Hey girls, couldn't see a thread for mums due in October so thought I'd start one as it's October tomorrow!! Anyone had their baby yet or due due soon? I'm due on 17th can't work out if he'll be late or early 😓

Best advice is to fast from 10pm tonight and just drink water till your appointment and ask!

I used a TENS machine with DD. Highly recommend, it really did help. I didn’t realise how much until I took it off to get in the pool!

Markygirl1995 · 30/09/2018 16:56

I'm hoping to just use gas and air and unless completely necessary I'll opt for epidural

Due on the 16th with my first!! And guess what! It's a boy!! Lol. Really hope I don't go overdue!!!

Gemmamarie92 · 01/10/2018 12:48

Just been to consultant and baby has gone down on the chart from last time
So just to be on safe side he’s booked me in for induction on the 9th ! I’m soo excited now can’t wait to meet him! Roll on next Tuesday

NordicNobody · 01/10/2018 12:56

I'm due on the 3rd with my second. I had to be induced with my first and am desperately hoping not to repeat that experience! If there's an old wives tale about getting labour started, I've tried it. So far no dice though!

iLanny · 01/10/2018 15:19

Hello ladies!

Due with my first on the 7th so getting there. I keep getting cramps and BH that I feel are going to turn into contractions but no such luck.

Let’s hope some babies start to appear soon!

Markygirl1995 · 01/10/2018 17:12

Does anyone have any tips to encourage labour?

FTM due 28th of october with a baby boy Halo. I went for my GD test 2 weeks ago, after my MF found glucose in urine sample. GTT came back positive with 9.0 - i am "blessed" with a massive GD warning sticker on my notes & a blood glucose reader.... baby's size is still normal. Hope they dont allow him to stay longer than 40 weeks though!

@markygirl1995, I bought red raspberry leaf tea & might order the capsules of amazon too. I welcome any other ideas ! :)

Babynamechange123 · 02/10/2018 07:20

I'm due on the 9th with my second but having him tomorrow via planned section. Got my pre op this morning and it's all dawning on me that today is my last day as a mum of one! It's all very exciting and scary!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 02/10/2018 07:53

I'm due on the 25th, also with a boy. Have been told baby is big (above 90th centile) so I'm bricking it as DD was tiny and I struggled to push her out! I'm already the size of a house and very uncomfortable with SPD. Might give these raspberry leaf capsules a go to see if I can get things moving before he gets even more huge!

Thegirlhasnoname · 02/10/2018 07:57

Lots of people having boys here!

I’m due my first (a girl) on the 27th but midwife said that I’ll most likely be encouraged to get things moving early due to babies size and she was willing to put money on an induction or section being discussed at my growth scan today. Babies dad is a full foot taller than I am so I’m blaming him for the big baby (especially as GD etc have all come back negative!!)

BobbleHat102 · 02/10/2018 08:03

Hello october mothers to be!! Due on 18th but having a planned section on the 11th. Can't wait to meet my wee girl!!

sparkles212 · 02/10/2018 08:34

Anyone else desperately wishing for a Halloween baby or am I just a freak? Always my favourite time of year! I'm due on 25th with potential induction around next weekend depending on next Fris growth scan but defo wouldn't be upset if she was a few days late on 31st! My grans birthday is Halloween and she always told us she was a witch, even had a proper broom 😂 always thought it was magical as a kid.

Good luck to all with your labours over the coming days and weeks 💐

Rooroo1012 · 02/10/2018 11:20

Due 27th! This is DS2.
Bored bored bored.....Still at work until the 19th Oct!! Lord give me strength.
Bump has dropped so much I feel like he's going to fall out of my bits and don't get me started on sleeping. My back hurts sooooo much right now! I'm hoping he comes early, I've had enough!

HelenSim33 · 02/10/2018 11:47

I'm due on the 21st with baby number 2. But I'm really suffering with back ache and pelvis pain so I hope he or she comes sooner rather than later! My DS was 2 weeks early, so fingers crossed this baby follows the same pattern!

Meebs · 02/10/2018 16:45

Due 16th October with a big baby boy too! Bump has dropped a lot and having pains here and there with lots of braxton hicks but no actual labour yet. Feel so exhausted and uncomfy so hoping he's early! Sad We're nearly there!

Markygirl1995 · 02/10/2018 17:20

Feel like baby hasn't dropped yet actually keep getting severe heartburn 😢

AurorasEncore · 02/10/2018 19:21

Hi October mum's. I'm due 11th with dc2. Also a big 95th centile boy! It's weird isn't it.

So fed up with SPD pain on the left it's agony. Never had this with number 1!

Sophwalms · 02/10/2018 19:33

@Markygirl1995 I get terrible heartburn it's awful went to see my midwife today and baby's head is engaged! So maybe yours has too x

Markygirl1995 · 02/10/2018 19:59

@Sophwalms ah I hope so I just want him here soon!! 😢😢

OP posts:
Sophwalms · 02/10/2018 20:25

@Markygirl1995 me too I'm so ready! Will be trying all sorts of things to get things going this weekend xx

Leevery · 03/10/2018 06:26

Hi, I'm due 18th with my 3rd. Very fed up. Can't sleep, and to make things worse I have a head cold 😔🤧🤒

MrsMarmite1234 · 04/10/2018 09:48

Hi Ladies - 38+3 here. Was at the midwife yesterday and I’m still 4/5 engaged, the same as 36+3 🙄 has anyone else had sort of stabbing pains in the cervix?!
