept and watched tv but today been up and about so that’s prob why the difference.

No such thing as tmi, let’s hope that explains it. So much better to be safe though. What’s a trace? An over the belly monitoring thing? Big relief cervix is all looking good.

Hope you’re comfy and have everything you need. You’re in the best place, hope they’re looking after you xxx

Miami81 · 17/12/2018 05:21

@AnneLovesGilbert yep the trace is the sensor that they strap onto you. It was hard as that was what they were trying to do on the day we found out that dd had died.
Bit of an unsettled night but got a few hours sleep which was more then I expected.
Thank you.
Yes the doing lot can make you think they aren't moving, when In fact you just aren't feeling them as much. Which is a total head melt.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/12/2018 11:02

Glad you got some rest @Miami81. Have you been seen this morning? How are you feeling?

Miami81 · 17/12/2018 11:31

Yes been seen and been to the loo and no sign of anymore funny discharge. So they are happy for me to leave. Just waiting on a discharge letter.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/12/2018 11:46

Oh good, that's a relief. When's your next scheduled appointment? Hope your head's okay, must have so distressing but sounds like it's been all good news and hopefully you'll be home soon, comfy and resting up and getting some sleep. Are you off work anyway now?

I'm so so desperate for a break Sad

Miami81 · 17/12/2018 13:30

Yep @AnneLovesGilbert I'm off work until Christmas now. And I am home now, just gonna have a nap now. Have ante natal class later so need to get some kip beforehand.

whiteonesugar · 17/12/2018 14:35

Just popping in to update, I am 12+2 today and dating scan and nuchal tests on Wednesday. I am quite scared, but a little excited in the name of being positive.

AnneLovesGilbert · 17/12/2018 15:31

It's very exciting @whiteonesugar! Will think of you. What time are you in? I've got a growth scan Wednesday morning. Can't believe we've lasted all this time without buckling and getting a private peek Smile

Sure it'll all go really well! Take a snack in your bag, might be quite busy. Let us know how you get on.

whiteonesugar · 17/12/2018 15:33

I have had 3 EPU scans at 6 / 8 and 10 weeks but still nervous! Not until lunchtime, i will defo need a snack I cant be satisfied at the mo!

Paranormalbouquet · 18/12/2018 13:07

Hi everyone, sorry I haven’t checked in. Baby feeding was going badly and the baby blues kicked in but all has improved now.

Curly I’m so sorry.

Miami and Anne glad all is well.

Anxious congratulations! And White delighted to see all is well.

Labmum · 19/12/2018 10:43

Hope all goes well today @whiteonesugar.

Lovely to hear from you @paranormal, glad you are feeling a bit better, those early days are so so tough, just a fog of exhaustion and hormones.

@anxious I hope all is going well with you and baby!

@Miami81 glad all was well, hope you're feeling better from all the mixed emotions and craziness that being on the ward will have involved.

@Anne and @hopeful hope all is well with both of you.

All well here just busy, DS seems to be going through a "deaf" phase which is definitely testing my patience, think the lack of naps is definitely taking its toll on both of us. Hopefully having DH and family around to keep him busy over Christmas will give us both a bit of breathing space although we're thinking about tackling potty training while nursery is shut so that could be interesting!

I’m scared. Scan in half hour. Just getting ready to leave. Scared scared scared.

And already need a wee which is ideal.

beanhunter · 19/12/2018 12:18

Everything crossed for you scan
Glad you are home Miami

Plodding along here. 23 weeks today and I know most people get excited getting near 24 but having worked in a neonatal unit the next few weeks scare the crap out of me. Still have hyperemesis and not gained weight but have a bump and movements most days so that’s helped some of the anxiety. Still utterly unconvinced I’ll be taking home a baby though.

whiteonesugar · 19/12/2018 12:38

It went perfectly! Phew! Moved by 2 days. I have a tilted uterus so pics were difficult but got some decent ones and the sonographer was fab.

Phew phew phew.

AnneLovesGilbert · 19/12/2018 13:41

Fantastic news @whiteonesugar! Was thinking of you but no signal in the hospital. All looking good? It's such a big milestone.

What news Miami? Feeling okay and everything back to normal?

Lovely to hear from you Para Smile Feeding getting easier? Sending a hug.

Movements and a bump are so reassuring bean, sorry you're still suffering Sad Look after yourself as much as you can.

Good luck lab! Hope you get some help over the break and you get some rest. When are you going on leave?

