Well today is my due date but still no baby! DD was born on her due date so was expecting to go before today. Definitely fed up and ready to go. I’ve tried walking more today... fingers crossed!

Leevery · 06/10/2018 15:35

Fingers crossed for you 🤞@Tilliebean. I'm still struggling with this cold ive got....really getting me down. My poor kids are bored as i cant do much because I'm not sleeping and can barely breath. 😞🤧

Sophwalms · 06/10/2018 18:37

Im 37+3 and I'm having a dull achy period pain in my lower back now which has been there for about an hour can't shift it, plus diahorrea today lots of pressure down below. I don't know what it could be xx

MrsMarmite1234 · 07/10/2018 10:57

@Sophwalms any progress? Exciting!

Sophwalms · 07/10/2018 11:22

@MrsMarmite1234 I went to mau last night and got cervix checked I'm 1cm dilated so things are moving abit so hopefully not to long xx

iLanny · 07/10/2018 13:01

It’s good to hear some of us are starting to make a bit of progress.

I’ve hit the 40 week milestone today and no sign of anything happening, other than the occasional mild period cramp pain. Looks like I better get my walking shoes on!

Markygirl1995 · 07/10/2018 18:40

Anyone getting pelvic pain? Feels achy and stretchy hoping it means I'm dilating!!

Meebs · 07/10/2018 21:12

Had some very mild period pain like pain today, but no pelvic pain! Bought a pineapple which I plan to demolish tomorrow because apparently there's something in it that helps start labour. Not very optimistic though.

Sophwalms · 07/10/2018 21:32

I tried pineapple no luck! I will try nipple stimulation this week while my son and DP is at work xx

Meganc559 · 08/10/2018 00:34

I had a spicey curry tonight, feeling.uncomfortable and a bit sick tbh but nothing!! Xx

Tilliebean · 09/10/2018 11:35

Still pregnant! 40+3, midwife managed a sweep today and sounds like things are reasonably favourable. Just hoping it works!

Markygirl1995 · 09/10/2018 11:39

@Tilliebean hopefully that'll work and you'll be holding your baby soon!

I'm unable to walk in the mornings without severe pelvic pain. Hoping baby is properly engaged and something could be happening soon!

Yeah walking is not comfortable! I am just heading out to the shop to try and encourage labour. A sweep worked with DD, so fingers crossed. I honestly was surprised the midwife could do one!

Meebs · 09/10/2018 17:16

Reached 39 weeks, no baby yet! Walked around town for 2 hours and that just caused braxton hicks but nothing else... Looks like we might all be here a while waiting... Anyone making any progress?

laurenluke2017 · 09/10/2018 17:20

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. Have my planned section booked Monday 15th. Cannot wait, just making sure the house is in order hubby cleaning all the car out everywhere is sparkling. So excited now first time Mummy here :) Also I checked on mothercare and the pram set I got by silvercross I paid £650 for the 5 piece set has gone back up to £835 so I feel happy i got a bargain!! Woohoo 😄😄 #countingdownthedays Thrilled for all you mums to be and for the mums who have had there babies already! Enjoy every moment. I can't wait😄 I will stop waffling on now he he !!

Tilliebean · 09/10/2018 17:38

Well ive had contractions for about 4 hours now but not quite to hospital point yet. Hopefully they won’t stop and baby will arrive tonight!

Meganc559 · 09/10/2018 17:45

Aw good luck tilliebean! So exciting! Xx

Tonioxx · 09/10/2018 17:51

Hi everyone. I’m 37+4 with first baby. I’m experiencing some pretty horrendous lower back pain, feeling really uncomfortable and tired. They have only came round to my stomach a few times but the pains unbearable. I’m in the bath at the moment trying to ease the pain. Any advice? Am I in labour? I’m stressed.

Meganc559 · 09/10/2018 17:54

Is it a constant pain or coming and going? See how the bath helps and if it's just as sore when you get out or worse then maybe call triage x

Tonioxx · 09/10/2018 17:55

It started off as a few twinges this morning in bed, I got up tidied and did my shop at Asda and they started getting worse. Now my back pain feels like it’s constantly there :(

Tonioxx · 09/10/2018 17:55

X

Meganc559 · 10/10/2018 00:31

I just did a massive tidy of the house and my backs killing me too! I think it's maybe just doing too much, while being so late on x

Markygirl1995 · 10/10/2018 07:17

@Meganc559 I get that when I tidy up and cook horrible isn't it! It's like a dull ache that doesn't seem to go unless sat down

laurenluke2017 · 10/10/2018 08:20

I have constant back pain but me being me refuses to take any medication lol 5 nights to go counting down the days xx

Tilliebean · 10/10/2018 08:38

DD2 arrived last night at 2am. Despite all my reading my second labour wasn't that much shorter, was more painful and resulted in worse tearing! However she's here and we are both doing well!! Glad I didn't have her labour the first time around!
