Hey girls, couldn't see a thread for mums due in October so thought I'd start one as it's October tomorrow!! Anyone had their baby yet or due due soon? I'm due on 17th can't work out if he'll be late or early 😓

@MrsMarmite1234 I get that! I'm 3/5 engaged at 37 weeks and it's like a weird feeling inside lol. Woke up with a stinking cold this morning xx

Markygirl1995 · 04/10/2018 11:16

@Sophwalms @MrsMarmite1234 yes only at night though 🤔 probably nothing for me 😂

Stinking cold here too. I did read that it’s an old wives tale of labour being imminent...I think I’m just clutching at straws though. These last few weeks really do last years!

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 04/10/2018 11:31

has anyone else had sort of stabbing pains in the cervix?!

God yes, the dreaded "Fanny Daggers"! Had them with baby no 1 too.

Sophwalms · 04/10/2018 11:41

@MrsMarmite1234 I read that too!! Fingers crossed! Sneezing and crossing legs all the time lol. Don't want any accidents it feels like I've been pregnant forever come on October babies xx

Leevery · 04/10/2018 12:23

I've heard that old wives tale, but also heard that your body waits till its back to full strength before anything happens Sad. Last few weeks are defo taking ages. x

Sophwalms · 04/10/2018 14:32

Hope this is right then don't want to have my baby with a stinking cold! Xx

MrsMarmite1234 · 04/10/2018 20:20

I genuinely don’t think I could push a bang out at the moment 😂 the fanny daggers really are something else. Let’s hope it’s our bodies gearing up for labour!

MrsMarmite1234 · 04/10/2018 20:20

Bang?! Should say baby!

Sophwalms · 04/10/2018 20:59

😂😂😂 i no lol ive got so much pressure down there! does yours feel like abit of stabbing feeling and feels heavy inside? thats what means like every few seconds for a minute then goes away xx

MrsMarmite1234 · 04/10/2018 21:00

Yep. Every time I stand up it feels like everything is just going to fall out 😳

Sophwalms · 04/10/2018 21:01

Omg I'm the same! Going to try and get things going this weekend if I feel better ordered my pineapple and get my breast pump out lol x

MrsMarmite1234 · 04/10/2018 22:01

Sophwalms · 04/10/2018 22:13

😂 have u tried anything yet to get things going x

Milesy351 · 04/10/2018 22:57

Hi ladies! Due with my first October 20th! Exciting and petrified all at once but mostly missing my sleep!! Think I’m averaging an hour each night! Lots of BH so hopefully baby will be here in the next 2 weeks!! Thanks for the sage oil tip - never heard of that! Best of luck to everyone!

laurenluke2017 · 04/10/2018 23:38

@Markygirl1995 Hey! We are due on the same date 17th Oct as you know. But I'm booked for my planned caesarean on the 15th of October. So 10 days to go until I meet little man. Hoping I don't go into labour before, trying to be as relaxed as can be but trying not to think about it to much. Very excited though! I do sit here and think wow I have been pregnant forever! Smile

Markygirl1995 · 05/10/2018 09:57

Hi @Milesy351 best of luck and thanks for joining us :) @laurenluke2017 ah so jealous I'd do anything to have my baby here now! This is my rainbow baby and didn't have a period in between the last so technically have been pregnant for 12 months 😳😳

OP posts:
laurenluke2017 · 05/10/2018 10:02

@Markygirl1995 Mine too, I had the implant for 6 years no period for 6 years then I had it taken out and was pregnant the next day. Again no period! So been pregnant 10months but haven't had a period in years! I must of been ovulating the day it was out as me and hubby didn't mess around in "trying" and boom! The next day was mental! Looking forward to baby coming out 9 days and our son is here. 💙👶🏻 Good luck to you x

MrsMarmite1234 · 05/10/2018 11:48

@Sophwalms not really - mainly because I can’t be bothered 😂 I’m booked in for a sweep next week af 40+2 but hoping I won’t make it that far. Have you had any signs that something might be happening?

Sophwalms · 05/10/2018 11:56

@MrsMarmite1234 oh exciting! Well baby is 3/5 engaged and I'm having lots of pressure so it's just waiting game now I'll be eating loads of pineapple this weekend xx

RowenaDedalus · 05/10/2018 14:32

Hi everyone 👋I’m 40+4 so hoping to have a baby soon! Having lots of Braxton Hicks and crampy pains and would love to meet my baby soon (ftm)!

Markygirl1995 · 05/10/2018 16:11

@laurenluke2017 just had my midwife appointment and couldn't feel the presentation of the baby so have a scan Wednesday so if he is breach I would only assume it would be c section 😳😳 this little boy is so stubborn so he could yet be a week early not sure would they would do being I will be 39 weeks when having the scan

OP posts:
laurenluke2017 · 05/10/2018 16:17

@Markygirl1995 Bless you if baby is breech they will offer a c-section as its the safest way for him to be born. I am having a section for MH reasons, on the 15th as I feel this is the safest way for my son to be born. If he is breech, they'll get you booked ASAP more than likely around the same say as me or on your due date. I hope it all works out for you my dear, try to be cool. I have my fingers crossed he turns for you or is just being silly and he is head down. Where do you feel your kicks the most? That should indicate more where his feet are. My boy is head down and boy do I feel it in the ribs! 🤞🏻👶🏻💙

Markygirl1995 · 05/10/2018 16:19

@laurenluke2017 worrying thing is I'm so unsure I want to say he is head down but I've been feeling rolls up too and kicks down below so it's so hard to say!

OP posts:
laurenluke2017 · 05/10/2018 16:27

@Markygirl1995 Bless you hun. Even if he is breech and you don't make it till your planned date of section they'll treat you as an emergency/ semi-elective. It'll all be in your notes for the obstetrician to read when you get to hospital so I wouldn't worry. You'll have a clearer picture on Wednesday, just try to keep it cool and not to worry to much. I have my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 The least you worry the quicker it flys by, I had to wait for 2 weeks for my appointment to see if my son was still breech. But I just kept a positive mind and myself busy Smile
