Hi everyone, I really hope you don't mind me joining!

I'm 25 and my husband is 24. We got our BFP for our second baby on Monday and so excited! All being well, baby is due on 30th May 2019.

Congratulations everyone on the BFPs, hope you're all feeling great!

buntingandstarcharts · 19/09/2018 21:43

@LokiWho we know where to come for medical help, thanks again ❤️❤️

buntingandstarcharts · 19/09/2018 21:44

@MrsChance congrats! Course you can join! Due one day after me x

RiverMeadow · 19/09/2018 22:04

@MrsChance congratulations and welcome Smile

India1819 · 20/09/2018 06:53

Congrats @MrsChance!

I’m thinking about paying for an early scan as it doesn’t feel real at the moment, pretty much symptom free at 6+4.

Thing is does it actually put your mind at rest? If I had one now something could still go wrong at say 8/9 weeks surely? Or would the scan pick that up? Sorry it’s all so new!

MrsChance · 20/09/2018 07:11

Thank you @buntingandstarcharts and @RiverMeadows Smile

Oh due dates one day apart - how exciting!

How is everyone feeling?

MrsChance · 20/09/2018 07:19

@India1819

Thank you, congrats to you too!

I paid for an early scan with my son (we had a bit of scare and thought I was miscarrying, but everything turned out to be fine!). We went for a scan after that at about 7+4 and we saw the heartbeat and everything. We decided to tell people after that because the chance of miscarrying goes down so much after seeing the heartbeat, and everything was fine for the rest of the pregnancy.

Going for another early scan this time round at nearer 9 weeks, and all being well we’ll tell people then!

Don’t worry about being symptom free, I think lots of people are early on! Smile

Lorrie3 · 20/09/2018 09:11

@India1819 im in your boat pretty much symptom free at 8+5 bar a few niggles and small weight gain!!
Its nervey alright

buntingandstarcharts · 20/09/2018 09:49

Hey guys - I found a chart which put my mind at rest slightly. The chance of miscarrying at 5 weeks is only 19% which is lower than I thought. The link is here if yipi want to see:
datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php

Obviously we aren't in the safety zone but in my head I was more likely to miscarry than not so this helps me.

TwinkleBear · 20/09/2018 11:09

It's really reassuring to read that other people are also symptom free. I was really worried that it's a bad sign that I don't have morning sickness or smell aversions or anything but I'm glad to see other ladies are similar.

I am tempted to book an early scan but hubby says we should just wait. It completely doesn't feel real yet!

7 weeks today, due 9th May! Every little twinge is so scary!

Opheliasgoldenwine · 20/09/2018 11:50

Seven weeks today, can't wait to be out of the first 12 weeks. It still doesn't feel really real just yet, although my stomach is very bloated. I don't have many symptoms either.

TwinkleBear · 20/09/2018 12:08

Due date buddies @Opheliasgoldenwine !!! I definitely feel bloated and keep asking hubby do I look bigger do I look bigger hahah and he very kindly keeps insisting I don't. Boobs have definitely got bigger but don't feel too sensitive!

Youvegotafriendinme · 20/09/2018 12:26

I’m 7 weeks tomorrow and it’s gone quickly so far. I have been really sick today though. I’ve only had a couple of hours of nausea each morning but today I’ve actually been sick a few times and still feel ill now. I just pray this time it’s not as bad as when I was pregnant with my DS.

It’s weird how, only 7 weeks in this is already quite different to my first pregnancy. Not only are we not telling any one but I also keep forgetting I’m pregnant because we haven’t told anyone. I actually bought sashimi yesterday, which I then couldn’t eat 🙈

I only have 5 more sleeps till I have my early scan and I’m equal parts excited and scared Hmm

xJune88 · 20/09/2018 12:27

6 weeks no symptoms here either. 2 previous losses so going out of my mind had some pink spotting/discharge 2 days ago but stopped as soon as it started and nothing since so hope it was bean getting snuggled. Just bloated, gassy and mild niggles and pains. Going to have a scan next week epu said they would scan me past 6 weeks due to previous losses, mmc and spotting so will try them if not I'll pay privately x

Countrygirl94 · 20/09/2018 12:55

@buntingandstarcharts that's reassured me a bit. I'm 5 weeks today and terrified at every little pain.
Keep getting niggling aches and pains. Also have started feeling sick in the morning.

@TwinkleBear my hubby is the same he says to wait though I'm so nervous!

TwinkleBear · 20/09/2018 13:14

I can't wait to start telling people and get to those magical 12 weeks :) have a midwife appt booked in for 10 weeks, so hopefully won't have to wait too long for a scan after that.

@Countrygirl94 I definitely relate, every little tiny pain I panic. Sometimes I'll turn over in bed or shift my position sitting down and feel a little cramp on my lower right side and be like oh no! Is everything ok!?!

Had some very slightly pink spotting for 2-3 days but then it stopped so I've calmed down a bit about that.

I'd love to know when cravings start, looking forward to experiencing some weird ones 😂

Countrygirl94 · 20/09/2018 14:35

@TwinkleBear it's my right side that I'm getting twinges too, fingers crossed that means it's a good thing.
I can't wait to be able to tell people, we have a night out next week with the in laws and all taxis have been booked so we can all have a drink and I've no clue how I'm gonna get through it without looking suspicious! Already told DH he'll have to down my drinks when no ones looking 😂

TwinkleBear · 20/09/2018 14:44

Fingers crossed it's a good sign @Countrygirl94 !!

You could do what @India1819 did below and speak to the barman and explain the situation and ask him to give you some kind of sparkling fizzy drink or grape juice or something that looks like wine 😀

Or have hubby down them too, that works!

RiverMeadow · 20/09/2018 14:46

My mum has just straight up asked me if I'm pregnant. I done the usual like oh my word goodness me no, no I'm not I'm definitely not. She burst out laughing saying you are you are. Normally I'm so good at keeping a straight face but I burst out laughing before spinning her some tale about not trying til next year... she will give me a grilling for the next 7 weeks I can feel it!

Countrygirl94 · 20/09/2018 14:56

@TwinkleBear I did think of that. And it'll be fine when we are ordering the drinks I'll just get lemonade and say it's a vodka and lemonade! 😂

@RiverMeadow haha that's funny. Are you gonna manage to keep it from her or do you think you might tell her early?

TwinkleBear · 20/09/2018 14:59

Hahaha amazing @RiverMeadow! Do you think there was anything specific that made her ask you?

Bettyhop · 20/09/2018 15:10

@rivermeadow my mum guessed too!! She said we know you're pregnant 😁 I just burst out laughing and fessed up...it's lovely to be able to talk to her about it I couldn't have kept it to myself xxx

Mummytoboyxx · 20/09/2018 15:51

I’ve told my mum and sister and a couple of close friends. They were all there for me during my mc, and I know I’d tell them if something went wrong again. I think it’s nice to confide in a few close friends or family as it’s such a special time and I want to share it xx

RiverMeadow · 20/09/2018 16:09

@TwinkleBear @Countrygirl94 Well she was saying I would love it if you had another baby etc but don't keep it from me like you did last time (I already have 1 DC) I said no if I was to have another I would do the same again as I would want to know everything was ok first, which then prompted the interrogation ha ha. I will tell her after 12 weeks scan because she couldn't keep a secret to save her life!

Lorrie3 · 20/09/2018 16:10

@bettyhop how did your mum guess ?? Did you have any visible signs or sickness? Im afraid my mum will guess and i dunno if i should tell her? We were going to wait until the scan confirmed everything is hopefully all good but i don't have a date yet and am 8 weeks!
