Congratulations @Sparkles1992. Boys are so much fun! Did you have a private scan? I’m trying to convince DH that we should have one before Christmas to find out, otherwise I don’t think we’ll know until the new year xx

@Sparkles1992 it’s still a little bit too early but we are planning to in a private scan a few days before Xmas.

I’m convinced I’m having a boy too.

I've been looking at private scans as we want to find out what were having and don't know if I can wait until 21st Dec to see baby again. I think I'm having a girl x

It was a private scan yes, got my 20 week one on the 21st Dec but couldn't wait that long! I had a good feeling I was having a boy so wasn't totally surprised but it was nice to buy some boy clothes

I've just requested too.
So, things have not been quite straight forward on our holiday. I was hospitalised yesterday due to massive abdominal cramps - suspected gastritis.
Feeling a whole lot better now thankfully though but just hoping they'll discharge me at lunch as we're due to fly home tonight.
Nice side "effect" though is that they checked the baby out straight away and all is well with the little bean. Heard a strong heartbeat, so was absolutely delighted. Silver lining and all that.

Thank you both. I feel a whole lot better today. Just waiting on the doctor to come by and hopefully let me go at lunch time. Quite frankly just want to get home to my bed.
It was really scary but I'm glad it wasn't anything affecting the baby. I genuinely think the only reason they admitted me was because I'm pregnant...

I'm at the airport as we speak! So glad I got the all clear at the hospital today. They also did another ultrasound to check the baby and the little bean was waving at us! As awful as I've been feeling, I feel truly blessed to have seen this little bebe twice in two days and our dating scan is tomorrow. I got totally emotional over it all though.
Can't wait to get home and to my own bed. :)

@RiverMeadow have you read about the nub theory? You can look at 12 week scan and see the shape of the .... 'bits' and deduct boy or girl (it's not exactly a willy or Fanny yet but it's beginning to form) mine is 10000% boy. Look...that little raised bit! I'm def finding out but feel like I already know x

I'm so glad we have had loads of positive scans recently.
Did anyone else not do the downs test at the dating scan?
We're not going to find out the sex as it's our first so we're just happy everything is good.

Realised I didn't do an update. Our scan went well too. Done on two parts as baby wouldn't co-operate moving around so they sent us to the cafe for caffeine and chocolate. They managed to do the measurements after that.

I'm pleased they moved me forward 5 days so my due date went from 29th to 24th May. Hurrah!

Picture wasn't especially clear as I'm on the heavier side but it was clear enough for us to see baby moving around so I'm relieved!

@buntingandstarcharts I have read about it but I can't see one on mine at all?? I've posted the bottom bit? What looks like 3 lines is actually a hand?

@farminerbump We did the extra screening. Just so we could be more prepared more than anything xx