Had my growth scan this morning, was amazing Smile

Still boring as anything, literally spot on to the day, tummy and bladder full, flailing limbs, placenta high on the left, fluid levels all good. Transverse I think he said? Didn't get a chance to look at the paperwork before dashing into work. Also got a prescription for my heartburn which has been so rough the last few days I've really struggled to eat anything. Fx!

whiteonesugar · 19/12/2018 13:54

Yes all looking fab, nuchal good and thin too. Baby didn’t move at first but I had a wiggle and it was jumping all over the place.

Paranormalbouquet · 19/12/2018 16:18

Thanks everyone, baby blues hit really hard this time. Probably because of all the anxiety and stress in pregnancy followed by a tough delivery. I was really looking forward to a nice newborn period but ended up with a non latching baby, readmission and no sleep for days. I was being a bit silly about breastfeeding, but having done it before for over 2 years I was desperate to do it again. As I know how easy and convenient it can be. After a lot of support and a snipped tongue tie we appear to have succeeded in getting her to the breast although still needs some work on latch. Feeling great the last few days.

Congratulations on the good scans White and Anne. I’ll keep checking in to hopefully follow everyone’s news.

Miami81 · 19/12/2018 19:30

@whiteonesugar that's great news, so glad for you.
@AnneLovesGilbert woohoo on a simply boring growth scan. Well done.
@Paranormalbouquet sorry it's been a bit of a battle, I hope this is the start of everything settling for you now.
@beanhunter I found the bit around 24 weeks and up to now (27+5) really tough. I think the reality of a super preemie given that dd had died at 27 weeks really weighed on my mind for that whole time. Still not over it but each day now I know that she is closer to being in a proper viable place iykwim.
All seems ok here. I'm a bit all over the place this week, I think being kept in over night has made me a bit crazy.
Baby has spent today stabbing my cervix or bouncing on it or something and it is really freaking me out. Movements have been ok but not wonderful all day but I know now that she does have quieter days occasionally. Just having a lie down and gonna track them properly for a bit to see how they are.

Labmum · 20/12/2018 12:04

Hope all was ok with movements last night @Miami, its such a worry, sometimes I have a bit of a panic that I've not felt her but its just because I've been really busy and she has been moving I just couldn't feel it as much or I've been distracted so it didn't register! Usually doing bedtime with my DS is when she'll reassure me. Maybe she likes listening to us talking and me reading stories to him? He likes lying next to me and feeling her kick while he has a bedtime cuddle too.

Glad you're feeling better @paranormal, I know what you mean about the breastfeeding thing, I did it with my DS so have just presumed I will again but she might have other ideas. DS was rubbish at latching at first although part of me thinks it was because he went too long without feeding as I got no support for the first 18hrs by which point his blood sugars were low and he was just screaming hungry and too frustrated to "get it" so I'm planning to be much more proactive with my buzzer if I'm struggling this time and want her latching within the first hour (ideally nearer 10 mins).....we'll see.

Glad the growth scan went well @Anne, nice and boring is what we like!

@hopeful, any sign of little movement yet? With DS it felt like when I got a twitchy eye but it was in my tummy, then with this one it felt like something was stretching (but those movements were only really noticable as I knew from DS what they felt like IYSWIM).

Hi everyone. Not sure why but I haven't been getting notifications. Hope you're all well and enjoying the run up to Xmas. I'm just getting ready for night shift. Such a thought! I have been feeling some flutters. Mostly when lying still in bed. I can't wait to feel proper movements. Next scan isn't til 23rd Jan. Feels like ages away!

Miami81 · 22/12/2018 22:34

Hi there. We are currently sat in the maternity assessment unit. Ctg was fine. Baby started leaping around like a leapfrog as soon as they put the monitor on.
We are waiting on a scan for liquor volume at the moment, there has been an emergency and there are no doctors around apparently.
I am glad we came up though. There was no way I was sleeping tonight if we didn't come for a check.

Hopefulforourrainbow · 22/12/2018 23:25

Hope you're ok @miami

Labmum · 23/12/2018 07:12

Hope you're ok @Miami and eventually got some sleep! X

Hi there lovelies. All ok. We made it home at around 2am. The doctor who eventually saw us looked completely shattered by life and was apologising for keeping us waiting. I just said that if any two people get how important whatever emergency they were dealing with was then it's us. We had our ctg hours before and knew that baby was ok, they just wanted to make sure that there was no worrying signs on the scan before letting us go home.
