Just wanted to start a new thread for anyone who has just got their BFP.
What do I do now?
When do I phone the Drs?

@bouncer4me me and my DH were always terrified of this, worked in the same company for years. It happened once but the the paygrades above us so whilst I don't know what it's like fully I can certainly understand the panic!

If they're offering UC, I'd take it. Even if it just buys you nappies it's one less thing to worry about. Will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

My scan is Monday too. Nerves are starting to kick in but also excitement. I am hoping if all is well I'll finally let myself feel happy and excited without the worry. At least for a while!
DH and I have already picked out one small thing to buy for baby if all goes well!
How are you feeling about it?

@rivermeadow we've still to have ours next Thursday. Can't wait. Slightly nervous but hopefully all will be well. :)

Joining please. 15 weeks tomorrow due May 13th had 2 previous losses at 6/7 and 14 weeks (baby died around 9 mmc) have a EHC in this pregnancy which is causing a lot of bleeding and stress so still don't feel safe or even pregnant it's very strange. Is anyone showing yet with their first? I just look a little fat like I have a little muffin top I'm a size 8. Hope everyone is ok xx

Welcome @xJune88. Sorry to hear about your previous losses Congratulations on your rainbow baby. I’m a size 10 and already starting to show. A lot of my work colleagues guessed before I told them. This is number 2 for me and I’m definitely showing quicker second time around xx

Thankyou yeah alot of people from work are eyeing me up and down haha but I'm not ready to go public yet just don't feel safe. Haven't told my family yet so defo won't be telling colleagues! I can't wait to have a proper bump!! Xx

Is everything doing the NT screening?

Mikewazowskismrs , I had the test as was recommended, I was told the nuchal fold was 1.5 which was good just awaiting the blood results now but hopeful nothing is wrong, we've announced it now to everyone as I couldn't really hide it anymore as my bump has popped out but this is baby number 3 !

That’s a good result for the fold so I’m sure it’ll be ok especially as it’s number 3. Mine was 2.7 I think so im a bit worried but been reading a lot of positive stories so trying not to think about it too much.

They’ve told me they won’t phone unless it’s a high risk result so I’m praying I don’t get a phone call!

Yeah it's the only time you don't want a phone call isn't it ! I hAd mine Thursday she said I'd hear on Monday if I needed to have further tests

@mikewazowskismrs mine was 2.5 so was also a bit worried. Got the letter today though and we're low risk, 1 in 820 so calmer now!
Although baby #1 was 1 in 2800 so not sure what factors have increased the risk here. I'm older and fatter which are the main changes lol.
Fingers crossed no phone calls for anyone!

Were well and truly out in the open now too. DH had the afternoon off to come with me to the scan and told his colleagues he had a hospital appointment but obviously not the reason. Busy body there decided it would be great fun to 'guess' why he had an appointment and wrote down what she thought on a piece of paper, which naturally said '2nd baby'. Other colleague interrupted her and said that everyone could see what she'd written down, cue lots of disapproving looks from the office but she thought it was hilarious. Wasn't until DH had to actually spell it out to her why he might not want to share the news yet that she shut the hell up. I hate people sometimes.
Was happy to share after the scan of course!

There’s always one eh? A few people in my work knew before the scan but thankfully they respected my wishes and kept quiet. Hopefully that put her in her place!
