Currently 11+1, no children 3rd pregnancy had a natural loss at 7 weeks in Jan and a loss at 14 weeks in June but baby sadly died at 9 was a mmc and had to have medical. Had a gigantic bleed and passed a clot last Wednesday went for a scan and baby was fine wiggling away and they had no idea where the bleed had come from told me to go home and carry on as usual. Bleeding tailed off, went brown but I've had coloured discharge ever since. Today about 11ish I felt a gush and when I sat on the toilet blood just poured out of me this has continued all day, still going now and I've just passed a clot slightly bigger than a 50p. No pain at all and I have booked a private scan for tomorrow morning. Any positive experiences or outcomes?! Really can't handle mc#3 :(

Oh you poor poor thing.

I had constant bleeding from around week 6 to week 12. And like, lots and lots of blood. Had a healthy full term baby.

Fingers crossed for you OP.

TheDuchessOfSex · 27/10/2018 17:03

I also had no pain at all. It was subchorionic haematoma, it turned out.

xJune88 · 27/10/2018 17:06

I've had 5 scans already this pregnancy a small bleed was seen at 7 weeks when I was having brown discharge but then epu and private said it had disappeared. Have a 6th scan tomorrow. Just exhausted from all the worrying and what ifs. It's my mum's birthday on Monday and wanted to tell her then as she was my rock in the first 2 losses and I lost my Dad in May so life has been shit. Really want and need this little bean!! X

Yes, painless red bleeding with DS1 throughout 1st trimester. All was well. Best of luck x

Allthebubbles · 27/10/2018 17:08

I had the same at 10 weeks- massive hush of blood v scary, it was the same as the previous poster. I think it was an area about 1cm by 7 cm that was affected. The advice I was given was to take it v easy till 14 weeks and that as the uterus grows so rapidly at this point it kind of seals itself off through the pressure.
Mine was a one off but I know a few people whose bleeding went on for a while and their babies were fine. Good luck with everything it's such a rollercoaster.

bellsbuss · 27/10/2018 17:09

Yes at nearly 17 weeks , there was so much blood I was convinced I was losing the baby. Went to the hospital for a scan and he was moving around without a care in the world. Carried on bleeding on and off for the next 3-4 weeks. Was told it was unexplained bleeding and was quite common. I remember my heart pounding with fear and shaking uncontrollably.

Allthebubbles · 27/10/2018 17:10

Rush not hush.
Just read your update- I also had a stupid number of scans as it was an IVF pregnancy- then I had a small bleed and then the big one. By the 12 week scan I think it was my 6th scan.

Jjbay · 27/10/2018 17:11

Yes I did ALOT of bright red blood I stood up and felt like I was having a wee. I was convinced I had lost DC I was 9/10 weeks.. DC was/is fine and 14 years later I still have no idea what caused it but it has never happened again. Having said that you should always get checked out by mw just to be safe.

HollidayArmadillo · 27/10/2018 17:12

In my pregnancy with my third baby I bled on and off with clots from around 9/10 weeks until around 21/22 weeks
They couldn't find where the bleed was coming from and No explanation was ever really given, then it just stopped
That baby will be 3 next week

It is so frightening and stressful
Everything crossed for you 🤞🏻

kpeanut94 · 27/10/2018 17:14

I had a bright red bleed at 8 weeks.
Couldn't find a reason for it, went back a week later still spotting brown blood and they found a subchorionic hematoma which is a pocket of blood/bruise near the sac. I have bled since although just starting to tail off.

I'm 9 weeks now and seen the baby today on the scan doing fine.
This is a picture of my bleed area from today...

Thankyou all ❤ I tried ringing epu this morning they're only open till 12 on Saturdays but they didn't answer and I've messaged my midwife who hasn't replied but I don't blame her she only works certain days. Will just have my scan tomorrow morning and go from there 🤞

I had really heavy bleeding with my DD1 in the first trimester. I was completely shattered and it really took it out of me. The only thing was, I didn't actually know that I was pregnant at the time!

I still went on to have a healthy baby after I had got over the shock of finding out I was pregnant!

Good luck OP - please keep us posted. Flowers

xJune88 · 27/10/2018 17:17

That's a scan from last Thursday a day after the giant bleed I then had a scan at epu on the Friday. There are a few black lines/shadows but I asked and asked and private and epu said they couldn't see anything

I had a mass bleed at 12 weeks and was sure that was the start of my miscarriage. Went for the scan and it was actually one of the arteries rupturing from the placenta. Baby was fine but I did have extra monitoring through the rest of my pregnancy...

Amidoingtheright · 27/10/2018 17:20

I had 3 episodes of bleeding with my last pregnancy. One was what seemed like an awful lot of blood and I was sure I had miscarried. Book a private scan for the next day and baby was totally fine. They never did work out what was causing the bleeding.

Pieceofpurplesky · 27/10/2018 17:35

I had a bleed at 11 weeks and all was fine. Hope all goes well tomorrow

EdgyMcNervous · 27/10/2018 17:38

Another one who had a big first trimester bleed. I was pregnant straight after a miscarriage and was convinced I’d lost this baby too. She’ll be 11 at Christmas 🙂 Really hope all is ok for you

user1533903238 · 27/10/2018 17:38

Yes, heavy gushing bleed around 7-8 weeks. They found no explanation and all was fine with rest of the pregnancy. I remember the wait for the scan was pretty agonising Flowers

LivingForNaptime · 27/10/2018 17:41

Currently breastfeeding my happy, healthy 6 month old massive bleed! Like others was a subchorionic heamatoma at about 9 weeks. I hadn't come across that before so I was sure I had lost the baby, it was a horrible time.

Fingers crossed for you OP.

Twodogsandahooch · 27/10/2018 17:44

Yes I had several large bleeds with DD2 , 6 weeks 8 weeks and 10.5 weeks. I was terrified as had had 3MC before conceiving her. No further bleeds and uneventful pregnancy after.
Will be thinking of you

Busyfool · 27/10/2018 18:19

Yes- heavy bleed @ 6 weeks & too early in pregnancy to go to hospital for a scan.
I had negative pregnancy tests 2 weeks after bleed which midwife confirmed as MC.
Checked in with doctors 12 weeks after 'miscarriage' as periods hadn't returned & I had been pregnant all along! No miscarriage.
My first scan showed a happy, healthy 23 week old baby bobbing about.
Haven't had any explanation of what my heavy bleed was in the end.
Take every day as it comes... worrying cannot help nature take its course on this extremely bumpy ride we go through to have little ones.
Take care xxx

stegosauruslady · 27/10/2018 18:57

I had several light and two heavy bright red bleeds between weeks 15-19, I'm now 29 weeks and he is perfectly healthy! They couldn't see any evidence of bleeding on the 20 week scan.

Reccy2018 · 27/10/2018 20:06

I had heavy red bleed at 9 weeks, all fine.

meetthewildes · 27/10/2018 20:36

I had an enormous bleed at about seven weeks - left a train carriage looking like an animal had been slaughtered in it. Clots the size of hamsters, it was horrific.

Baby was fine. I’m 40+3 today. Best of luck, you are in my thoughts. X

Mrstobe90 · 28/10/2018 00:36

I have no advice but just want to offer a hand hold and say that I really hope all goes well tomorrow.
Wishing you all the best xxx
